dideoluayantund: Can some one please help: I have a British wife and daughter, was in the uk illegally, charged for driving without license and charged but did not attend court before returning to Niaja at my expense as advice by my lawyer.I once applied but did not have a proof for paternity so was refuse based on this reason and that of the pending charges. After the appeal the judge rules that the pending charges can not be use as reason for my exclusion.I am working presently and my wife does,my salary is well above the threshold.pls how do i deal with the pending charges and what are my chances.pls help.Apart from violating the immigration rules as well as tthe traffic rules, your main concern should be the "jumpingx"of a court date and subsequently absconding. This is a s is a very serious criminal matter, and you must have been coconvicted of the charges and the conviction must have been worsened by your failure to attend the hearing, and therefore, an arrest warrant must have been issued against you. This means that you are liable to be arrested (even) at the port of entry and you won't be eligible for a bail until you do the time or you are discharged and acquitted. |
Asorock 1: I have read from this forum, of someone saying that his Aunty was refused a UK visa 5 times or there about until she included a consent letter from the husband to travel. That has more to do with circumstantial factor than requirement. If you're travelling abroad with your spouse's money or she has a joint account with you, or you have a commitment responsibility under your spouse (such responsibility that requires you to stay in the country) then, such consent letter may be reasonable. |
Asorock 1: For the bolded part, I don't know what to do , a bit confused, justwise in my previous post stated that tax clearance certificate is not needed by employees but is very important for business owners or self employed.Justwise was right, (and like I explained,) it is not a requirement to present a tax report document since it shows in your payslips... You should be fine with your pay-slips alone if you work in a renown and reputable company, but it could be a bit of a problem if you are an employee of a struggling company. The revenue tax system is a very useful way that helps the embassy to judge the reputation, the credibility as well as the legitimacy of a company, a business and as well as an employee: therefore, the embassy does require visa applicants to have evidence of tax (revenue) compliance. It is generally expected that a salary earning worker pays tax, it is logically expected that the taxes are withdrawn from your salary, and it is normally expected that your pay-slips show tax records: but if for any reason your work documents does not have tax record, then the legitimacy of your employer as well as the legitimacy of your job is questionable. |
Asorock 1: Please I don't understand what you mean drastic. Did I say anything wrongIt's indeed drastic that a man needs an approval or a clearance letter from his wife to travel abroad, that shouldn't be in document, it is ridiculous |
Dis Guy: a bit drasticIndeed. ![]() |
tupengo: Hi Nairaland,my name is Oluwaseun and have tried South Africa visa twice in the month of October an November respectively which I have being denied. My question is can I still use my passport to reapply for the same country or is no more valid, and how can I get a genuine agent to processeed the visa for me easily and guarantee, please @everybody tell me what to do,am not myself anymoreIf the expiring date of your passport is still counting, then you can still use it even after a hundred visa refusals. I should warn you to avoid using any "agent" because, no one gets a visa by using "agents", all they get are lengthy or life bans: such a good punishments for anyone who is silly enough to allow syndicates (in the name of visa "agents" ) to represent them |
Asorock 1: Hello my people, Vicjustice, justwise , fellow nairlands ok here i am again,I'm almost set for my UK application, please i want to outline the documents i will be submitting, and please my dear brothers and sisters kindly advice on what to add and what to substract.1&2) As a tourist, you really don't need to have a special compelling reason to want to visit the UK, but because they systematically use this question to examine an applicant, it is wise to give a satisfying answer. To give convincing answer for this, it is reasonable to use Google search engine to look up the areas that you wish to visit: also, read their eencyclopedia in same Google... By this, you should be able to satisfyingly convince the ECO of your knowledge about the places that you wish to visit. 3) Normally, you are not required to present your tax papers if it shows in your pay-slip, but because Visa Officers are aware of the wide-spread frauds by means of document alterations, it is difficult for them to trust any document that does not carry security authentication. You can use your pay-slips as they are, but if you want to avoid the possibility of refusal due to unverifiable tax record, you might want to consider getting tax compliance report. 4) Give the figure in Naira, they will convert it to Pound Sterling (not Dollar) |
[ nickson03: Pls can any advice me i am british and my son is british but i want to. Relocate to ireland to reside. I want to register as self employed in ireland and apply for my wife eea family permit. The reason for this is because of the 18600 the anti british introduce. However, my wife has been refuse uk visiting visa on two occassoin. If i should reside in ireland and register as self employed and i apply for my wife eea fimily permit will she get the viisa? Or will she be refuse ireland eea family because she has previous be refuse uk visa on two occasion? Pls advice if i stand a chance of getting ireland eea if i. Should reside there as self employe.I remember that you asked these particular questions before, and o remember replying to it with this: "I'm 99% positive that she will be refused an Irish visa owing to the fact that she had been refused the UK visa on two occasions, and it is reasonable for the Irish authority (who share same immigration data-base with the UK) to suspect her of trying to bypass the UK regulations by taking the Irish route. I recommend that you keep the struggle within the UK side because, applying for an Irish visa will definitely be regarded as a desperate attempt to beat the UK immigration, and that would cost your wife her credibility" |
Here is a question no one has every asked nor answered correctly since I have been following this forum. If someone who sells Garri or someone who runs a cybercafe or a mechanic or spare-part dealer wants to apply for a Uk tourist Visa, As the business owner, They dont receive salaries nor receive payslips , just a business registration and a bank account on their names. Does that mean because they don't receive monthly salary they cannot apply for UK Visa? Please answer..... Is uk visa only for Salary earners ?
The answer to this is NO, visa applications are not only for salary earners, they are for every individual who meets the requirements among which are; legally documented occupations (whether in employment or self employed); the applicant must be a verifiable documented earner and must have obligation to return to Nigeria for.Visa applications are not for individuals who work or sell things in undocumented manners and earn wages without clerical accountability |

How long will the "marriage" last? |
curiobling: hi, i just received my acceptance to present in an annual conference in US in February 2014. Am currently an undergrauate student, i hav no assets, no saving, not married. My sch intend to sponsor my trip to bring the glory back to them. What supplemental do i need to win the heart of the ECO? Advice plsIf you're being sent to a recognized competition event and you happened to be a talented individual to represent your school, the school would take care of your every need, but in any other case, you need to meet the requirements which I don't know whether or not you fulfil at this moment |
Asorock 1: Cheers!!!! Thanks so much SOTAJ, but on a closer look at that budget, if you are the ECO what you gonna think? You seem to bother too much over little matters, from the little that I now know about your circumstances, i sincerely think that you merit a tourist visa, and I reckon that honesty alone is sufficient to make your application a success. Now, you don't need to give an accurate account of how much you spend on family every month, just give an estimated honest figure and add (estimate EST or approximate APP) at the end of the figure; for example N90.000 EST. |
Dramadiddy: hello guys, i applied for uk settlement visa on the 31st of october, im goin as a dependant cus ma uncle is in the uk.... but since then i havent gotten any text apart from the "your visa application has been received for processing".. was just wondering if anyone could give me an updated time as to which the application process will be completed...waiting for ur responses...thanksYou applied for a UK visa as a dependant of your "uncle"? Well, that's a minus. Anyway, there's nothing you can do to fast-forward the application, so there's no need to bother yourself with anxiety |
Hi Asorock1. It takes a real man to admit a fault and it takes wisdom to apologise for it: I am therefore delighted to accept your apology. |
Asorock 1: You shouldn't conclude just like that, you are not here with me to know my circumstances, what are you thinking? That anybody that comes here to seek for advice is poor or something, I have to be honest with you, somehow you should work on your public relation, You sound harsh at times if not always, I have over a million naira in that account with regular and consistence income, I also have investment worth millions not bragging anyway, you should try to correct the manner in which you answer or follow people's post here, NOBODY KNOWS IT ALL. Thanks for your reply and I appreciate. You sought my advice and i rendered it to you my own way; you asked me to explain, and I explained it in all honesty. I said nothing of offensive nature, so, it is not my fault that you are unable to accept my own opinion, that is your own problem. Now, this is a display of an ungrateful character, I gave my time and efforts answering your numerous questions, yet you have the mind to show this attitude...: by the way, I'm not interested in how extremely rich you are, just save the bragging for someone who may be interested in your wealth |
Asorock 1: It is simple, N20k paid into your account is insignificant if the money in the account is imposing, but for the fact that you are bothered that it may raise a question, I am of the opinion that there is not much money in your account |
Nairalanders I need urgent help.... My father was just issued his citizenship..as it his now I would like to know my chances in joining him over there....please house I need your sincere advise...on what we can do.

In ma passport it states 23....but am 28
If you are a dependant minor under 16, that could be possible, but as a 23 (28) years old adult, that would be impossible |
Asorock 1: Vicjustice, justwise and the house please I intend to book a hotel reservation for 7 days ,will I be able to do this with my ATM visa debit card either with the access bank or fidelity bank, I activated I pin for the access bank card but haven't tried to use it for any online transactions yet. Or should I tell my brother in US to book it for me. Will this pose a problem in anyway? If you have someone to do the reservation for you with a foreign credit card (from abroad) it would be a better choice because, it sometimes happens (but not necessarily the case) that reservations made using Nigerian credit cards (or using foreign credit cards from Nigeria) are automatically cancelled even though there was initial auto confirmation. Ensure that you contact the hotel management for human confirmation. As for your second concern, that individual is definitely guilty of MONEY LODGEMENT, it is very different from your case in which the monies paid into your account are regular and consistent cash payments by your employer. Addressing your third concern: N20k is very insignificant. But hang on a second, are you making me understand that N20k paid into your account is an issue to you? If so, I am of the opinion that your financial circumstance is below what is acceptable for tourist visa application. |
mojisolani: Are you saying I should not submit now? What should I do pls explain betterGiven your personal circumstances and the personal fund available to you, it would take a whole page to explain what you need to do... But you can read my articles on Main Reasons Visas Are Refused as well as The List Of Documents Required... |
mojisolani: Am single and I work as a programme and event manager in my organisation, have been to Ghana and Tazania on business visa.In my opinion, your chance is 0.9% (zero point nine percent) |
Asorock 1: So what are you saying justwise? What's the best thing to do now ?Please, ignore anyone who advices you to proceed with your intention... It is reasonable to apply for the visa in due time: when you are through with every questionable transaction, when your printed statement of account is a true representation of your financial circumstances as shown in your bank account. You don't want to be in the mercy of the discretion of a visa officer to either consider your action as deceptive and get you banned; or to give you the benefit of doubt and yet refuse your application without a ban. |
I am a business man and I use my personal savings account for my business, Can I use the same savings account to apply for the UK Visa and how do i go about the salary issue? do I need a payslip when I dont receive salary? Vic, just wise and others help
It is not logical to expect that you will be spending the money intended for your business on a (tourist) trip abroad, therefore, you will definitely have troubles with this kind of account |
Asorock 1: Please justwise, Vicjustice and other gurus in the house, I want to ask if i can print a statement of account from my bank today and use it for UK visa application in a week or 2 weeks timeYou shouldn't have any problem with a 5 months bank statement especially if the Visa Officer does not see any cause to suspect that you're hiding a recorded transaction. But however, I should warn you that it is risky to present a bank statement to the embassy and then to withdraw a significant amount from the account... This could (but not necessarily) be judged as deception which could result in a 10 years ban from the UK. |
Fulaman198: There is no right and wrong, stop doing what your screen name saysWhat does her screen name say? Oh, you mean that she kisses butt? But that is not what it means, it means that other people should kiss her's, not she kissing other people's butt |
