Nairaland / General / Pdp Crisis: Kashamu Faults Makarfi’s Call For Defection by Vibrant007(m): 10:21pm On May 17, 2017
A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the lawmaker representing Ogun East Senatorial District at the National Assembly, Senator Buruji Kashamu has condemned the sacked Senator Ahmed Makarfi-led National Caretaker Committee over its call on party members to defect to other parties.

In a statement he issued today (Wednesday) in Abuja, Kashamu said such a statement amounted to anti-party activities and urged party faithful to ignore it.

The statement reads, “I read with utter disbelief the statement credited to the sacked self-styled National Caretaker Committee of our party that our members should seek alternative platforms to seek elections as a result of the pending appeal at the Supreme Court.  Such a statement is not well-thought out, self-serving and antithetical to the principles of party politics and internal democracy.

“The contradiction lies in the fact that the same people who have gleefully disobeyed valid and subsisting orders and judgments of courts are hoping that the Supreme Court will turn its eye to their defiant disobedience of court orders and judgments and award them victory. Their latest position has shown that they do not believe in the strength of their case or they were merely hell-bent on hijacking the structure of the party or destroy it all together, or both.

“While it is true that a political party is an organization made up of people who voluntarily joined and could voluntarily exit, that a call to decimate the PDP could come from those who seek to lead it leaves much to be desired. It is most reprehensible when it is realized that the call is coming from those who had benefitted so much from the PDP as governors, ministers and lawmakers.

“I dare say that their posture has not only shown their state of mind but it has also exposed them for who they are. It has shown that contrary to their claims, Senator Makarfi and his co-travellers never really had the interest of the PDP at heart. They have not conducted themselves as true party men. If they were true party men, they would never seek to throw away the baby with the bath water.

“There is no perfect relationship or organization anywhere. People, especially politicians, are bound to agree and disagree. We disagree, negotiate and build consensus. You do not say because you did not have your way in the struggle for the control of the party structure, and then the party must be destroyed. We are all members of the same body – the PDP – and there can only be one National Chairman and National Working Committee (NWC) at a time.

“It is irrelevant whether it is Senator Sheriff or Senator Makarfi that is in charge of the party at the moment. Now that the Court of Appeal has pronounced Senator Sheriff as the authentic National Chairman of our party, the most important thing is who emerges as the National Chairman, going forward and the process leading thereto.

“However, there are many other positions that the party can offer deserving members and leaders. For instance, one cannot be a senator and governor, minister or President at the same time. It is the PDP leaders in our various state chapters and local government areas that decide who gets nominated for chairmanship and councillorship positions in our localities. No PDP leader will sit in Abuja to do that; and no one should seek to propagate a winner-take-all situation.”

Kashamu said he was surprised at the Makarfi group’s call, wondering what would happen if it wins at the apex court.

“As a true party man, I have consistently stated that I am for Senator Ali Modu Sheriff as much as I am for Senator Ahmed Makarfi. They are both our leaders who have paid their dues in politics, public and party administration. Whoever wins the ongoing leadership tussle should be accepted by all and sundry. Today, the courts have looked at the issues and pronounced Senator Sheriff as our National Chairman. Since the judgment of the Court of Appeal, many of the PDP governors and their followers who were in support of the sacked National Caretaker Committee have since retraced their steps. Senator Makarfi and the recalcitrant few should respect the court from which they seek respite and accept the status quo. If tomorrow, Senator Makarfi wins the appeal at the Supreme Court, so be it. No one can ask me to leave the PDP or ‘seek alternative platforms’ just because the table has turned,” he added.

Kashamu therefore urged party faithful to discountenance the Senator Makarfi group’s call to defect and support the Senator Sheriff-led national leadership of the party towards fielding viable candidates for the PDP in the various local government elections and other round of elections.

He advised party members to actively participate in all the processes leading to the organization of an all-embracing national convention (once the case at the Supreme Court is done with) where all the interests of the contending groups will be accommodated.
Nairaland / General / Naps Demands The Immediate Removal Of Rector Over Seun Akinyemi's Death by Vibrant007(m): 10:42pm On Apr 24, 2017
SIX FEET OF EARTH MAKES US ALL EQUAL, NAPS MOURNS THE DEATH OF SEUN AKINYEMI, A. K. A SEUN PLUS

The National Association of Polytechnic Students (NAPS) through its media director, Comrade Sobowale Olayinka, received with a shocking grief, the death of Comrade Seun Akinyemi, a student of Gateway Polytechnic, Sapaade.

The young activist, who was until his death, the NANS Ogun JCC Diretor of Mobilisation, reportedly died of typhoid after the school clinic staffs, out of their own lackadaisical attitude and negligence of duty were unable to carefully the brief illness which eventually led to the young man's death.

The NAPS VP External affairs, Comrade Olasunkanmi Ijaduoye while speaking stated in clear terms the damage caused to unionism as Seun Akinyemi passes on. "The Management of Gateway Polytechnic should be subjected to immediate sanction on the death of Seun Plus. He has since complained of his ill health to the School Clinic staffs but was not properly attended to until it claimed his life, we urge to Ogun State Government to sanction and if possible, remove the Rector of the Polytechnic because of his managerial ineptitude which has led to the demise of one of the promising youths Ogun State and Nigeria could boast of", Comrade Sunkanmi Ijaduoye said.

Finally, the NAPS Executives consoles with the family of the deceased and prays God grants them the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.

Nairaland / General / NAPS Kicks Against Corrupt Rectors by Vibrant007(m): 7:09am On Apr 01, 2017
Success is no accident. It is hard work, perseverance, learning, studying, sacrifice and most of all, love of what you are doing or learning to do.

The National Association of Polytechnic Students under the able coordination of Comrade Gbenga Adeyeye through the office of the NAPS VP External Affairs, Comrade Ijaduoye Olasunkanmi Adetoye wishes all Nigerian students home and abroad a happy new month.

Patience, persistence and perspiration make an unbeatable combination for success. As this new month of April 2017 begins, here are our wishes for you:
May this month bring you satisfaction, peace and joy.
May all the desires of your heart be granted.
May this be the beginning of new things in your life.
Stay strong, be positive and fulfill your dreams

“They always say time changes things, but you actually have to change them yourself.” It is therefore pertinent for us to address some ill manners and attitudes in Nigerian Institution of today especially the polytechnics which some Rectors had nearly drowned it's glowing image.

It is pathetic that Nigerian students had been unconsciously put to severe punishment. Their rights had been infringed upon and they loudly cried out help to the necessary quarters. “Though no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.”

The National Association of Polytechnic Student therefore airs out a strict warning to Rectors who had for their own benefit received school fees and JAMB regularisation twice from students. Thieves may lay siege for donkey years but the owner catches up in a flash. The Association deeply frowns at this barbaric acts which is as a result of managerial inepitude and covetousness. We therefore advise all concerned rectors to desist from such acts now or receive a worldwide embsrrasment as we shall not hesitate to print their names out for the whole world to see. A word they say, is enough for the wise.

Once again, we wish you all a happy and successful new month.

Nairaland / General / NAPS Condemns The Incessant Attacks On Nigeria Students In China by Vibrant007(m): 9:56am On Mar 31, 2017
The National Association of Polytechnic Students in Nigeria has condemned the barbaric act of the Chinese in Noida, near Delhi.

The attack, from a reliable source was as a result of the death of a local teenager due to drug overdose which his parent claimed the Nigerian students were responsible for.

Five Nigerian students were attacked on Monday by crowds, while another was beaten by a mob inside a shopping mall. The NAPS in a swift response through its Media Director, Comrade Olayinka Sobowale condemned the attack and called on the Chinese Police to investigate the absurd act of their citizens.

According to the press release by NAPS, it likened the attack to the resurgent xenophobia attack in South Africa which it described as a result of racial discrimination. The association however called for strict legal actions on those involved. It reiterated that this can bring about a broken relationship between Nigeria.

A student in Noida, Alkahba Solomon had earlier told the BBC that the situation was not "favourable for Nigerian students". We hereby urge the Nigerian government under the leadership of President Buhari to see into this and render a helping hand to the Nigerian Students in China before the situation goes beyond culpable leNAPS

Nairaland / General / The Nigerian Police Force, How Fair Have You Been TO Us ? - Sobowale Olayinka by Vibrant007(m): 12:12pm On Feb 23, 2017
There is no doubt that right now the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) has become notoriously incompetent, professionally inefficient and the ranks and file have almost successfully turned the nation's policing institution into another failed national asset due largely to large scale and widespread cases of corruption among the top hierarchy and gross indiscipline among most operatives who interface on daily basis with the citizenry.

There is also no gainsaying the fact that in a situation of the total collapse of the nation's policing institution, the ordinary members of the public are the people who bear the brunt of this spectacular inefficiency and crass incompetence.
It was therefore in a bid to prevent this calamity that has now befallen the nation's police that the framers of the 1999 constitution (as amended) clearly provides for the establishment of a police force as enshrined in section 214(1).

The police Act, which is an Act to make provisions for the organization, discipline, powers and duties of the police, the special constabulary and the traffic wardens of April 1st 1943, some basic duties and powers were assigned to the Nigeria police force.
In part two of the police Act which specifically provides that the police shall be employed for among others, the prevention and detection of crime.

Article 10 of the police Act stated clearly that operational control of the police is with the President.
A careful analysis of the aforementioned duties, functions and powers of the Nigeria police Force shows that operatives of the policing institution ought to be at the forefront of providing efficient and effective internal security of lives and property of the citizenry.

But since 1999 when democracy was restored after nearly many decades of military interregnum, the performance of the Nigerian Police Force has been anything but effective or efficient and this professional incompetence and the near-infinite incapacity of operatives and officers of the Nigerian Police Force to effectively detect, prevent and deter crime and criminality has resulted in the unprecedented growth of organized crimes and other deadly manifestations of violence like terrorism leading to the unfortunate high rate of killings of innocent Nigerians by various armed non-state actors; gangsters; kidnappers and other cult groups.

The near-collapse of the Nigeria police Force and the total failure of the operatives and officers to discharge their most fundamental constitutional role of internal security has resulted in the unnecessary and widespread deployment of armed soldiers and other security operatives like the State Security Services (SSS) to feel in the void created by policing inefficiency of officers and operatives of the Nigerian police force.

Apart from widespread cases of violent crimes such as terrorism in the Northern Nigerian States of Yobe, Borno, Adamawa, Kano, Kaduna, Katsina, Plateau, and Bauchi states, armed kidnappers have continuously unleashed mayhem in Southern Nigeria resulting in the abduction for ransom of some high profile Nigerians such as the Lagos-based Senior Advocate of Nigeria Chief Mike Ozekhome and the second most senior clergy in the Nigerian Anglican Communion; Reverend Ignatius Kattey among several other Nigerians.

Both of these influential and peace loving Nigerians were picked up by kidnappers and detained in unknown places in Edo and Rivers states and were left off the hook by these armed kidnappers after nearly two weeks of abduction. In the case of Chief Ozekhome, he was only freed when undetermined huge amount of money was paid by his family members to these dare-devil kidnappers. The Anglican Clergyman said he was freed unconditionally.

In both of these high profile cases among many others, the Nigerian Police Force failed to discharge its statutory function of crime prevention and enforcement of law and order. As soon as Reverend Kattey was freed in Rivers State by his captors, the police command spokesperson in Port Harcourt falsely claimed that the police played a role in freeing the kidnapped religious leader but this blatant falsehood was debunked by the reverend gentleman.

Before returning to the fundamental cause of the gross inefficiency of the Nigeria Police Force and to advocate for the consolidation of the necessary legal framework to give Nigeria a professional policing institution, let us examine the basic reason why impunity has created an atmosphere of lawlessness in most parts of Nigeria.

Scholars say that the devaluation of the once traditional and cultural value system attached to the sacredness of human life in Nigeria and the blind pursuit for inordinate wealth at all cost are the underlying reasons for the high crime rate.

Few years back during the civilian government of President Olusegun Obasanjo, a special Envoy of the United Nations Secretary General on extra-legal executions Mr. Manfred Nowak visited Nigeria and after touring several police detention centers returned a damaging verdict that operatives of the Nigeria Police Force are guilty of routinely committing widespread extra-judicial killings of detainees even before any court of law makes any determination on the charges against them.

Recall that Section 36 (5) of the constitution provides that “Every person who is charged with a criminal offence shall be presumed to be innocent until he is proved guilty.”
Indiscipline has reached an all time high among members of the police Force to a point that operatives now bribe their way to choice places of posting just as those in a poor financial position to bribe are posted to violent flash points whereby the joint military task force are engaged in warfare with armed Islamic terrorists in the North East.
This high level of indiscipline coupled with professional incompetence and corruption especially among the top hierarchy has necessitated widespread advocacy for a comprehensive reforms of this currently deformed and inefficient Nigerian police force.

Which way Nigerians

Nairaland / General / SPBK : The Arrival Of A Political Giant by Vibrant007(m): 12:35pm On Feb 15, 2017
The game of Politics allows members of the public to watch the players closely with keen interest and subsequently form different opinions of them. Therefore, Politicians are either loved or loathed, respected or ridiculed, eulogised or feared by different sections of the community depending on how they are perceived.

Senator Buruji Kashamu's timely arrival is indeed a blessing for Nigerian politics and has brought about a shift away from the wrong tradition. While some selfish politicians are always at logger heads with him, most Nigerians never doubted SPBK's vision and sincere humanitarian decisions which is aimed at alleviating poverty and making life more meaningful for the people. He is no doubt, the quintessential political icon of superlative brilliance, merit and repute Nigerians had longed for.

With his unprecedented Philanthropic gestures, SPBK had successfully Changed the game for the better in SouthWest. His efforts towards a more United movement for the Yorubas can never be overemphasized, just as he consistently give honours to the worthy leaders across the six SouthWestern states. He is one man who doesn't mind stepping on toes to achieve better lives for the people.

Nairaland / General / Valentine Day : My Message For Nigerians - Sobowale Olayinka by Vibrant007(m): 9:09am On Feb 14, 2017
I am writing this because today is Valentine’s Day. They say it’s a day for love.
What is Love?
I know of only one “Love”, the Love Jesus (The Love Incarnate Himself taught the world). To love your God with everything in you. To love your neighbor as yourself.
I don’t need to explain further, but I will like to put down my understanding of what Jesus meant by “Neighbour”. Anybody that is close to you, in your vicinity or in your thoughts at a point in time is your neighbor at that time.

Now “Love”; Love is supposed to be that which is done ENTIRELY for the benefit of the other person. Love does not think about self, It is selfless. It is severe and It comes with Justice. Love DO NOT condone evil.
This few lines are meant to guide us if we truly want to celebrate the so called Valentine’s Day in The Light of God. It will NOT be a day to satisfy sexual urges, it will not be a day to satisfy material needs, it will not be a day to become an instrument that Lucifer uses to deem the Light on earth. It will be a day to Love all and spare non.

To the girls, to womanhood. I want to tell you that you are closer to God than the men. If you stand in this Creation according to the Will of your Creator, just a little, the earth will be a better place. A true girl or woman will not allow men to tarnish this day for her, she will not allow herself be instruments where sexual urges are quenched in exchange for little material things that won’t last. She will stand aright and multiply Love, The Love our Redeemer Jesus Christ came to anchor in the world!
Do not allow people to use clever words and cunning ways to make you think that what you initially thought and intuitively perceived in your spirit to be wrong is actually right. It is not right!

Your brain, your feelings, your instincts, your education can be wrong, but NEVER can your Spirit, your inner voice, your conscience be wrong.
Genuine Love is totally for the benefit of the receiver. When everyone is giving out genuine Love according to the Will of God, everyone receives in multiples what he/she gives out according to the law of sowing and reaping. No one lacks in Love.
Share genuine love to everyone in your vicinity and in your thoughts, to all your neighbours without expecting anything in return. For you shall in return, reap love in abundance.

It is no mistake that our Lord Jesus said, ‘man shall reap what he sow’. Imagine the return if you sow love in abundance today and forever!
Let your Love be genuine. Let your thoughts be pure, let the light in you shine bright. Let your spirit awaken. Multiply the genuine love in your heart, because it is there!
Let the earth come alive in the Will of The Creator, The One Holy God
Happy Valentine’s Day

Nairaland / General / Sobowale Olayinka : Fayose Needs To Be Educated by Vibrant007(m): 1:48am On Feb 11, 2017
n Nigeria politics, we term hooliganism as outspokenness. We have not still gotten the clear difference between Governance and Politics. The progress of Nigeria would continue to hit the rock if these two terms are not clearly differentiated. This is exactly what the distinguished Senator representing Ogun East Senatorial District, Senator Buruji Kashamu, clamours for.

For this reason, a lot of greedy and unexposed politicians had wrongfully condemned him. This did not come as a surprise anyway as there is room for criticism in politics but it should be done sensibly. A critic they say, is someone who knows the way but can't drive the car. A good example is the loose mouthed accidental Governor of Ekiti State, Peter Ayodele Fayose, who out of his forgetfulness did not remember the vital role SPBK played in realising his ambition to become a Governor. Let it be known reverberately that the arrival of SPBK in PDP is a blessing no man can curse, not even arrogant Governor.
He had recently resulted into blackmailing and sponsoring ill write ups against the Senator via his quack columnists. This would earn him no honour than the usual disgrace. Nigerians know who they want, the people knows where their heart belongs, to resort to pulling another man down in order to make way for one's self clearly shows the person has surrendered to superiority.

The loud mouth Governor is therefore warned to desist from arrogant and dictatorship acts as PDP is no man's property and subject himself to the party's constitution. He should stop constituting nuisance in order to earn himself popularity. If he has anything whatsoever against him, he should be brave enough to bring it to the open and not just perambulate a dark room.

Thieves may lay siege for donkey years but the owner catches up in a jiffy, SPBK has come to stay. If Fayose agrees, he can stay but if he doesn't, let him stay away !

Nairaland / General / I Did Not Apologise To Ogun Health Commissioner, Says Kashamu by Vibrant007(m): 5:10pm On Jan 11, 2017
I have read the account of the Ogun State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Babatunde Ipaye about the telephone conversation I had with him.
To my utmost surprise, Ipaye said I apologised to him for allegedly not following due process. Nothing could be farther from the truth. I did not apologise to him. Rather, after I engaged him on the phone, he was sober and apologised for not informing me before carrying out the demolition.
He appreciated the maturity I displayed by calling him and apologised for his action even though he claimed that the Minister of Health directed him to pull down the healthcare centre.
I called him because apart from being my younger brother from the same Ijebu Igbo community, Ipaye had been one of my doctors before he aspired for the House of Representatives and eventually appointed as Commissioner for Health by the present Ogun State government.
So, when I heard that Ipaye and the council boss, Bayo Adekoya led some thugs and mobile policemen, with sledge hammer and cudgels to demolish the Primary Healthcare Centre being renovated by my office as part of my constituency projects, I felt the need to call and hear him out.
When I asked him why they embarked on the demolition, he said the necessary approvals were not gotten before work commenced at the centre.
I told him that I am aware that before work began at the centre, the Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party in Ogun State, Engr. Adebayo Dayo and the contractors met severally with the Doctor who heads the healthcare centre, Dr. Adesanya Adeniyi. They agreed on what was to be done and how to go about it. He was the one who was monitoring the project and ensuring that it was according to specification.
Even if we were to assume without conceding that "due process" was not followed as claimed by Ipaye and the state government, was any contravention notice served on the contractors? No. Was there any complaint by the minders of the over 50-year-old healthcare centre? No. Was there any final notice served or put on the facility? No!
Despite the rabid criticisms from my political opponents and their hirelings, I am an advocate of politics without bitterness. I believe there is time for politics and governance.
That is why I am on record as having congratulated Governor Ibikunle Amosun when he won his election for a second term in 2015. I also urged the nine PDP lawmakers in the State House of Assembly to cooperate with the State Government in the overall interest of our people.
It was and still clear to me that if we continue to play politics with everything, all year round, our people will be at the receiving end of such acrimonious politics.
But it is obvious that while we mean well for our dear state and its people, the APC-led State government has other plans. That is why they chose to demolish a healthcare centre being fixed for the benefit of our people barely 48 hours after some members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) defected to the PDP in Ijebu Igbo - the same local government where they destroyed the healthcare centre. Who does not know it was the witch that killed the child if a witch cries at night and a child dies the next day?

Nairaland / General / Ipaye And His Continous Hindrance To The Progress Of Ijebu Igbo by Vibrant007(m): 5:21pm On Jan 10, 2017
Following the antecedents of Dr Babatunde Ipaye, a man who was not born with a silver spoon in his mouth, no one would have expected him to involve in such an inhuman act as that of today. His father, the Late Pa Ipaye returned to ijebu igbo in the early 80s after being unable to find greener pastures in his former place. He ventured into second hand clothes sales as a means of earning himself a living.

Dr Babatunde Ipaye who was a former staff of Dr Akindele the founder of Victory Specialist hospital in Ijebu Igbo, angrily resigned from work due to his arrogance and unrepentant attitude. He foolishly went ahead to establish his own local hospital at one Oke Agbo area of Ijebu Igbo, which did not even last long because of the high records of dead patients due to his incompetence. As if that wasn't enough, he later relocated to igbaire, Ijebu Igbo and named his hospital Idunnu Maternity Home, which is also now dead. What do you expect from a man who has been unlucky and unfortunate in his profession ?? Just as he was inaugurated as the Commissioner of health, he began to lock all mini maternity homes in the town except the ones belonging to his friends.

His hatred for Ijebu Igbo can be traced back to 2015 when he was in a very hot and bloody contest with Honourable Tokunbo Oshin for the ticket of Member, House of Representatives (Ijebu North, Ijebu East and Ogun waterside federal constituency), which he later preferably conceded to a man from Ijebu East instead of Hon Tokunbo Oshin, a man from Ijebu North, Ijebu Igbo to be precise. Today, he was at business as usual, hatred for ijebu igbo as he led a team of thugs to demolish Ijebu Igbo primary health care centre, which was under renovation by the Senator representing Ogun East Senatorial District, Senator Prince Buruji Kashamu on the ground that his ministry was not duly informed. I weep for my hometown ! Another hope dashed. This is the type of cruelty we have been going through since Ipaye became an accidental health commissioner in Ogun State.

Finally, just like I have advised him via my facebook page, he should thread softly and remember that political posts lasts for just a while. He should stop his incessant attack on Ijebu Igbo. Senator Prince Buruji Kashamu has come to save people of his hometown from the shackles of the oppressor, including Ipaye. I also use medium to appeal to SPBK, who was renovating the health centre as part of his constituency projects to leave Ipaye with his madness and see him as a mere attention seeker.

Good day my beloved readers and co scholars, I congratulate the immediate past exco of this great association led by Ogunbanjo Sankara for their agility, perseverance and nobility in ensuring that the annual MERMOSA celebration remains a successful one. I as well branch at the kingdom of politeness to pay due respect to all past Presidents of this noble association for their immense support in upholding the glowing image of the association. Come and gone is the annual 2016 MERMOSA get together party, but we must not forget the past, so as to construct a better future. The event was indeed glorious and entertaining which even outsiders present at the occasion testified to, but have we got it all right No ! There's a famous saying which goes thus "YOU MIGHT NOT KNOW YOUR ABILITY UNTIL YOU ARE ATTACHED TO A RESPONSIBILITY". On this platform, I boldly say we have a lot of race to run. We have achieved it, bringing students together every year, but that is not the only way to standardize this association. I strongly want to believe there is one aim or the other for founding this association and am not sure if it is just to party and drink every 26th of December. Let past and present excos brainstorm on what and what more to do or add. Fund raising, execution of physical projects for present students of our noble citadel of learning, MMS are few of what should be done in other to reinstate our firmness, unity and commitment.
This will spurn the interest of the founders in stretching out their helping hands when we need them most. Let's put the house in order first. I have been following the trend of things since the inception of this association and I can unequivocally say only 35% of faces who started with us are still very much on ground. Did we even bother to know why The secondary section of MMS was founded in the year 2000. Let's mathematically assume that 10 students graduate every year. The first set graduated in 2005/2006. Statistically, MMS have produced twelve solid SSCE graduates set. When you multiply 12 by 10, it gives 120. Do we have up to the above figure at each year get together ?? No !
Finally, the activities of this association should not be shouldered by the excos alone. The excos via their PRO should reach out to all necessary and interested persons so as to carry others along. Karin Kapo, yiye ni n ye ni. May the association continue to progress. We shall never witness setback or retrogression in Jesus Name !!

Investment / The Fear Of Women Is The Beginning Of Long Life... By Sobowale Olayinka by Vibrant007(m): 10:05pm On Dec 16, 2016
'Fear women'. This is a simple but serious warning we see written on cars and shops. We also hear it in our everyday talk. Those who adhere to this philosophy will tell you of stories they have heard, seen and experienced about how men have been destroyed by women.
But why should men fear women? A man has 40 per cent by weight of muscle but a woman has only 20 per cent. A man has more blood, more oxygen and more hormones to give him twice the brute strength of a woman.
Men, therefore, tragically think women are the weaker vessel. What they fail to appreciate is that in the weak vessel is a powerful anointing that a woman can use to still the strongest tsunami of a man to a whisper by simply raising one finger.
If a woman realises her power and decides to use it, she can own a man irrespective of who or what he is.
A woman's power over man dates back to Biblical days. Adam was crushed by Eve. Sampson, who was very powerful, surrendered to Delliah. David felled a nine-foot Golliath yet fell under the spell of Ballishe. Solomon, who ruled over the golden years of Israel, surrounded to women. Imagine a roll call of 700 wives and 300 concubines!
Why would a US governor destroy his political career and marriage by flying to Buenos Aires to see a woman he loved? Woman power. Why would the most powerful man on earth kneel before an intern to be intimate with her? Woman power. Why would an ex-President of Ghana give away golf cars for a few moments of fun? Woman power. And why would a professor leak exam papers to his lady student? Woman power. In our university days, we called it the 'v-plan'
The strategy
A man has great emotional fulfillment as he solves problems of a woman. A woman instinctively knows illusions are the most powerful weapons to track down a man. She, therefore, uses what she has to create illusions on his mind, especially the ones that bring sensation and the thrill of feeling loved.
She does this in simple ways like dressing to kill, walking provocatively, romantic acts, jerks, jokes and simple expressions to show they admire your presence and action.
This challenges you to act like a man. Unfortunately, at this moment the woman has used her power to move the man's brain from the head and relocated it between his legs. He is hypnotised.
In this condition, a man will do anything including risking anything to keep the illusions alive and the romantic sensation flowing. He acts in ways to obey, provide and protect the woman. Interestingly, studies show any woman pressing the right buttons at the right time can trap any man. Fear women!
To women
You have all the power to control men and the world. Without you, men have nothing and can do nothing. A man's dependency on a woman is rooted in a 'woman's complex' . This will stay as long as a man is born of a woman and to the end of the world.
You must, however, use your mantra judiciously to bring mutual fulfillment in your relationship. If you put the focus on yourself and selfishly abuse your power, you give your man an overdose and turn him into a 'toke' or living dead. He can no longer respond to your loving charm.
Your power is good. Men need it but without true love, your power will be dominated by fear. This is especially true of women who use all kinds of occults, threats and manipulations to control their men.
Men, fear women
Women have extraordinary power over men and can do almost anything they want with their men. Today studies show 95 per cent of all decisions of men are done under the influence of a woman.
It is also known that the major influx of information men receive about themselves come from women. Men have the power to do all the physical labour but women do the remote control.
Samuel Johnson, a psychologist, says nature has given women so much power that the law can only give them less. Women will always have power over men.
If you want all to go to well with you and live long, take this simple advice; 'Fear women'.

Nairaland / General / Activism: A Rough Path To Ideal Social Order By Sobowale Olayinka by Vibrant007(m): 10:48pm On Dec 15, 2016
Activism is not only a culture but a social engagement which requires dedication, commitment, courage and endurance. When a person chooses to toy the path, one must be prepared to take the risks associated with it.An activist commands respect,if he/she is seen to be a person of honour and integrity. But when activism is propelled by materialism, prejudice, pride, quest for vengeance and desire to exploit situations to ones advantage,it becomes invidious adventure.
When an activist allows personal idiosyncrasies to dictate the style and approach being adopted in any struggle,it portrays such a person as a mere charlatan.
However, without genuine activists, society will remain dull, stagnant, brutish and will be dominated by the oppressors.
For an activist to succeed,he/she needs experience, knowledge, security consciousness, reliable information sources, knowledge of intelligence gathering, good organisational skill and ability to articulate and sustain prolonged demands.
Over confidence and over zealousness are psychosocial tendencies that can predispose an activist to untimely death.
Every society needs dynamic, versatile and consistent activists to achieve greatness. Emergence of social media brand of activism is a welcome development but activists in this category needs to be conscious of limitations to freedom of expression and the risks involved in activism.
As long as the elite continue to oppress, exploit and deny the citizens their inalienable rights, activists would always have reasons to criticise, attack and speak against misuse of power by the ruling class.

Nairaland / General / Sunday Onabanjo Sobowale :The Sellable True Son Of Ijebu Igbo by Vibrant007(m): 10:01pm On Nov 24, 2016
My beloved indigenous citizens of Ijebu Igbo. I bring to u, warm greetings from our political chamber. Ijebu Igbo has been blessed with talented and resourceful leaders in the past, present and undoubtedly, future. I have personally taken my time to observe how events unfold and i would be right to say our people at the grassroot level are tirelessly working for the emergence of a candidate of their choice; but in the end, what they get is "zero".

Behold, i bring to you the man who knows what effective grassroot representative means, Sunday Onabanjo Sobowale. He has been a long time admirer of a political post in order to alleviate his people from the current " political loss" they are suffering. He is a visionary leader who is not just concerned about infrastructural development but even, the well being of the entire people of his hometown.

Have you ever wondered why we still lack effective grassroot representation in Ijebu Igbo ? The answer to that is not far fetched from the usual invasion of foreign politicians who sees politics as a means of alternative business to enrich their pockets. They don't know YOU, they know ME not! They romance and override our intentions with their money and later turn their back at us. They believe in using what they have to get what they want, no strings attached. They can even hardly mention the 36 states in Nigeria with their capitals because they spent most of their lives abroad. If we fold our arms and watch things go astray, the incoming generation will never forgive us.
You and I must agitate for true effective grassroot representation so that myself and yourself can benefit from the dividends of democracy. No man climbs the ladder of success with his two hands in his pockets. SOS we know. He has spent nearly his entire days in the town where he was born (ijebu igbo). He has been an active member of PDP from time immemorial as he once served as ward chairman of Oke Sopen and his records then are highly regarded. Ijebu Igbo will be great even now that we have the people's Senator,SPBK, he needs a dynamic and pragmatic leader like SOS to render helping hands and head to develop our highly favoured town. SOS 2019, a promise that must be fulfilled !! SOS i know, SOS i trust !!!

Ijebu Igbo is known to be one of the best states (if not the best state) in Nigeria to have produced dynamic, combatant, calculative and indefatigable politicians. Senator Lekan Mustapha, Senator Sefiu Adegbenga Kaka, Senator Biyi Durojaiye to mention but a few are all indigenous political gladiators from the favoured town. Today, we have the people's senator, Senator Prince Buruji Kashamu who has ventured into politics to safe his people from the hands of the oppressors. So many things have been said, so many points has been made, but above all, God has willingly ordained SPBK to drive Ijebu Igbo, Ogun state and South West in general to her destination.
A squirrel that would climb the plantain stem would have sharp paw nails. I have personally observed the activities of SPBK since he ventured into politics and I can authoritatively say he is the "Moses"liberate PDP from the "pharaos" who sees themselves as bad losers. The arrival of SPBK brought the departure of some greedy and self-centered politicians who wants to continue ruling Ogun State even after they had been woefully chased out of Oke Mosan in 2011. If a bird won't bother another, the sky is enough for them all to fly but this is not the case as they want to gallivant over everyone's right. What they claim today is that SPBK disrupted the peace in PDP by letting the people know they are all entitled to the national cake. What we get initially is promise before election and demise after election. A man left the party, on which platform he ruled Ogun state for eight solid years and even floated a party against his messiah party. After melon had been used to eat pounded yam, its peelings now became offensive. SPBK with his own hard earned resources, stood gallantly in the party to ensure it's survival. Even the dead souls knew without SPBK, PDP could have died and been buried. If what took laughter away from the crow had befallen the vulture, it'd have been stuck on its eggs. They enjoyed the gains but didn't realise the pains it took SPBK to place PDP upright. They were surprised, where is this man from The expiry date they gave him in politics has come and gone, yet, he kept waxing stronger every day. What SPBK stands for is the survival of democracy and the survival of democracy is a problem to the greedy politicians who only wants to take the gains of politics and government to themselves and their family alone. God didn't create the ant big; it would have been stinging people to death. Who destroyed PDP in Ogun state This is a question that has been begging for answer. How on earth can OGD claim SPBK destroyed PDP ?? What political power does SPBK possess in 2010 to destroy a great party like PDP ?? A family head in whose charge, the family collapsed or became desolated is to be blamed. One shouldn't enjoy the privileges of royalty and defecate on one's self. OGD ate his cake, can he ever have it back SPBK has come and has come to stay in PDP ! Let's all stretch our supportive hands to move PDP to a greater height. God has vindicated him, they tried before, during and even after 2015 elections but alas, evil befell evil for them. We are grateful to God who never made us (kashamites) a laughing stock for the enemies. With SPBK, PDP will surely be great again !!!!
