Amosiye: y re u talking like dis vicjustice. Stop it .I don't like it. I claimed it by by faith that is y I change it. In the first place re u God to judge the cause of peoples trials in life. I change it via my account. Not urs . Being the moderator doesnt give u right to do and say any thing u like.
Amosiye: I trust in God I believe in spiritual words ,grace and faith. I change from refuse to accept. (Nuthing) much just claiming by faith. DID I write wrong about you.? No. Then y the Ill post. Being positive is the best in life. I am always positive I dont know about you. So @ vicjustice I warn you for the last time stop judging people. U re not God. U re just a mere mortal, stop feeling like a God cos u just an ordinary moderator in nairaland. U own not even ur self (As a moderator u re suppose to be polite and use the right words)
Stop being unreasonable: You changed the keyword in that comment and you quoted it by my username in a fraudulent way...
You should have made your own comment of "faith" instead of changing my word and then quoting it as my actual comment to soothe your own purpose.

dremmy: I need help.
I want to study MPH in US but my sponsor (uncle) is in the US. I don't know if it's wise for me to present his account statement and tax clearance as he is in status.
Secondly, for fear of the "strong ties" to Nigeria issue, I'm extremely worried that using him may be a bad option cos I might be denied Visa.
Thirdly, I have another uncle with a good bank statement in Nigeria but then I've been reading from the thread that one's extended family member must explain why they wish to sponsor them.
Then, the last case I thought of was funding my account or that of my mother via these people, but then cash lodgement may be noticed. And I'm applying to study this Jan 2015.
Please I need advice on what to do. Please.
From your narration, you seem to understand every point in the opening post, but why are you still asking the very questions that are answered in it?
Well, I like to touch the issue of uncles as sponsors..:
An uncle who had not been financially responsible over you, and is not your legal guardian would not be accepted as your sponsor for the simple reason that he can not satisfy the visa officer of the personal benefit of sponsoring you

Amosiye: because God almighty is on my side. His grace is sufficient for me.
Do you really need to tamper with my comment, editing it to soothe your own purpose?
This was my original comment:
Vicjustice: Why was your application refused?
But you fraudulently changed it to the opposite despite all your talk about God and faith in him.
Hypocrite, this is the exact thing that is putting people like you into trouble with visa applications and getting you banned...

Castalia: Dear Gurus,
Please i need advice for my sister (She is not on Nairaland).
She applied, paid her visa fees, and submitted her application, and fixed and interview date.
However, she was not able to attend the interview because of exigencies. Now, the date for that planned trip (August 5) has passed.
Now, she wants to start a new application, with proposed travel date for November.
Please, kindly advice on the following:
1. How does/can she get a refund for her initial payment?
2. What happens to her earlier application?
3. Any advice on how to go about it?
Thanks in advance
1) Actually, visa application fee of any category can not be refunded.
2) The "earlier" application is invalid and forfeited
3) You can't do anything about it, you just have to let go. This particular application would have no effect on future applications unless they contradict.
@ 3sha4lyf, i acknowledge your opinion, and I will understand if you disagree with my answers, kindly express your disagreements and the differences would be worked out.

Kunleoduwole: Thank you for the response,I intend getting another passport for any intended future travel.so what do you advise I do whenever am applying to any other country apart from UK..thanks
Simply stay in Nigeria until you are capable to genuinely travel abroad.
TravelRe: Retention Of Passport by Vicjustice: 7:19am On Sep 24, 2014
Kunleoduwole: .Thank you so much bro,for a favorable response.i have written a letter through an immigration lawyer,I would like to know,if my passport is released can I still use the passport to apply to any country i.e shengen states or should i go ahead to get another passport.
The passport is still valid for visa applications to any country, even for the UK, but the negative thing is that the fake stamps would be the focus of attention, and every visa application could be refused for reason of that.
Now, if you go for a new passport, you would still need to declare your experience with the UK embassy whenever you apply for a visa to any country because, there is a field for travel history as well as previous visa applications:
So, what are you going to answer to the question: "Have you ever been refused a visa to any other country?"
If you answered YES, then you will need to explain the reasons, but if you answered NO (or lied about the reason), you would be banned for using deception.
To be honest, your situation doesn't look good
TravelRe: Passport Awareness At The Airport. by Vicjustice:
omolizzy: Written by Olusegun Iselaiye.
PASSPORT AWARENESS AT THE AIRPORT
Please be Careful at the Airports, This is a well organized conspiracy by The Immigration, Police, Customs and Airline staff with networking in all International Airports. Be careful whenever you give your passport to the Immigration/Customs/Airline staff. The passport can be Tampered easily and can create trouble for you. They have found an easy way of making money.
This is how it works:
At the time of the passenger's departure,
if the passenger is not looking at the officer while he is stamping the exit, the officer cleverly tears away one of the page from your passport. When the passenger leaves the immigration counter, the case is reported on his computer terminal with full details.
Now all over the country they have got full details of the passenger with Red Flag flashing on the Passport number entered by the departure immigration officer. They have made their money by doing above.
On arrival next time, he is interrogated.
Subject to the passenger's period of stay abroad, his income and standing etc., the price to get rid of the problem is settled by the Police and Immigration people.
If someone argues, his future is spoiled because there are always some innocent fellows who thinks that honesty is the basis of getting justice.
Please advise every passenger to be careful at the airports. Whenever they hand over the passport to the counters of Airlines or immigration or the customs, they must be vigilant, they should be watchful of their passports even if the officer in front tries to divert their attention.
Also, please pass this information to all friends, media men and important politicians. Every month 20-30 cases are happening all over the world to rob the passenger the minute he lands.
A similar case happened with Aramco's Arifuddin in Pakistan .
He was travelling with his family.
They had six passports. They got the visa of America and decided to go via Jeddah. When they reached the States, the page of the American visa on his wife's passport was missing. At the time of departure from Pakistan it was there, the whole family had to return helplessly. On arrival at Pakistan , they were caught by the police and now it is over 2 months, they are running after the Police, Immigration officers and the Courts. On going in to details with him, he found out the following: One cannot imagine, neither can believe, that the Immigration dept can play such a nasty game to harass the innocent passengers.
All the airlines passengers must be aware of this conspiracy. Every month 15 to 20 cases are taking place, at each mentioned airport, of holding the passengers in the crime of tearing away the passport pages. On interviewing some of them, none of them was aware of what had happened. They don't know why, when and who tore away the page from the middle of the passport. One can imagine the sufferings of such people at the hands of the immigration, police and the court procedures after that. The number of cases has increased in the last 2-3 years. People who are arriving at the immigration, they are questioned and their passports are being held and they have to go in for detailed interrogation. Obviously, the conspiracy started about 2 to 3 years ago, now the results are coming. Some of the Airline counter staff too is involved in this conspiracy.
SO MAKE SURE NOT TO LET THE PASSPORT GO OFF YOUR SIGHT EVEN FOR A SECOND. EVERYONE WANTS TO GET OVER WITH THE AIRPORT FORMALITIES AND GO HOME. SO BEING VIGILANT FOR AN EXTRA MINUTE WILL SAVE YOU A LIFETIME OF MISERY. BEST OF LUCK IN YOUR TRAVELS.
KINDLY SEND THIS TO AS MANY OF YOUR INTENDING TRAVELERS AND FRIENDS ACROSS THE WORLD REQUEST THEM TO CHECK THE PASSPORT AT THE CHECKING COUNTERS AND BEFORE LEAVING THE AIRPORT
With all due respects, i think this article doesn't make sense, how could immigration officers be ripping off pages from people's passport and get away with it?
Whoever it is that told you this story is a liar and a monger of lies, otherwise, s/he might have been one of those who attempted to travel with questionable passports or other forged documents: this is the only way that immigration officers can have the guts to rip off the passport because, they know very well that many Nigerians who are genuinely qualified to travel abroad are also capable of taking serious actions against them.

I repeatedly answered your questions to the best of my ability and yet, you kept on asking the same answered question even though i explained again and again that your nature of (cash-in-hand) job is unacceptable as it does not meet the requirement especially as you work in an unregistered sector: so, therefore, you asking me how you can "justify" your employment is something that you need to answer yourself as someone who knows how your system works in Pakistan.
Here is the quote of your last query:
Yahyabutt: Respected Sir!

It is ok about the sponsorship, Kindly say something about my employment. Is there any way to justify this employment? What I can write about my employment in appeal letter?

Thank you so much for your attention!

Though prior to my applying for a uk visa, last year i gave my passport to an agent to help me stamp on it to show fat i had a little travel history. The note further said enquiries will be undertaken before the passport will be forwarded to Nigeria immigration abuja..Dont know what to do now.
Only in Nigeria you see Syndicates calling themselves "Agents", Criminals calling themselves "Consultants", Touts calling themselves "Connection-men", Nuisances calling themselves "Hustlers", Scammers calling themselves "Smart-guys", Thieves calling themselves "Guy-men" Extortioners calling themselves "Business-men" and Document-forgers calling themselves "Bank-Insiders".
Next time, beware of "agents": that is if there will ever be a next time since you have been banned for 10 years.

3sha4lyf: VicJ, truth to be told, that was a good question the poster asked... simply put, "do I wait for sms from vfs or status change on their website or go to their office after 2 working days?
There's been cases where people receive communication from UKVO but don't hear from VFS even after 2 working days. Someone has even stated in the past that his visa was issued since and people shouldn't wait for vfs. So the poster asking this question is not out of place.
Remember there's a saying that "There is sense in Nonsense". Pls try to help others like you would. You've been there for people; I know you are not obliged to respond to people's queries but if you decide to, please be nice to them

Tx.
To you, it was a good question, but to me, it is nothing but one other person asking the same question which has been asked over and over and over again.
The question wasn't directed at you, but to me, so I treated it as I deemed appropriate.
Again, it seems you people are angry with me for not answering it, otherwise, tell me what I did or said wrong?
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 2 by Vicjustice: 10:57am On Sep 18, 2014
AceMiss: Well,Mr Vicjustice I apologise for bothering you with my trivial and irrelevant question.Going forward,I will ensure my questions are directed to the right people. But I still believe you need to be educated on how to talk to people, nothing gives you the license to speak to people in such a manner especially when you don't know who's on the other side.
Have you ever heard the sound of my voice? How then did you say that I need to be educated on how to speak?
By the way, how did I "speak" ill to you, I mean, what bad language did I use to you?

First of all, what did i say or do wrong?
Well, i prefer to be strict when I feel I have to, and i do my voluntary job the way I prefer provided I do not break the forum rules... I am not under anyone's employment nor am I being paid for what I do, so, I don't need anyone to lecture me on how to do it.

Well, I am not Justwise hence I ignored the irrelevant question when you first directed it to Justwise, and I only responded when you invited me into it.
I never said that I know it all, and I expect every one (including you) to know the meaning of that text: and yet, you chose to ask it because it is free to ask whatever irrelevant question: and to expect one to waste his time responding to such while there are more reasonable queries that need attentions

Hello Justwise and other gurus,i got an email yesterday morning from the British high commission in Lagos with the following message "your visa has now been processed and is ready for collection. We aim to return passports to the visa application centre where you lodged your application within 2 working days". I just checked VFS' tracking portal but it is still showing "your application has been forwarded to the british high commission for processsing". Do i wait for the alert to come in(or the status on their tracking portal to change) or should i just go at the end of 2 working days(that would be tomorrow). Kindly advice as usual. Thank you

So, you require Justwise or a "guru" to interpret the text for you in other to understand the English?
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 2 by Vicjustice: 9:05am On Sep 18, 2014
3sha4lyf: Sorry VicJustice, that clause " the documents in the name of other person is readily available here in nigeria " doesn't necessarily mean that the applicant submitted false documents. It may mean, and in this case, that the documents provided are not sufficient enough to convince the ECO of a genuine relationship between the applicant and his claimed cousin because, like they clearly state, documents are easily ready from any source in Nigeria.
They sometimes give this kind or "...documents readily available in Nigeria..." Kinda reason to, for example some students who've been refused because they submitted photocopy of their credentials rather than originals. They were not banned, they simply needed to submit sufficient documents ie original copy.
I have personally seen many occasions in which the particular expression was used, and all of them are regarding the presentation of fake documents that are readily available even at the eembassy's gate. If only Hopetee (the complainant) would provide the exact context in which the phrase was made, that would have answered the question.

3sha4lyf: As per 30k-salary-fit-for-travel, well, I made that suggestion based on applicants claims that (s)he as another source of income cum business asides employment. And don't forget that applicant claims to also have apprx. 1.2NGN sitting somewhere in done bank.
Also, like I started my suggestion, applicant may need to address all the issues raised on the refusal letter before reapplying. So that means that If they had a problem with applicant's remuneration, then applicant will have to consider that and reapply when circumstances changes.www was
HTH
Well, the amount of money that he has is not what satisfies the Visa Officers, buy the sources of income and the method of earnings are what they are interested in... And as we can see from the obvious, his official earning is just N30k, and his other sources of income are undocumented and unregistered: and even with a suggestion that he registers his business, it will still take a whole (taxation) year for the business to meet the requirement.
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 2 by Vicjustice: 12:00am On Sep 18, 2014
3sha4lyf: Hey, you may need to address the issues raised in your refusal letter before you attempt a reapplication or you'll waste ur funds and get another refusal. Reason 1, they were right, you've admitted u didn't include ur palm reaping. Be sure to state the habits of your income eg. How often the monies come in, what range etc. Also add supporting documents like receipts (I'm really not sure if you can pass with this or you have to show proof of its business registration but I'll imagine you can put this as your informal pet-project aside your job- pls don't quote me on this. Lol)
Reason 2. They are right and your budget was a bit unrealistic. Yes people spend way above their income on trips cos we know what goes on in Nigeria, especially this period, but then you have to be realistic even if you wanna spend billions you just received from a windfall of money. Cut ur budget if you really have the money and note to the ECO that you have saved towards this trip. Lol.
Reason 3. Can't fault that. Anyone can claim anything. So u may need to show correspondences eg without limitations, mails, SMS, chats, pictures etc. You can also ask your cousin sister COUSIN to attest to an affidavit of relationship! or you can do that. Dunno?!
Reason 4 you know what you have... Put them together and show proof that you got potent reasons to go back to Naija. smiley.

This is just my suggestions. HTH.
Do you really encourage him to connect the dots and reapply despite the fact that he officially earns N30k a month?
Also, you don't seem to understand his point #3 as you don't seem to be familiar with this particular expression "the documents in the name of other person is readily available here in nigeria". This expression (which is used by Visa Officers) means that the document in question is fake and that they are used to seeing similar ones in other people's name.
Except I am the one who is misunderstanding the issues, this, in my opinion, is a 10 years ban

hopetee: hi every one. can some one help me here, is urgent. i was refused entry clearance by the UK embersy reasons that
1 that i did not attach enough document to prove the source of fund in my account and that credits into my account do not commiserate with my sated monthly income and that he(ECO) is not convinced that the letter of employment i provided is my only job or occupation.
2 that i said i was going to spend 1500 pounds during my 3 weeks visit that the amount stated is 13 times bigger than my stated monthly income of 30,000
3 that i did not provide any evidence of document in the name of my cousin sister to show we are related that he(ECO) is aware that the documents in the name of other person is readily available here in nigeria.
4 that i do not have any asset and dependent relative in nigeria to show that i have enough ties in nigeria.
in my application i have sated that i earn 30.000 which same amount is writing in my employment letter though i have a palm plantation of 200 heads of full grown palm trees but i did not include the property deed in my application and i earn 55k from the farm monthly but the money do not redealy come to me due to the nature of the business as some customers delay in payment for the goods. i have 1.2m in my account statement though i inherited most of that money from my late father as death benefit which sated in my application and i provided a letter of administration stating me and my mum as administrators.( mother and son) but i did not provide death certificate of my late father.
i want to know if i can re apply. if yes can i change 1500 pounds to some thing smaller like 800gbp in my next application? again can i add my farm as my second business and provide the deed of conveyance which i used to buy the farm land in 2012. can i also add affidatvit as to next of kin to support my clain for the source of the money. please some should help me here.
You officially earn N30k, and you want to visit the UK as a tourist?
Anyway, you have been banned for 10 years for the reason given in point number 3.

sboba: Hello Vicjustice

I have gone through the thread must commend the good job your doing here, I have also taken time to go through the other thread on child delivery in USA (that is my interest). Now I need your advise on the financial sides.

Please note that I have put things in place to cater for all the expenses.
Hospital charges and all others approximately $8000
Travels and others N500,000

My wife will be travelling alone, as we do not have enough funds for the two of us and also believes it shows some ties to home country. I work with a consulting firm and have a take home pay of N200,000 my wife works as a contract staff with an american child care organisation in Nigeria and has a take home of N150,000.
Our savings account has about N1. million, and both salaries account has in flows and out flows and currently at about nN100k each. we would be getting additional funding for the trip from external family(however we do not intend to state this in our application). My fear is that the deposit my be seen at lodgement if deposited before the visa interview

Do you advise we proceed with this plan ? or how best should we go along with it. In your analysis note that I have a property in my mum's name, my wife has been in the US before about 2 years ago for a short course. I look forward to your resonse
sboba: Yes she is going to declare this
Though, your combined income is ok, but I am a little concerned that your savings are not encouraging for the category of the visa sought: be aware that some delivery costs can amount to over $20.000 especially when there are complications requiring the use of incubators or other life support machines.
I do not wish this experience on your wife, but it is reasonably to understand some reasons why visa officers are not encouraged to approve such visa to applicants who are not very wealthy.
You might have have thought of this idea because you have seen or have heard of those who traveled abroad to have their babies, but trust me, these people use deception and conceal their pregnancies: but they eventually get banned (some for life).
The best way to go about it is to obtain a long term visa so she can use the later period of the visa for the baby delivery, but yet, it is not entirely legitimate: she might need to contact the embassy

DisGuy: Do you blame them? with this kinda story when a grown up student dont know her real age, where an educational organisation like WAEC can 'give' somebody a date of birth, when it take 20plus years to 'realise' the dates on your documents smh
Exactly my thoughts.

Ornaments: Please NL, dnt jst view this pls drop a matured comment,
Please my sister is soo disturbed right now, she has a complicated life though.
Starting from her age, she is 1987, waec gave her 1986.
Secondly, she wasted almost 5 years in lautech studying a course that had problem, she told dad when she was in 200L but he thought she wasn't serious till when she got to 500L then he got a form for her to go to covenant university.
Because of the fact that she wasted 5yrs and waec increased her age, she decided to do the age reduction(1986-1989) on her waec result last year january cos of age limit(because she started applying immediately after nysc orientation camp), she paid 20k to do this, only to find out few days ago that the waec she thought has 1989 actually has 1986 when she used the waec scratch card to check online.
Now the most annoying thing is she intend going to UK for her masters and has started the application, she's jst waiting for her admission letter and all the document has 1989 including her international passport.
Now its easier to change some of the documents that has 1989 but what about her international passport and the documents she sent to U.K
Pls ow possible is it for her to change the age on her passport and other document. With this their mentality abt nig and she's scared they myt not give her visa even if she's offered an admission and she's also getting married in UK next year march.
Pls I need suitable advise from matured minds.
Thank you all
Well, I advice you to visit your local immigration centre and they would refer you to Abuja where they can work on it. But remember that nothing goes for nothing.
