kogiataglance: Babaeko Richard Simone Menne the only female CFO of a German blue chip company Lufthansa group, says Nigeria should not forget about her roots. According to ThisDay Newspaper of October 13, 2013 Edited by Demola Ojo; page 38: She said I think Nigeria should not forget about her roots. what is not known around the world is the kind of cultural roots that are here. In not so many words, according to www.kogiataglance.net statistics Kogi state is a frontliner when it comes to culture. She continued that Oshogbo is an example where you can see some of the heritages, she said she went sailing on the beaches regularly but what people want to see back home are the heritages and culture, the sculptures, and the artwork that are not well known. www.kogiataglance.net can categorically tell you from our findings that there are about 40 undeveloped waterfalls and spring resorts in Kogi stateI don't think anyone is suggesting that any people should forget their root, but keeping a culture or observing a tradition does not make it wise to insult or discriminate against others who are of different cultures (like some of you guys are doing here). |
I Hate 9ja: @ vicjustice1) It depends on the country though most countries do not allow a person with tourist visa to do marriage registry (like the UK, you can't marry if you are not entitled to remain in the country for more than 6 months). 2) I'm not in position to answer how a person can get employment in Canada... 3) Please, write in English, I can't cope with your manner of writing. 4) Canada hardly deport anyone except on criminal grounds: this said, you're not going to be careless enough to allow your visa to run out without making a provision for legality or at least be in an official process for legalization |

Fulaman198: She's a Nigerian woman, she does not care. She knows it is true. Most Nigerian women are interested in leaving the country (even though it is not really better when you go to the United States/England), and marrying a foreigner. You really don't know her, you should have known that overseas travel is not her big deal, she's a figure model internationally |

It's always nicer to have direct dealings with the main people |
I created the list in response to the below quote, so other points weren't relevant as at then. I Hate 9ja: @ vicjustice |

It used to be easier, but September 11th and subsequent terror attacks that are perpetrated on religious grounds by non natives have changed the views of many in developed world in such a way that they no longer want to encourage people with foreign cultures. There are 10 ways that I can personally think of: 1) Asylum (this is getting harrder and harder with time) 2) Amnesty (when a country feels that there are too many undocumented liability immigrants that they can't get rid of, it comes to the time that legalizing them becomes an easier option. This is comonly practiced in countries like Greece, Italy, Spain, Portugal etc). 3) Marriage to a person with rights. 4) Job offer (if an employer is willing to apply for an immigrant stay) 5) Humanitarian grounds (if removing an immigrant would endanger the person's health etc) 6) Impersonation (criminally illegal: there are vast number of Nigerians who no longer bear their original names because, they obtained their resipdence permit by impersonating someone else). 7) Child birth (especially if one of the parents is a person with rights) 8 ) Having enough capital to invest in the country. 9) Buying a reasonable property in the country 10) Being exceptionally good at a sport or education (in such a way that the country is interested to naturalize you to represent them) +1) Adoption (for minors only) |
chuksbogus: that will be very difficult, its a fed govt hospitl and even if that possible they wouldnt do dat for me cos am an exco of my nursing union so the management hates and wouldnt do anything to help an exco. what about if i went to the bank the hospitl is using and pay it into my acct writing name of depositor as my employer? though my employer normaly use transfars.but they may be expecting me to include d pay slipI would have suggested that you postpone your intention to travel until you've sorted out your bank statement issue, but considering that the application is time sensitive, I'm short of suggestions. You see, if you lodge in the money using your employer as the payer (without their cooperation), you need to consider the possibility of the embassy telephoning your hospital to inquire about the irregular lodgement, and if found to be fraud, you would be banned from Canada for life. But hang on a moment, isn't your travel about education and course, why not lodge in the monies now and allow it to rest there for some time before applying in due time? Money Lodgement mainly counts in tourist/visitors visa application. But in your case, if you allow the lodgements to stay in your account for a considerable period if time, you may be fine |
chuksbogus: thanks bro!! pls how best can i lodge in the money without having isues with the embassy. How about seeking the cooperation of your employer, I mean, why not ask your employer to systematically lodge the money into your account? I know that this looks money laundering, but it is quite different since the money (apparently) wasn't accumulated by illegitimate means from illegal source |

chuksbogus: VICJUSTICFriend, be more careful next time that you are giving your email address to someone, a single misspelling can cost you a whole lot, you know it. Anyway, i rectified the error and have sent you an email with my brother's email address, you can now contact him, (tell him Victor-his brother in Dublin) referred him... he is in a very good position to help you with any desired information on the field and on your career pursuit. But if you need travel advice, feel free to come back here. For the mean time, i recommend that you withdraw your email address before predators begin to try their lucks on you. |
Pasca07: @vicjustice,pls i need ur advise my sister earn 200k per month in nigeria and she was invited by our uncle in uk for a month visit pls what r d document my sister need to provide in nigeria.Prrhaps you like to tell Seun to integrate a translation programme so you may translate the opening article to your language of preference? |
sundyke107: Greetings to all the gurus in the house.Though 6 months bank statement is the requirement, but you will be fine with a 5 month bank statement (or even less) provided the statement is convincing enough to satisfy the visa officer of the purpose. I'm not sure I know what you mean by "hire purchase", whatever it means, does the bus business operate with documents? And NO, the agreement that you have with your bus driver is not a relevant document , only the documents that comply with revenue office business registration and taxing are valid in this regard |
chuksbogus: VICJUSTICE. I need ur help . i am psychiatric nurse, so i registered wit psychiatric nursing board in canada after which they sent me a letter to come and sit for a practicing licence in canada.as at then i just married in court , no child and was working in a private hospital where i was paid 60k and i used a sponsor but was denied based on 1: my present job condition,2 that i didnt convince d visa officer that i will leave canada after the expiration of my stay base on my no ties to my country. this was about 2yrs plus now.Your job is a desired job in Canada, you would be good to go for the visa if you fulfil other requirements. But if you are tto show evidence of finance, then you would have a very huge problem with the lodgements, and it won't help to explain that the money was accumulated by "contributions", such unregistered activity is considerably illegal in the west. But however, since your visa application is academically (with the intent to work in canada), you may only be required to show evidence of fund, but if the origin of funds are looked into, then it may result in refusal. My very brother is in your field in Canada, perhaps you'd like to correspond with him? |
no wonder you are so partial. Anyways there is no need for you to tell me what to do. I don't know you.
I'm not partial and i'm not in position to tell you what to do: i just felt uneased that the simple lady is being given hard time |

ella2136: No thanks, am sorry if I jump into ur post without reading, just stressed and I tot here is the best place 4 visa adviceI'm not sure i understand what you're talking about? Well, of course, here is a very good place to get live and free visa advice, but whether it is the best place for such advice is up to one's opinion |
ella2136: Hmmm so do u guys meant wit all this doc I have am not good to go,Neither Solomonwis nor I talked about documents in our previous posts... By th he way, documents are not the only requirement that qualifies one for a visa |
ella2136: Hello everybody... my name is Ella from Nigeria.. my boyfriend he is trying to sponsor me to UK wit visit visa he from Greece but base in UK for more than 10years nw and I have got some doc like Cac register business name, police report fingerprint, my new international passport1.5million in my savings act, hotel reservation, flight ticket goin and comin back, wit inviation latter everything is on my name and the same address, and he is comin down to Nigeria to to the UK embassy wit me soon, so plz friends wit all this doc I have and wit him they will grant me the visa successful... am stressYour boyfriend's presence will have little or no positive effect on you application, your personal circumstances are the keys. If you have a considerable job/occupation with reasonable salary/wages, if you've been in the job for over a year, if you can prove that you intend to leave the UK in due time, you would be fine |
you keep out of this. I take what she has to say as a personal insult as well.
I can't keep out of it, I'm personally acquainted with her |
zerriffic: Thank you, i intend to apply mid next year and should have 1 year employment record by that time. Hopefully, i would have a better by then. Is a tax clearance certificate a must under this circumstance? The revenue tax system is a very useful way that helps the embassy to judge the reputation, the credibility as well as the legitimacy of a company, a business and as well as an employee: therefore, the embassy does require visa applicants to have evidence of tax (revenue) compliance It is generally expected that a salary earning worker pays tax, it is logically expected that the taxes are withdrawn from your salary, and it is normally expected that your pay-slips show tax records: but if for any reason your work documents does not have tax record, then the legitimacy of your employer as well as the legitimacy of your job is questionable. |
zerriffic: Vicjustice, I intend to apply for a 5year U.K family visit visa sometime in the middle of next year and i want to be well prepared before then.Your N60k salary is not the highest of income, but if you have considerable savings with proper documentation, you might receive credibility due to your travel history and experience. But the problem is the age of your job: you have not yet earned enough paid holiday period to deserve your oversea travel. Your job is relatively too new, your chance of getting a visa with a job that is not up to one year old is very slim because, such a job is not yet sustained: it takes a year for a job to be entitled to the full rights of labour law protection. |
