I've seen these films over the week(s): G.I.Joe Ice Age 3 G-Force Schindler's List August Rush Star Trek The Soloist District 9 Mr Smith Goes To Washington Terminator: Salvation The Knowing It's a Wonderful Life State of Play Race to Witch Mountain I've already seen some of these films. In some cases I just wanted to clarify some stuff or renew my memory. I'll be watching Seven Samurai soon. It's an oldie by the way. And to break the tie, I nominate Eagle Eye |
When you don't know which way to go and staying put is not an option. What question do you even ask then? Answer without being paradoxical |
My status: trying to hit a flying bullet with a smaller bullet while I'm blindfolded and riding a wild horse |
@Beaf. Don't be discouraged by nincompoops who only believe what they want to hear or what is sensational enough. All frauds have one thing in common. Someone or some people will benefit at the expense of someone else or some other people. Reconcile this with climate change being a fraud if you can. Even without the apparent evidence that supports climate change it makes sense theoretically. O3, or Ozone is highly unstable. The layer of it is very thin and doesn't build up nearly as fast as it's been depleted. And we're the reason why it's depleting. The polar regions will become tropical some day but you won't be here to suffer the consequences. Your descendants will. But I guess you could care less |
I don't it's compulsory to post on any front page thread. @Spike, I had no idea. Happy birthday, sweetie. Belated. |
I can do better than a sentence. I can use a word Gone |
Aww man, I really don't wanna hurt ya but I will. I just had a whiff of Amon Goethe and I'm inspired. If you press it I'll make tooth fairies visit you in multiples of thirty-two Make that thirty for your teeth can not be possibly complete I'm really depressed and I'm not sure you'd give me satisfaction You're so easy it's like I'm picking on you I want something that'll fight back, like Medusa, like a deranged Rottweiler looking to pass on his rabies Yeah. That'll appeal to my viking blood I'm filled with exhausting apathy I look at you and you think I'm looking at you I am looking at you but I'm not seeing you I don't care. I don't care about whether I care. I don't care about whether I care that I care, This thread seems to have been banned as a whole. Couldn't find it anywhere; I had to dig up my posts. Doesn't the Sumbitch Ever Unleash Nothing original? Ban this, ban that! Banned folks re-register and you proudly display "415985 members and 284840 topics. Latest banned but re-registered member: Sisi_Kill/Vesc/Ariblaze etc" I'm not in a good mood at all. Haven't been in one in days. No one, not even you, stupid enough to read this far should rattle my tail, pull at my horns or taunt me to pull the trigger. I would kill you and kill your worst enemy to accompany you across Styx. You'd be in hell, in hell. I won't kill myself in remorse cuz I be naija boy and I think I have ranted. Pheew, feel better. But only just. |
I won't let my happiness be dependant on how much I make other people happy, oh, I just can't do it. |
A nice guy is the guy every girl wants to marry none wants to date. Nice guys get the rough end most of the time but they don't mind since they're nice. I say every person should date his or her own kind. |
There goes our underdog. He's now underdogshake. I'll pass. Ask Sisi. |
Na wa o |
My brother's status: remember that you are unique, like everybody else. |
Yo, Max. What inspired all this? Are there two Goldie Hawns? That Goldie doesn't look like the one I know from, say, 'First Wives Club' and 'Out of Towners'. Abi what gives? Mel is an awesome professional but an annoying hillbilly in real life. I'm just thinking of the film 'Ransom'. The poor kidnapper would've had a hell of problem deciding which kid to nap. And ol croc dundee Mel would probably respond to the kidnapper's call 'why, thanks, mate. Ya can keep 'im. He eats way too much gravy. Good luck feedin' his fat ass'. I like Russell Crowe more and I hope to God he doesn't turn out similarly. Personally, aside from the marriages of convenience, I don't think Hollywood couples/marriages are any different from normal American couples/marriages |
Jenifa. I've heard a lot about this film but I don't think I'll be seeing it anymore. I'm gonna go plug my butt and go into semi hibernation and watch all the movies I've missed till my eyes fall out. |
Don't forget the prefix. Also, it doesn't really have to be your current status. |
And with much sadistic glee, I offer to translate the gospel according to Sisi written solely for you, our esteemed prey. Your (lightwalk) laughter makes my (Sisi) laughter laugh. I think you just got served |
Me? Kneel? I'll probably be on my knees while examining the massive exit wound that used to be your skull and inquiring as to how Sisi intends to make oblongata cocktail from the dripping turd-like goo soiling her expensive carpet. |
My status: If you're going around in circles, you're probably cutting corners. |
Trust me, I can get it up thru other means. Will you drop your status or you want me to drop it for you? My status: I'm trying not to give a damn but it's infinitely easier to fall in love than to climb out of it. |

Go easy on him? I haven't even brushed past him yet! I haven't even made eye contact with him yet! He hasn't even caught my attention here. Screw dogs eating dogs. Here we eat each other. Get on the program, runt. You'd do well not to take anything personal. Ok, there's your matriculation. Now, I hope you fall off a cliff and spray your gray matter over a poor fisherman's day's catch. :-) |
My status; it usually follows that you believe a thing when the alternative is unbelievable. |
Ah! I have been misleading. I didn't see New Moon o. I only saw the tr |
It's as simple as it sounds. Whatever your last facebook update is, post it here. You may post a different thing. When posting an update, start with the prefix: my status |
Bounce! Lightly so you don't become a carcass real quick in here. I can control myself but Blaze, Kay and certainly that woman called Sisikill can't. Hi, Blue. You might be back for real eh? If you and Sisi can stay, I'd stay. Here alone with Blaze and Kay gives me night terrors. |
In case you're wondering how I managed to post stuff seconds from each other, let's just say thank God for the modify button. My browser pisses me off. I wanted to suggest Jk that you use the awesome power of the modify button to post the films we've reviewed so far and their ratings on the first post of the thread. What do you think? |
If we haven't done Transformers 2 or even the first one, let's review them. Then when more people have seen Inglorious Basterds than not, we can do that too. I haven't seen it yet though. Not sure I will soon. Oh boy. |
Tpia, I don't think river Niger even got to Osun. I'm not sure though. I just wanted to say while we're on the topic that we have some pretty good actors. What we lack is good directing, story, research, casting, in short pretty much everything else. |
Forgot to mention that the woman Max was talking about is European. Her name's Susan Wenger. She's recently deceased and I saw a documentary on her. Fascinating woman. She lived in or close to the Osun shrine called something grove. In it are some magnificent carvings that I hope to God I don't find in a Smithsonian museum later o. I hope the place gets due recognition. For those who'll notice: isn't it weird? Wenger. Ashburton grove. Funny coincidence. |
I've been travelling. Thus my absence. Ah, Kunmi, I didn't actually mean for us to review Sango. I was so little when I saw it I can barely remember anything. I remember seeing its making. That impressed me. The making of a Nigerian film. Awesome. Sauron's take refreshed my memory. I remember one short stud-like axe that can breed bats in legion. The fire breathing Sango dude with his braided hair who is always hyperventilating. The mutant Oya chic with some invisible goat skin cloak. Warring tribes. Jealous wives. I think I remember more than I first thought. Considering the technology at the time and Nigerian attitude and commitment to good cinema, I'll rate it 90%. Well done. When you guys distinguish between yoruba and english, you do mean the language that's spoken, right? Cuz I was never aware of any yoruba Sango. And for the record, Mainframe films are all that. I'm proud of them. If there's anything like queen's yoruba, Now on to more serious matters. JeSoul. I wish you would not be so honest. You don't even have to lie. You may just omit or conveniently forget. Please tell me you've read The Godfather. On second thought, don't. We love you so much sis but this is tough love. Even Max got a collection of 50 films you must watch before you die. I'm sure she's seen most already but she probably would see some again to refresh her memory or simply cuz Fight Club is Fight Club. Take a cue na, JeSoul moi. I'll bet my weenie that The Godfather is in the collection. Hell, probably the first film sef |
Awww. Look how Max and Texazzpete kissed and made up. If only half of nairalanders can be this sensible. Isn't this thread like the oldest thing though? |
