cute me:
I have a 6 months tourist visa and the main purpose was to attend my sister's graduation but right now,I cant attend the graduation because I have an exam on that day.I intend to travel a week after the graduation. Pls I want to know if i can still use the visa even though the graduation ceremony is over?

First, it's very important to know whether the visa carries a "Remark", and if it does, then, you are 99% likely to be refused entry.
But if it doesn't carry a "Remark", then, you have a chance to be allowed into the country provided you have other genuine reasons to claim as the reason(s) you're visiting the UK.
Now, to answer your question: YES, you can still use the visa, but yet, immigration officers reserve the rights to stop you if they feel that the purpose for which you were issued the visa is now deemed invalid. Just hope and pray for an officer who won't pay details to your reason for travelling. Good luck

Though it seems you were refused the visa for three reasons, but in reality, you were refused for a single reason and that is; your obligations to return to home country have not been deemed sufficient: so, the three reasons are sub reasons under obligations.
   Now, if you think you have the documents or other tangible evidence to convince them that you will be returning to Nigeria before your visa expires, then, you may proceed with the appeal, but if there is no further evidence available for presentation, then, neither appeal nor re-application will do you any better.

Though you said, "deep within me, i know that you can afford the trip", but however, such self confidence is not enough to see you through: and without documentary evidence to satisfying the Judge/visa officer that you can indeed afford the trip, you would not stand much of a chance even in the appeal as you do not have much of an argument regarding your financial capability. Financial aspect is a major and a very important part in visa application regardless of the category
Note: Avoid money lodgement or manipulating  with your bank statement as that would cost you more than mere visa refusal.

No matter how bad the reccession seems, there are still people who got achievements in it.
   I will not discourage people from coming to Europe as long as they have legitimate reasons to come, and even if the gravity of the recession is 10 times more, the UK will still be better than Nigeria in every regard.

I would have said it's silly taking such risk to get to a penurious country like Yemen, but then, the situations in Yemen are way better compared to the ones in most east African states especially as the travellers intend to migrate further west. Poor souls, it's somehow a shame to be an African. Imagine how embarrassing it is to watch such news in a public place with many white people indirectly looking at you with one eye and watching the TV with the other

I remember he made some attempts at some embassies then, but he wasn't successful, and he seemed to have given it up now: i really don't know much about his activities these days, we're not so fond of each other (he used to be my childhood friend, but we grew up and set apart) so, i've not really been in correspondence with him for some time now.
