Ah, please massa JK. I loves me my little ticker. |
Ah. I'm rarely speechless. I thought you and the Muslims woulda been on the same side on this. Anyways, carry on. Goodluck ese. |
Lol. Infinite regression aside, how did God create Mr. Adam? Oh, yeah, with sand like Imhotep in The Mummy. Why is it so hard to understand that evolution doesn't disprove God's existence? |
No o. It means a cult is the Catholic Church |
. . . . I'm not stuck in here with you. You're stuck in here with me! Watchmen |
My word |
Jaysus |
Lager, you started out as though in support countering the previous poster's point but later it looked like you were now giving your own anti-JW points. Which is it? |
Lol. I see you've upgraded your flattery software to version 7.4 |
Did you cross check the rest or only that one jumped out at you? Jk. Skip town while you still can. Your dna is all over the crime scene |
Sigh |
Yeah, man. I saw you last running away from a dinosaur. |
To what or whom do we owe the honour, Sisi? |
Green Zone. |
Well, let's see. The movies that almost confused me but didn't, lol: Fight Club, Shutter Island (many people say it was predictable but I didn't know where it was headed till the end), Memento (strangely it has a similar ending to Shutter Island), 12 Monkeys and Max Payne (probably cuz I didn't pay any attention). I can't remember any more. I was gonna open a thread dedicated to hashing out such movies. And another one for iice. But I'm the next greatest procastinator after the Nigerian goverment. |
Choke. Choke. I can't breathe. Choking. |
Normally you're supposed to choose three films, outta which we vote and the one with the highest votes gets to be reviewed. Mathematically, this ensures atleast three reviews. But since you choose only one . . . . . . . |
Happy birthday Ogaga. Sometimes you sound like a normal person. |
Hmmm. I agree with you somewhat, Ogaga, not vehemently. A movie naturally seems better if you can relate with it. The Social Network seems better than it really is but that doesn't mean it sucks. It's still a good movie, just hyped. |
The dude is an adrenaline junkie. He didn't think it was anything he couldn't handle at first. He made a video satiring his foolishness and it was when it dawned on him that the pearly gates beckoned that he really got worried. His predicament shoulda sprung the quintessential five stages of denial, anger, bargaining, depression and acceptance but his own were acceptance, anger, denial, bargaining and refusal. It's like stuff from a self help brochure. What I expected the film to dwell on was the depression (which was missing hence no tragedy) but it did not. There was a game show analogy instead, hence the comedy. The guy didn't even cry once if I recall. After the whole shebang, he went right back to skiing and whatever adrenaline fix he could manage. Realistic is exactly what I'm being. Inasmuch as I didn't say it was obvious to me in particular, knowing he was gonna cut his arm before seeing the movie doesn't mean I wouldn't have figured it out without knowing beforehand. Anyone woulda and shoulda. I liked the hallucination about the rain and the rock moving due to the water's upthrust. Wishful thinking. Classic denial. Now you've made me sound like I hate the movie. About my movie taste. It's simplicity itself but another time. |
Blame JT and leave Andrew Garfield alone o. I'm gonna be watching that dude closely. He's gonna be the future. Jesse was actually very good too but you have the feeling he never left his comfort zone. He remembers and executes his lines perfectly. |
Yeah. I almost forgot that you were hitched to my guy. The film was cool o. I dug The Red Hood more though. There out to be a sequel. That new wannabe sidekick should play a bigger role. And I'm enchanted by that seven centuries old count or whatever he is. |
Lol. Atleast there was pee |
Sigh. It's so far over your head it's not even fun anymore. I agree that the old Star Wars were more awe inspiring but the later ones were much darker. |
Sure it was. He lost his hand in the end. I expected him to have lost the whole of his forearm due to gangrene but he lost what seemed to be just his hand. Immediately the film started, it was obvious he'd have to cut it, so cutting it and surviving the ordeal is a hell of a happy ending. |
Any Bookmaker would put odds of exactly 1 on Colin winning the Oscar. 127hours was ok but it wasn't all that jare. It was like a comedy and it shoulda been a moving tragic tale. |
Ach, Ijaw girl. I was being naughty. Star Wars is not a trilogy na. If not that you were a girl, this woulda been unforgiveable. |
What Love Is. Ironically I saw this on Valentine's day. It was funny. The Time Traveler's Wife. Twas cute. Equilibrium. I hadn't seen this film before. Really good story. Too good an ending though. Coulda done with a more inspired cast though. 20mins of John Tucker Must Die. Batman: Under the Red Hood. Awesome animation. It may be only me but it coulda been as awesome a movie. The Joker here was on point. |
Lame. You're rolling a snowball up a mountain. |
Which year was Matrix Revolutions, Obi? |
As they say, the converts are the most convinced. |
hmmmn, I thought you hated Black Swan in advance Ijaw girl. Got a pleasant sucker punch there eh? I saw a bunch of films and I won't talk much about them: True Grit, very good. Social Network: one of the best dialogues I've seen in a while and there are a lotta actors I'll be keeping tabs on. Green Hornet: surprisingly not bad. Plenty carnage. Seth still hurts my eyes though. Pocahontas II, Hunchback of Notre Dame I and II. Coolest Disney villains. 127 hours: Not what I expected in the sense that it was predictable. It shoulda been longer too. It was still interesting though. |
