That was awesome, JeSoul. You've made my head swell and lest I hemorrhage, I need to undo a wrong: You left yourself out, JeSoul. Here, lemme fix that.

Whoever dubbed her with such aptitude. JeSoul. JeSoul. Soulful and subtle. Calm, cool, collected and composed. Moral compass of this here crazy thread. A blazing beacon just far enough to be within reach and close enough to be worth the quest. Even anathema like Norbit dent her not (too much). A paradigm of the difference between wisdom and knowledge; firm and in-your-face. E don do? I don't want to give you a dose of your own medicine.

Lol, thanks aplenty, Max. It didn't cross my mind. Spike, thanks girl and here's to your sister.

Seems like it is finished. And nicely so. I feel like a part of the production process.

Oh, I forgot JeSoul. I'm appalled at the adulteration you said was done to the Sherlock Holmes character. I mean, if there's any character that's eternal and classic, it's that of Holmes. Some adaptations need to be left as is. That's why I stick to classic films. I mean classic with respect to age. I used to watch a series adaptation of Agatha Christie's Detective Poirot and I thought it was pretty good. But that's because it was made a long time ago. Same can be said of many many adaptation made prior to, at most, the 90s. Now, the clamour for big guns and fast cars and faster women has overshadowed any real art. I'm not exactly against any of these things but let the new age look for their own ideas without overdoing it like in the delectable G.I.Joe.

See me going on and boring everybody. I think I've made a point. There should be a revolution for keeping it real.

Sorry JeSoul. I'll try to pay more attention. I dunno how this will come out but I was thinking, hey, if something happens to Spike Lee, there's this dude called Gary Gray or something to keep the black folks feeling 'not left out'. I'm disappointed to find that he (or his film) sucks. And just when I was beginning to have time for Jamie. Nothing do Butler though. I just love his aura. It must have been my mistake, I'd have sworn Cloudy with a chance of meatballs was in 3D. Anybody seen Toy Story yet? I think that one is in 3D. Nice take on Cameron, Max. I'm so proud of him.

Eh? Do you really wish that Sisi? You're gonna make me all bleary teary eyed. It's funny how 3 of you guys think it's something romantic. It isn't exactly so. I get you Sisi. I'm owning my anger (it's more dismay and disappointment and disenchantment and disillusion than anything else but I'll run with anger) but the problem is I have no right to express it to the person in question. It'll be like throwing the baby away with the bad water. I don't wanna risk a symbiosis cuz I have issues. Hell, my issues have got issues.

Holiday season, yay! Season greetings to all.

Hmmm. I thought Law Abiding Citizen would be good. Lucky I didn't see it. As for Avatar, I don't even wanna jinx my experience. Finally Max is a 3D convert. I was also misled before about the airbender thingie, till I remembered Avatar is a word of aztec origin. I think. Even Yahoo! uses it in its messenger service. Without seeing Avatar yet, it has already secured a top spot in my hall of fame. I've not seen IB yet either. I've not seen many many films yet. Only saw Half Blood Prince and a profoundly engaging oldie, The Mob. I was disappointed not to encounter Lord Voldemort even once. Well, asides from the young and intense Tom Riddle who reminds me of a certain young Orochimaru. I love December films sha.

iice, wherever you are, the wait for Avatar was justified eh? Now let's see what Matarese Circle will spring forth.

House, even though I might get replies too late and it might not matter anymore by then I'd like to know your thoghts on this question: How do you deal with someone you're really pissed off with even though you have no real right to be so pissed off and you're pissed off only cuz you like the person to begin with. i.e. if you didn't give a damn about the person, the same action (or inaction) would not have come to your notice in the least.

Lol. I too much of nothing to say about that. Literally.

Sandra Oh is so aloof it turns you on. Probably high school made her tough. On account of her name that is.

Literature › Re: Where Can I Buy Lost Symbol By Dan Brown? by vescucci(m): 10:16pm On Nov 01, 2009
Books come out in hard cover for about a year before paperback editions. The hardcovers are like collector items and are for real fans. It's just like with movies. Hardcover = Cinema. Paperback = DVDs. Pdf = Bootleg. If you have read Brown's previous books, I wouldn't say this one tops any one except maybe Deception Point. Some things in it are fascinating but not that new and his writing was shoddy and amateur if you ask me. Unnecessary suspence like in Prison Break.

Politics › Re: Is Climate Change For Real Or A Fraud? by vescucci(m): 2:42pm On Oct 29, 2009
This thread is quite funny. What struck me is some people citing the fact that the ice age happened and the dinosaurs' extinction as refutation of the reality of climate change. And that our activities were not enough to stall or bring about the ice age or whatever. To these people, I will like to make some submissions and pose these questions.

First off, nobody ever said climate change was THAT dramatic. It is a real fear but not imminent.

Why do you distrust the same people who scream global warning but swallow their theories on the ice age, especially when they use the same empirical methods? Abi did you witness the ice age?

And this ice age. It gives the impression of an era. Maybe rightly so but I wonder if you can tell me what age there was before the ice age?

Someone said the global warning thing is intended to stifle the industrial growth of third world countries. Wtf? Have you ever heard of outsourcing? How many of the 'targeted' companies are owned by the third world people or their government. Pull your head out of your butt.

I've often wondered why there're billboards all over the place screaming AIDS is REAL. Now I know. Some people, and not just illiterates, still believe it's a hoax. A hoax to achieve what? The pope or Osama wants the world to have less sex? Please
