Hello justwise, vicjustice and other gurus in the house. I'm going to apply for a visa in 7 months time, so this month I'll make a lodgement of about 1.5million (My monthly salary is actually 180k) and leave it there while my salary and expenditure continue as normal up to the point of visa application. Afterall they can't know since I'll be showing them 6 months only. What do you think?

Justwise, Vicjustice, worry359 and others. please I need your urgent attention. A very close person, like a bro to me got a Uk visitor visa last year, ddue to som financial circumstance, he couldnt leave until 4 months after the visa was issued, which was last night, he left on the basis of "permission to Leave" from office. He got there this morning around 7am but the problem; he is having some issues at the entry point.
He is currently being detained and questioned there as we speak and he isnt really allowed call home, just on occasional basis. We asked him the reason why they arent giving him the clearance and he doesn't understand why
He left with 580pounds as cash at hand, had a hotel reservation as well as his Office ID card.
Before he left, I asked why he didnt go with any of the documents he submitted to get his visa, he said someone told him it might implicate him. How true is this?
Also is the money he has on him too little to get him the entry clearance? What do you feel might be responsible for not granting him entry?
Is there anything he, anyone here or there can do to help him out?
Will really appreciate your urgent reply due to the fact that we feel he might be sent back to the country by tomorrow if norhing is done. Thank you.

Can one apply for a business visa (conference) and stay with family member in the uk during the period of stay (7days)
Conference venue is walking distance from Blood relative house.

Plus will one need documents from relative ( tenement agreement, bank statement etc ) like if applying for visiting??
The person concerned have travelled twice to visit Blood relative.

She is confuse if to stick to her business visa as conference is important or just apply for visiting and attend conference
But bear in mind company is involved in the conference .

@Juswise.. my sister is in the UK with her hubby. her hubby entered the UK with a student visa, and the wife joined him with a 6months visiting visa. but the problem is that her two children a boy and a girl was refused Visa to go with their mother. now my sister wants the two children to join she and hubby in the UK how will she go about it?

Note: my sister has been there for over a year now, while her children are with their grand parents.

There are hundreds of postgraduate scholarships (Masters and PhD) out there, if only you know where to look, and if you have the time and patience to sort through the rubble.

Don't always wait for the Government to do everything for you. Go out there and take charge of your life!

This is not true Vic, from personal experience, in as much as i spent a fortune doing my Masters, my PHD journey is based on availability of scholarships. A search on PHD positions will reveal to you that there are lot of funding out there. Note that most German universities have very low tuition. The Scandinavians Universities are also of low tuition.

SORRY ONE MORE QUESTION PLEASE WHAT EXACTLY DOES THE ENTRANCE OFFICER AT HEATHROW BECAUSE I CANCELLED MY HOTEL BOOKING AND BOOKED A SHARED ROOM FOR ANOTHER STUDENT IN UK. i mean i am renting a room from someone who lets out his rooms in ilford beside the training centre. sorry for the caps

I applied for a uk student visa last year, but was refused on d ground of not knowing enough about my school and not assigning my English test to d ukba

Now I have decided to study in Canada, but my major problem is, I have been refused visa to d uk once, which means my passport has been stamped at d back

There is a place on d Canadian student visa form dat states if one has been denied a visa or permit before... Will I fill yes there or simply put a no, knowing fully well a rejection stamp can be found at d back of my passport...

I want to invite my parents to uk during the summer,i was born here in 1981,dat was the only time my parents were here,on a study visa and they left after about 1yr, QUESTION-will they apply for 6months visit visa or 2yrs since they have been here before?
Then i live in a 2bed with my wife and child,is that enough accommodation for both of them?
They will be sponsoring themselves as they are doing well in nigeria,but i know i have to also show my employment status here,is 3months payslips/bank statement ok? Or do i need 6months payslips?(cant even find all).definately they will be submitting their 6months.

Hello everyone, I just got a 6 months visit visa and I initially planned on staying just a week at a hotel in London. Now I want to stay longer Like up to three weeks and I want to start with Manchester before going to London. ‎

Will this cause problems for me i.e be denied entry on suspicious grounds? Will it affect future applications if they check and see that I didnt follow what I wrote down on my application form?

Bros, my sister has a friend who is ready to invite and sponsor her visit to U.K, but my sister lacks the relevant documents like sufficient fund, property deed or shares. Now i think I can make two applications - my application along with her own, stating that she is traveling with me to the U.K.. I want to use my personal company's documents to make the application. Though am not traveling, but just to make sure she has the visa. Please, will it scale through or what do you think should be the best way out? Please, need your advice

Yah u r both right. Its definitely on d mercy of God n visa officer. The mistake is already made whatever their decision am cool with it. Have come to know dat this visa tin is 50/50. So am not giving it another thought until I get my passport back.

Surely that is a good ground for refusal. Visiting London and booking a hotel in Luton or Kent will lead to refusal or traveling as a couple and booking a single bedroom will raise an eyebrow but forgetting the name of the hotel may not be a major issue if the booking confirmation has been submitted.

Just like Liliana pointed out interview for visiting visa is a random thing, so you are not singled out.

If the hotel booking Is genuine and not one of those people book then cancel after submitting their application then it will not be a major issue if all other requirements are met.

'Ok what happened was that I overstayed in the UK beyond the approved 6months. When I got back after a year and a half, I got an immigration officer to backdate my arrival date. I later did a new passport and applied for six months which was granted. Am back after 4+ months to apply for 2years. I submitted previous passports including the one with back date which also have a US visa but no UK visa on it just UK travel history, the last UK visa is on the 1st passport. I have 3 passports, the second contains US visa and uk travel history, while the 3rd has the last visa issued which was 6 months (but 4+month used out of it), now am trying to renew for 2yrs and they dug into travel history on the previous passport and discovered the backdate, so that Passport was SEIZED, and it has 2 years Visa which has never been used running on it, moreover - was denied the UK visa too'

Can she appeal? .... and how pls?

Hi guys. So my mother n I went to the embassy to submit our documents today for a tourist visit but was surprise wen we were ask to wait 4 an interview. My mother had to go in cos we applied together n she is sponsoring the trip. After the interview she told me she answered all questions to d best of knowledge but wen ask the name of the hotel we will b staying she couldn't remember the name so she told the interviewer that the hotel was book by an agency n she was asked d name of d agency, which she told them.

The problem is that am a little scared becos of that. I will like to know whats our chances of getting the visa.

I'm self employed, I have 12 workers, I'm single, and 29 years. This are the documents I intend to submit.

C of O
Company Certificate & Memorandum,
Personal Statement of Account & Corporate Account,
TIN letter from FIRS,
Receipts for goods imported,
Pictures,
Local Government Levy,
Invoice & receipts,
Job orders
Company Vehicle particulars ,
Hotel Reservation.

Kindly advise if I need to add some additional documents . How important is it for me to submit tax clearance certificate as I don't currently have one. I tend to use my personal account more often. Should I submit both or just my personal account. Thanks so much for your much anticipated response.

Thanks justwise,my first post here was on this same issue of salary without tax payment,I think somone here advised about salary paid without tax is unverifiable or so..that the reason I wanna pay it now.although its not worth paying for.

Please bear with me with the disturbing questions.

Can I just go on applying without the tax clearance.
