He doesn't care
Christianity EtcA Real God Won't Care About Worship by Vic2Ree(op):
Any entity powerful enough to be called a god would not care about being worshiped. Only petty, childish mentalities desire unquestioning obedience.

Earth and the human race are less than a microscopic speck compared to the vastness of the universe as revealed to us by science. If the universe was created by some intelligent being, we would be beneath its notice. To say that we are the centerpiece of its creation would be arrogance beyond measure.

It is incomprehensible that an omnipotent, omniscient supreme creator of the universe would want a race of infinitesimally insignificant slaves to lavish him with praise and adoration. To suggest that is to drag such a being down to human level and ascribe it with human attributes like ego and need.

It, however, is perfectly understandable and even predictable that the morally primitive, sexist and patriarchal people who lived thousands of years ago would invent such a god. Such a people did have petty desires borne from their harsh lives centered around survival, and would easily ascribe those same petty and egotistical desires to a god of their own making, believing (and to reaffirm to themselves) that such desires were universal and only natural.

Christianity EtcRe: Lucifer Is The Good Guy And God Is A Sociopath by Vic2Ree(op): 9:04pm On Jan 28, 2019
Thanks for not being salty and resorting to insults instead of offering rebuttals like some braindead losers here. Now let's continue
Myth121:
Your premise is false. Here is the basic toulmin set up for the argument:

Claim: God is the bad guy and lucifer is the good guy

Evidence: God banished people for doing things he already knew they were going to do

Warrant: punishing people for crimes you knew they were going to is immoral

Backing: huh?

Qualifiers: N/A

As you can see there is a missing backing to the warrant, this shuts down his claim and evidence.

Honestly think about it. If you know someone’s gonna rob a bank, you still wait for them to do it to punish them. Their warrant is severely lacking logical cohesion.
You have the warrant wrong. It should be: punishing people for crimes you designed them to do is immoral.

God created humans in such a way that they would sin, and he knew that when he created them. Alternatively, God created humans with free will, not knowing whether they would sin or not, in which case God is not omniscient.
Christianity EtcRe: Lucifer Is The Good Guy And God Is A Sociopath by Vic2Ree(op): 8:56pm On Jan 28, 2019
Myth121:
Unsurprisingly, this is pure garbage.
Can you explain why please?
Christianity EtcLucifer Is The Good Guy And God Is A Sociopath by Vic2Ree(op): 8:45pm On Jan 28, 2019
Before you come at me with the pitchforks, which i'm very sure you'll do... please hear me out for a second.....

As a premise we must bear in mind that God knows everything. And that God is the God of the bible.

- God creates Lucifer.
- God knows everything.
- God knows that Lucifer is going to want to dethrone him and he creates it anyway.
- God banishes him for doing something he already knew he was going to do.
Ok ... the thing looks bad but it gets worse.
- God creates man and woman.
- God puts a tree with the apple of knowledge.
- God tells them not to touch it, knowing that they will do the same, because God knows everything.
- Lucifer convinces them, because thanks to the apple they have the knowledge to know what is good and evil.
- Lucifer teaches humanity to distinguish, to understand what is wrong and what is right. And God forbade them that knowledge.

God banishes Adam and Eve for something he already knew would happen, and that is completely immoral: God wanted humanity to be amoral and stupid. Lucifer challenges God, and teaches humanity morality.

God does everything knowing that it is going to happen exactly. And then punish these beings. He is a complete sociopath.

Whereas Lucifer, risking everything, grants humanity knowledge. It gives them the ability to doubt, not to be idiots. Even knowing that God saw everything.

Christianity EtcRe: To Christians: The Christian Paradox by Vic2Ree(m): 11:27pm On Jan 27, 2019
Ihedinobi3:
LOL. Yeah, sure, kill your children when you have them.

I am guaranteeing to you that the Bible teaches that babies are automatically saved. No doubt of it. Now kill all your babies when you have them. I'd love to see how unselfish you are willing to be about this.
NnennaG6:
I'm not sure what you mean by this because this is a super loaded statement on what Christianity thinks is good. Are you saying that Christianity teaches that life on this earth is nothing and it's better just to not live and go to heaven?

Are you saying that the Christian ideal is (or should be) that all people should just kill babies from this point on till they themselves die so that humanity doesn't continue and we die out and all those murdered babies go to heaven?
Two of you need to calm down and reason. I am saying that guaranteeing someone a spot in heaven is paramount. The actual number of people I do not think matters so much; I argue that it's more about the success rate.
Christianity EtcRe: To Christians: The Christian Paradox by Vic2Ree(m): 11:01pm On Jan 27, 2019
NnennaG6:
Well, if you're going to address Christianity, then you'd have to address the fact that Christians believe that genuine faith alone in Jesus makes a person righteous (this may perhaps be the main/biggest point of the Christian faith). Maybe you have a totally different take on it than me, but I think Christians would rather try to get people to believe in Jesus to become "innocent" instead of, you know, killing a bunch of babies and other people.
But if they just try to convince people, then there is a chance that person will not believe in the end. By killing the baby, you guarantee them a spot in heaven; that's a 100% success rate.
Christianity EtcRe: The Point Of Life In Christianity Doesn't Make Sense by Vic2Ree(op): 11:34am On Jan 27, 2019
NnennaG6:
You're failing to hear me. The plain reality is that a single tweet from Jesus wouldn't increase the number of people being saved by even one. There's no point in rewriting my comment if you're going to fail to offer a rebuttal.
This is an unsubstantiated claim.

NnennaG6:
There's a difference between being incredibly effective, which Christianity certainly is, and being infinitely effective. Christianity is the most effective religion in history. The Bible is in more languages than any other document by a gigantic margin. It would take some sneering intellectual dishonesty to deny the effectivity of Christianity. Give us a few more decades and we'll continue taking over academia as well.
It's really not that effective. Furthermore, Islam is proving to be more effective if we are just talking numbers here. If Jesus was alive today he would have more effective ways to communicate than ancient times.

NnennaG6:
It would take very little thought to get to that conclusion. Someone who wouldn't accept Christianity if they heard about it is unlikely to choose the right morals on their own to begin with. The fat fallacy in your thinking is that going to heaven is a total coincidence of your social conditioning rather than your objective moral character.
Another unsubstantiated claim and false claims too. What are we deciding as right morals? What? I don't believe in objective morality.
Christianity EtcRe: The Point Of Life In Christianity Doesn't Make Sense by Vic2Ree(op): 11:10am On Jan 27, 2019
NnennaG6:
The point is to maximize the number of people going to heaven.
Okay you just proved my point. If Jesus Christ himself posted a tweet it would give solid reasoning at least to accept his existence and make it harder not to follow Christianity. A tweet can be read around the world, Christianity would not reach the "New World" until 1492.

NnennaG6:
Getting people saved is much more complicated than announcing the truth. Even Satan knows Jesus died for our sins.
A tweet from Jesus would do more than the Bible has the last 2,000 years. The truth is the most important part. It's why I'm an atheist.

NnennaG6:
It is a logical Christian proposition that the way God acted in history will maximize the number of people being saved in all possible universes.
If it's so effective then why did it leave out multiple continents?

NnennaG6:
It's actually the most efficient way, since there is no other possibiliy where more people are saved. Sharing the gospel with people is a good thing, since you simply make a wrong assumption -- the idea that if people don't hear the Gospel, they get an instantly free pass to heaven.
No it's not as stated above.

NnennaG6:
Wrong, God still judges them based off of their moral decisions in relation to the information they have.
Still sounds like an advantage to me. If I never heard of Christianity I would have that option available to me. But, because I reject Christianity from my experience with the religion and knowledge of the religion. I am damned to hell. So from my perspective it seems like they have an advantage over me.
Christianity EtcI'm An Atheist Who Loves Gospel Music. Do I Promote Un-reason? by Vic2Ree(op): 11:05am On Jan 27, 2019
I'm kind of an agnostic atheist in the sense that I don't believe there are no gods. I just can't see any evidence to believe so. However, I like listening to classic christian worship music (you know the Don Moens, the Michael W Smiths) once in a while. I find the lyrics cringe-worthy now because of my current views on religion but I still enjoy them once in a while. I don't know, is this hypocritical?

Christianity EtcRe: The Point Of Life In Christianity Doesn't Make Sense by Vic2Ree(op): 10:20am On Jan 27, 2019
NnennaG6:
1) The idea is that Christ comes at the appropriate time in history so that the maximum possible people freely accept it. This is certainly the Roman period, where the Roman Empire connected the entire Mediterranean and ideas and culture were flowing unlike any prior period in history.
If that is the qualifier then why not send Jesus now instead of the Roman times when with a simple tweet the world could know the actual existence of Jesus?

NnennaG6:
3) Obviously, people who haven't heard of Jesus can't fill the Christian purpose of creation ... but that's because they're not Christian. Nor are they required to if they haven't heard. The Bible is very clear people who haven't heard of the gospel are not judged for not knowing, so I see no problem.
Doesn't that make Christianity more dangerous to share with people? It creates an unfair advantage for those who never heard of Christianity. Second, why would your God even do it this way? It sounds completely inefficient.

Christianity EtcThe Point Of Life In Christianity Doesn't Make Sense by Vic2Ree(op): 9:13am On Jan 27, 2019
In Christianity, the meaning of life is rooted in faith in the gospel of Jesus Christ. However, the proposition is not without serious problems.

1. First, if this is the purpose of creation and the precondition for eternal life, why was it not taught by the prophets to all the nations of the world?

2. Second, had God turned into man close to the time of Adam all mankind would have had an equal chance to eternal life, unless those before the time of Jesus had another purpose for their existence!

3. Third, how can people today who have not heard of Jesus fulfill the Christian purpose of creation? Naturally, such a purpose is too narrow and goes against divine justice.

What do you think?

Xavier5:
In the aspect of TV Series, DC has a great influence and stand likewise Marvel.

In the aspect of Animation, DC is dominating.

In the aspect of Comics, DC is dominating. The highest sold comics last year was DC comics followed by Marvel.

In the aspect of Video Games, DC has a great influence and stand likewise Marvel.

In the aspect of Oscar Awards, DC is dominating in the superhero genre with 5 Oscar awards to their name unlike Marvel's 2.

In the aspect of character and universe build up, Marvel is dominating. Marvel have really build up their characters and universe unlike DC that is still struggling and clueless on what to do with their despite the heavyweight characters and universe they have.

In the aspect of Movies, Marvel is dominating, this is because they developed and built up their characters and universe earlier likewise starting up the MCU movies earlier unlike DC who where clueless and relented in building up their universe and characters likewise starting the DCEU late with not too solid plan on how to build it. Just take a look at the nonsense they did in Justice League. But thank GOD they got it right with Aquaman. I expect same for Shazam too.

In the aspect of Revenue, Marvel is dominating.

So the summary is this

Animation: DC.
Oscar Awards: DC.
Comics: DC.
TV series: Tie.
Video Games: Tie.
Character And Universe Build Up: Marvel
Movies: Marvel
Revenue: Marvel

So from the above data, DC is dominating in three aspects while Marvel dominates in three aspect while both tie in two categories.

Conclusions: Both are doing well in various categories, sections and aspects.

DC aren't losers as you stated except you were just trolling. As a matter of fact, DCEU has grossed over $4.7 Billion with just six movies unlike Marvel's $3.8 Billion for it's first Six movies. That's isn't something synonymous with Losers.

Cc MJBOLT, Philfearon, TheKingIsHere, Minemrys, XxSabrinaxX.

Please if you or anyone is going to reply me just for the sake of trolling and insult, dearies, I'm not gonna reply you or them because I can't be killing myself, bantering, ranging, tantruming and trolling over people that don't even know me or give a damn about my existence. Can you imagine, more than five thread page filled with trollings and insults. This thread was created for fans, critics and audiences to discuss about Marvel and not this embarrassment I'm seeing here. This thread has lost it's purpose, taste and originality.

Xavier Out.

#I'M_DCian.
Out of all the media you just mentioned, which one is the biggest and most accessible to the general public? Its certainly not comics. DC's animation's are direct to video, not released in cinemas. Sure they're popular, but they don't hold a candle to live action movies. The Marvel brand is more popular and valuable for one reason and one reason alone: Movies.
Until DC start getting their sh!t together in their live action films, they're always going to be second fiddle to Marvel. Besides, who buys comics manually outside of America? Most guys I know in Nigeria download their comics online.
