eziafakise: @ vicjustice i have filled another DS160, and updated, but telling them i am going for my wedding shopping is it ideal? i only intend to stay for 8 days, and also going with my wedding iv to the embassy ! please i need further clarifications, thanks for your kind gesture and response so far, just want to be fully prepared. The issue of concern was not about what you want to do in the UK, but rather about your intention to present your fiance as your sponsor. Therefore, I'll treat this is as a different query. Now, if it's about the purpose of travel, bear in mind that the visa officer expects more to your purpose than just wedding shopping, and be informed that some of their favourite questions are: "why have you chosen the UK?" "what would you be doing in your spare time?" "Where will you go?" "How will you get there "Who will you see?" With these, you can see that they expect more than just wedding shopping, so be prepared to study the areas and evirons. Make good use of Google search |
Beverly1: @op....u've truely done a good job to get this list for us.....but pls i would want more clearification about this.......my fiancee is a kiwi and i plan to visit her as soon as i can...we've been together 5months now and we've truely keep the communication going and even now, we've spent more than $4k on just phone calls and we also have other means of comm as well and even handwritten lettersUnfortunately, that would be a hard one as visa officers are not interested in explanation without evidence to substantiate your claims that you intend to leave their country in due time. Besides, she will not be eligible to sponsor you: The only way that you can pull it through in your given circumstances is by marital rights, but since you're not yet married, and coupled with the fact that you are virtual strangers, your application will definitely fall short unless of course she is a big named entity like Beyonce or Madonna |
eziafakise: i earn 180k per month , so you think it's best i dont involve him in the trip,? so saying i'm going for my wedding shopping which is what i intend doing it's still very okay?If you fulfilled other requirements, your income is fair enough to earn you the visa without a sponsor, but if you want to use your fiance as your sponsor, you'd face the enormous challenge to satisfy the visa officer of a lot of things that I can't see how you'd get through with them |
nubiangyrl: Hello Vicjustice, justwise and fellow nairalanders, a friend of mine invited me to canada for visiting, and i have collated all my documents, however my employer just payed my september salary today after waiting for weeks, then in addition to that, they ended up paying cash instead of the usual transfer. Please i hope this delayed salary payment and cash payment would not be seen as a red flag or irregularity because this is the first time such is happening and i have been working with my employer for a while nowBy your explanation, it is obvious that your job does not appear to look like one that is sustained and the credibility and reputation of your employer is in question. Now, apart from the fact that your payment is irregular, it is also an additional foul that your employer paid you a salary in cash: It would be impossible to get a visa with such questionable employment. |
Here is one: www.boards.ie You can try it |
Please house, a brother wants to go to Marcedonia,What does it cost to get to mercodonia, visa, flight ticket any other requirement.
Don't even think about It |
eziafakise: @ Vicjustice he's not. Actually my wedding is on the febuary next year, so im getting most of my things there. so more like a wedding shopping ! or what do u thinkYou asked my opinion? Well, I don't see how you can get a tourist visa under the sponsorship of a fiance who is not traveling with you: you would need a miracle for that |
eziafakise: please my friends, i have scheduled an appiontment for america tourist visa during my annual leave, i work in a firm and earning a reasonable sum, i have all my documents ready ie hotel reservation, bank statement, naija pp, payslip, employment letter, company ID , leave letter, . MY fiance is sponsoring the trip as well, and i am also going with his bank statement, what other of his documents do i need. thanks for your quick response. Is your "fiance" travelling with you? |
Africaine: Thanks everyone, esp vicjustice n justwise.Good to hear good news. |
BnBarbie: Hello people,Cover letter of what regard? |
ekkywolex: so do i have to apply for a vacation visa? what are d requirements? i dont need to book for hotel since am staying with a friend.will a million in balance be okay for the documentation? yhanksYour questions are answered in the opening post and you can find answers to others here: https://www.nairaland.com/1181160/comprehensive-list-documents-required-visas |
kwakayekaa: pls i need more infoIceland is a Scandinavian country (island) isolated and located in the Norwegian Sea: it is the only Scandinavian country that is in the west of Europe. |
ekkywolex: Hello vic, I intend to go to d uk by July next year with my wife n two kids for a three week family visit...my friend is inviting me. None of us have travelled out before. I have been working for close to 5 sal about 130k. What do I need to apply with, how much is okay for the bank balance, have about 250k now, my wife is also working..will I need to pay the 3000 pound bond?Your travel intention does not qualify you for the "Family Visit" category, family visit is not defined by traveling with one's family, but rather by traveling to visit a close family member. Though it is easier for people with travel history to get a visa, but you don't need to be a frequent traveller in order for your application to be successful. The N250k would barely be enough to buy tickets for your 2 kids |
MamiWata: I invite you to visit an Irish board, post some nonsense about the Irish converting to Nigerian culture and see the welcome you get. You are so pathetic to think that we should be bending over backwards respecting this disrespectful, ignorant troll of a woman. If you have found the spare time to defend this ghost then perhaps you have the spare time to investigate why you are looking for ghastly women like this one when there are so many better ones back home.If you're willing to accept it, I'd tell yu that people in Irish forums wouldn't be this impolite. By the way, not every man that fancy what you fancy, those "many better ones back home" might not just be what I personally fancy |
Knock! Knock!! Knock!!! |

IrishBebey: Seems you have been keeping your eyes busy with the cute photosMy eyes are meant for seeing, it's nor what I see that counts, but what I conceive |
IrishBebey: So, why did it generate so much response then?Because it generated so much response heheh ![]() |
BnBarbie: Ok. Wat if som1 was into like a thrift contribution such that there were no funds in d account until a particular month? That would be unacceptable, it is a clear example of money lodgement |
BnBarbie: Dear Nairalanders,Money Lodgement is defined when such deposits make a significant part of the fund in your account, |
nickxtra: Pls, can someone help me out - My sister in the UK intends to invite her boy friend's parents to spend two weeks with her during Christmass; she has already sent an invitation letter in which she described the boy's father as her uncle. Pls will the Visa office demand for the evidence of that relationship between my sister and her boy's friend's father? She has also provided all her UK documents for me to proceed with the application for the man and the woman. Pls, how do I go about the application for them, considering that they are going as husband and wife. Is there anything like a joint Visa application or should I submit the application separately for them? Morealso, do I need to book for an appointment with the Visa Office before going there with the applicants for biometrics? Aside the documents supplied by my sister as their sponsor and the applicants' int'l passport, do the applicants still required to submit any other document?Sure, they will demand evidence of relationship, and if found that she is using deception, she will be blacklisted and may never be eligible to invite anyone again in future. The visa applications are to be done online, log on to the website, the guideline and instructions are there. There is no such thing as "joint visa application", every application is observed as individual and treated in its own merit. Go online and fill the application form, and at the end, follow the instructions, you will be guided on how to submit and book appointment. And yes, applicants are required to submit own documents |
royalsweetness: Please can someone explain the term 'money lodgement'. cuz i don't really get it. Thank you. Also, if you are applying for a student visa, do you need to submit your sponsor's tax clearanceThat is the act of depositing an irregular lump sum of money into a bank account for the apparent purpose of using the bank statement as proof of fund. Now, for student applicants, as long as it is allowed to have a sponsor, it is therefore ok to have evidence of money lodgement provided that the money stays for the required period of time in personal account, but your sponsor's account MUST NOT show evidence of such lodgement, that will not be acceptable. To your second question, the revenue tax system is a very useful way that helps the embassy to judge the reputation, the credibility as well as the legitimacy of a company, a business and as well as an employee: therefore, the embassy does require visa applicants to have evidence of tax (revenue) compliance It is generally expected that a salary earning worker pays tax, it is logically expected that the taxes are withdrawn from your salary, and it is normally expected that your pay-slips show tax records: but if for any reason your work documents does not have tax record, then the legitimacy of your employer as well as the legitimacy of your job is questionable. |
IrishBebey: Let's talk about all the good things and the bad things, and that may be lets talk about Bleep lolI thought the lyrics goes "let's talk about you and me" |
IrishBebey: Could that be from personal experience? HeheheLol, my mouth, my lips are ![]() |
IrishBebey: I too would like to knowHey, what's up? |
what kind of foolish question be that? ofcourse! read the title of the thread and what you wrote all over it.
Does the title or the comments in this thread refer to you personally? There is no need for all these bashing, why not let her be? |
Hi Vicjustice, Please i need your advice on the below My brother will attend an interview at the US embassy next week for a business visa, he's a business development officer with a company in Nigeria. He would be sponsored by the company in Nigeria and the company's headquarter in US have stated in his Invitation Letter that they would be financially and morally responsible for him. My question is: Does he need to go with his personal Statement of Account? or he does not need his personal account since he's definitely going with the company's account? The interview is this coming Monday, and some of his friends that got their visas with the same means said he does not need personal account, while just a friend said he might need it. So i decided to help him confirm. Thanks
Company sponsorship is reputable especially if the company is not a struggling type, but it does not guarantee a successful application: it is not the company that is travelling abroad, but the applicant, therefore, the onus is on your brother (the applicant) to satisfy the visa officer with his personal circumstances: and that includes evidence of his salary, the position that he holds in the company, age of employment, family status, properties owned, travel history etc, and most importantly, the presentation of the undisputable proof of the fund that is available to him and obligations to return back for. Now, if the money for his travel is held in his personal account, then he would be required to present it, otherwise, it is not an established requirement to present own bank statement, but because some people are not able to present these proofs, so they use their bank statements to satisfy these requirements. |
I sent you an email, you can now send me the picture(s) as attachments. You may now wipe off the email address |
