Bah. Shakespeare lies all the time. Speaking of Craig, I learnt he's in a new film with Hugh Jackman. I learnt this on Oprah where I also learnt Mariah Carey starred in one of those conscience films. I learnt that make up does magic. Lack of it does even greater magic. JeSoul, remember I stopped picking on you tay tay in case you decide to unleash your dragon. Spike, naija public might not rush to see something like IB. Hence, |
Y'all stop picking on JeSoul. You're gonna make a freedom fighter out of her. She and her views'll become immortal and then y'all would really be screwed. Why is nobody talking about New Moon? Especially iice. |
Merde! I'll have to go finish Norbit for JeSoul's sake. You've been ge |
My aphrodisiac is back |
Uh, Ok. No more researching. I knew Henry was notorious for being sort of polygamous but I thought that was Henry III. I've already lost interest jare, what with all that vie for power and blodshed and incestous brouhaha. Bloody Mary, like the cocktail. I see. Everything has some history. @Max, It was cold, yup, but I've left. |
Hehe, Scout's honour. I watched the thing. It was like they were all in a hoop about the magnificent special effects. Not bad by Nigerian standards. At least they put more than their usual efforts into the film. They actually researched a lot of things. I didn't seek the film out though. I met it on at a friend's house and I am way to polite than to say please turn it off before I die. I thought the Oya chic was really Yorubaish. ![]() |
Huh? @Kay. I agree with everything you said. Weird, lol. @Blaze. You'll get over it. It's better not to have ever tasted than to lose that which you had. You'll be stronger either way. Asides from this little advice, I hope you drown in a river and get eaten by a croc |

Lucky for me, I got to see Sango. Talk about huffing and puffing. I won't go out of my way to see G.I. Joe but I'm sure it's just a matter of time. Thanks for taking a bullet for the club, JeSoul. You're one brave amazon |
Ah JeSoul. You're so cute right now. I think what you're missing is an animal totem. You have no wild side. No vicious latent core. Maybe just a righteous anger every now and then but no beast that you have to quell with occasional bits of Tarantino like gore. You should go to Nepal and climb those Tibetan mountains, mingle with those Tibetan people. I like/hate that game. Some things will be shocking. Other things will not be. Here's a confession: I'm scared of going blind more than any other thing. If I ever go blind, it'll be a matter of time before I off myself. Have you guys seen the second installment of Twilight? Jeez, they just made a fan out of me. Screw vampires, those werewolves are awesome. Sorry iice. This totally placates me. I thought the first film was so so. Now I think they were just setting the scene. Something tells me there'll be about five Twilight films and they will make a star out of that girl called Bella. Don't know her real name. Another confession: I love the way Jennifer Conolly walks, talks and looks. |
This room is hollow. Di Capuccino. De Caffeinated. De Capitated. I forget from what his mum changed his name. It just occured to me that Scorsese worked with him twice and both films made Oscar buzz. It's just a matter of time for Leo. Few actors are as consistent as he is. I have yet to see a bad movie with him in it let alone a bad performance from him. Been a lil busy so haven't seen much. Earlier I saw 'The Other Boleyn Girl', 'Being Julia' and the utterly distasteful 'Crank 2'. I'll be doing some research of the first one to see how accurate it is. The Other Boleyn Girl and Being Julia had phenomenal female performances all around. I just love British actors. I think they're the best. Natalie Portman has something otherworldly in her. It's sometimes unsettling. Like she's pretending to be acting, but really is just be-ing. |
Woman. Woman. Woman. No woman no cry |
Hehe, Kunmi! Naughty boy! Jeff, I haven't seen G.I.Joe yet. Maybe JeSoul has. I dunno if I'll enjoy the story behind that Surrogates film but I love Willis. Who's making the film? |

Lol. Jay Leno and Chris Rock will take a swing at the Pope to make people laugh. Let alone Roman. I was kinda hoping we wouldn't talk about him. I think it was a mistake but considering that the person he 'raped' was so young, I can see why he wouldn't be easily forgiven. Penitence can never substitute punishment for the hurt party usually gets satisfaction from retribution more than the remorse of the guilty. I think he should go to jail, to set a precedent, if for nothing else. It's not up to the courts to have mercy in my opinion. I like Roman the film maker, but I no longer know about Roman the man. Lol |
Lol. That's very right. But there's Boondocks, Southpark, and most of the adultswim stuff na |
Samurai X is my favorite Anime. Naruto is a close second. I have sixty odd episodes. Equivalent to four seasons. If you're gonna give anyone, it should be free. Besides you can find pirated copies everywhere. Bounce jo |
You've never heard of 12 monkeys? Thank God for the modify button. Modify that thing and quickly go see the movie and then say you've forgotten what it's about. After you do that, I'll modify this post and no one will ever know. I no hear of Surrogates. I hope it's something more than it sounds like. |
Your nuts, SPIKY? @iice, I meant Silent Hill is a good film, but most people won't wanna see it again. I think so sha. @ Max, Yeah, I even met a girl who absolutely believes that NO man can keep it in his pants and she's looking to marry a man who would 'respect' her by being discreet. Only this morning, my mum was telling me of her friend who was in a similar situation and she had to live with it cuz she only birthed one girl. When I hear of things like these my blood boils. I feel like being married to every woman that thinks like for a year to prove that some men can be faithful but I only need remember that such men are indeed so scarce that statistically, the most cynical of women aren't far from the truth. iice is in a separate class of her own. Most rules don't apply to her Ok, let's talk movies ![]() |
Ewwww. I didn't know that. What's the point of being married? Procreation? I wish they wouldn't set such a precedent. Some people think if popular people whom they like do something questionable, that makes it ok. They should just live together and be free instead of making sound like a sanctimonious bastard. |
@iice. Lol @ Hancock 2. That makes three films with Will flexing his muscles. No sequel can save that movie. About Silent Hill. My categories don't mean good movies and bad movies though it comes close. It meant blockbusters and not blockbusters. Some very good movies make no money. First movie that comes to my mind is Francis Ford Coppola's Tetro. Many people don't even know such a film exists. And some very bad movies make money. |

Lol. I just knew you would mention Sophie when I cast my eyes on Aeon Flux. About the film, the trailer was better than the film and Charlize looks good in tights. Why do you think Will's marriage is weird? |
The film you guys are talking about reminds me of one where a group of friends go into the woods to party and they get stuck there cuz some disheveled froth-ridden lunatic bashed their car. One of them got infected with whatever the guy had and you know how these kinda stories go. Now about that list, JS. Some of them make sense from a financial point of view but I wouldn't want to them to see the light of day. Some of them will be attempts at redeeming previous mistakes. Some of them, I'm delighted to see but can't fathom how they're gonna do a plausible continuity. If I, Robot 2 can be as awesome as the first one, I'll be checking it out. I just don't know how they hope to swing it. It pretty much looks like case closed to me. Ditto for I Am Legend. The films that make the most sense are Shrek 5, The Untouchables, Toy Story 3, The Brazilian Job, National Treasure 3. These ones will make money even if they're flops. Jeepers Creepers, Cars 2, Silent Hill 2, Ghost Rider 2, The Descent 2 and some others had better be contenders for best trailer of the year awards. As for the ones I didn't mention, I think they like wildcards. Anything can happen. There're a lot of dumb burger-eating Beavis and Butthead types in America after all |

Nice. Why didn't y'all just shoot the annoying umpire? Ariblaze you're right. Goat doesn't come close to begin to define me. |
@Max. Voight is always good na. Asides him, my favorite character is the Anaconda. My favorite part was when this dude jumped off a waterfall thinking anything must be better than getting swallowed and slowly digested by a huge serpent. But the huge serpent had other ideas as it lunged after it's meal like a catapult catching the poor dude in midair. The film is so old I didn't even know Owen was in it (cuz he was new to me) iice, you bad o. Suggesting the Orchid thing is like suggesting the second Dusk till Dawn film to someone who saw the first one. So, Max, for the sake of your Tv, do not seek out that second Anaconda movie |

'Someone from my office'. Then 'us' and 'we'. How come? Feeling funky, eh, outlaw? |
That's why we should all read books man. My favorite genres are espionage and historical mysteries. Only Le Carre writes stuff that's absolutely believable. Maybe Forsyth, Ludlum (on rare occasions) and Archer too. Wow, JeSoul, DNA sequencing. I've always been interesting in that. And thanks for the high praise o. Feel like an impostor. I'm an amateur at the very best, lol. Read Bourne Identity at least. Everyone that hasn't should too. I laughed at least three times reading your exchanges. |
I can believe you've not read an Adichie book. Very much. I'll be sure to look for that The Man Died. For your sake and mine. The Famished Road too. I think Ben Okri secured the record for youngest to win the Booker prize. I'm not sure but I definitely saw him in the 2009 Guinness book. I think Gamine reads Kazuo Ishiguro. I haven't had the pleasure yet. I think we might have seen the same interview with the Iweala dude. Yeah, he's really nice to be around and I suspect we'll be hearing more from him. I read Stephen Kings Wastelands like 4 years ago. I think that's book 3 of the series. I won't read any until I can be guaranteed of reading them serially. I still remember the conscious train. Tick tock man. Etc.Hehe. Me and you do not follow series anymore. I'm sure it's for different reasons but I also do stretches. I've not been watching much these days but I'm trying to finish Boston Legal. I catch Kyle XY and The Mentalist occasionally. I happen to always get a dose of one episode of one of NCIS, CSI or Law & Order SVU. All other shows I watch only cuz they happen to be showing at the time. I think I've finished all there is of House. Heroes started to bore me. Trying to make myself like Six Feet Under. In short, there's no order to how I do series. Oh, I intentionally steer clear of some of them lest I end up liking them. Sex and the City, Desperate Housewives, One Three Hill etc. Do you follow a pattern? |
