timismum: Hi guys. Pleaseeeeee can someone answer this question please. I was on student visa in uk and everything went well and came back home after my studies. Now I want to go back BUT since I got to Nigeria I have been emailing the fco office of uk in Abuja asking them various questions concerning how I could get permanent residence and also some stupid questions as asked by others. Now do you think they keep log of my emailsRelax, they won't go to that extent of tracking and tracing you to your emails: trust me, they receive loads of junk emails on daily bases in such a way that keeping emails in record in not in their interest unless of course the emails are security threats |
sennykenny: You ve not replied me sir @justvisaNext time, kindly quote the post in question, it might have been difficult to know what post you are talking about. Anyway, it was replied to: check page 4 and see my post at 4:59pm On March 02 |

We want to apply for our 6 months old daughter and we are not so sure if she qualifies as a family visitor. My sister in law is inviting her as well. This means that an aunt is inviting her niece. Kindly help as we do not want to fill the wrong visa application form. God blessYour 6 months old baby is as qualified as you are. |

Pls I need ur responds thanks. If you are Female and you are changing your surname for reason of your marriage, there there is no problem with that, but if for any other reason, then be prepared to get yourself into an uphill battle that you might never win |
stevewale: @OP or anyone who can help; I once applied for UK student visas in 2007 with a different name and my finger prints were taken then. I was refused based on financial ground but didn't appeal nor re-apply since then. I've gotten a job and no interest in it anymore... My fiance is a citizen of US and we will be getting married dis December. My questions now is that if my fiance file for me after marriage with my real names and my new passport with my real names, is it gonna appear on US embassy that I've applied in UK before? And how long does it takes for spouse to get visa in US embassy? ThinksThe US embassy operates independently from the UK embassy and therefore does not share same database. However, it is very possible for either embassy to get immigration information from the other: so, it won't be a joke matter in the event that you're found out. |
otunbaneyo09: Thanks bro like how much balance I must have there? And what are the documents for canada tourist visa? The documents for Canada are main documents plus supporting documents, with other documented documents and your documented papers to support your documents amongst other documents in documentory documentation |
panafrican:Am I supposed to blame your ill attitude on your family history? |
Suchie: Hi Vicjustice,is like yu know so much abt this immigration thingy in every country.Well here is my question...Am a US citizen I live in the states with our daughter but my hubby lives in Germany.Am planning to file for him but I dnt really know how to go about it.We have done our introductions and our trad wedding but durin the trad wedding I couldn't travel back home because I was pregnant with my baby.i want to file for a fiancée visa for him so if joins us we will do our court weddin and white weddin down here.ls it a right decision or I should just go ahead n file for him as married.ThanksAs a "fiance", his visa application will be treated as one of privilege, and not one with rights: which means, you can not exercise your full citizenship rights to demand that he be given a visa. But it would be a different thing if he is your spouse. I recommend that you do your registry because you have to be legally (not traditionally) married before he can apply for a visa as your spouse. And in the mean time, it will be wise for both of you to maintain communications and keep record of your correspondences with healthy relationship: you would need them to prove that your relationship is one that is credible and is sustained. |
Temmy1980: Why do u talk of impersination and frudulent why are u so darft?may be u are frm a bush side of 9ja.There can't be a more daft non-entity than someone who comes to Nairaland to seek advice on "visa runs" for France. |
wapijay: @vicjustice,Welldone bro. I intend to travel to South Africa by June on invitation by an SA lady whom I'm going to stay with 4 the period of my stay. Do I still need a loaded account statement as she is funding my stay there? If I do,how much should I be looking at? On the sides,me and this lady haven't made any physical contact yet,but plan on formalising our relationship soon as I touch down.how well can this go through??pls HELP!You need to be financially responsible for your self and not be an adult dependant of another person |
otunbaneyo09: @ vicjustic weldon bro, pls bro I intend to travel to Canada for tourist in the next 4 months .bro I'm into building and I register my company Name with C.A.C bros what and what do I need to know before I apply and I open my bank account with my name not with my company and what balance I should have in my account .thanksOpening the bank account in your name is more preferable, it is a clear proof that the money (in it) is available for your use. |
sennykenny: @vicjustice...sir on ur posting u didn't include educational background I.e CV, or is there no need for submission of dat? ThanksYour CV is self composed and therefore has nothing to do with the embassy unless it is offering you a job or you are applying for a visa based on job related ground: yet, it is not a required document. |
Agbo2: Someone should pls advise. It depends on the hotel policies, most hotels would only keep reservation for a few days and then the reservation is automatically cancelled: you can't apply for for a visa with such reservation |
Lexaccord: Good day all d experts in d haouseAppeal may take several months (not days) to reach a decision, and yet, it is not possible to get a favourable decision if you were refused a visa for reason of money lodgement violation. |
justwise: You are about to waste your money, you will not get any job in France with visiting visa and i doubt the French embassy will even give you a visaYou are talking about a visa, but the guy is talking about "runs" which might involve even fraudulent means like impersonation or proxy etc. |
pjonesm: please i came from UK volountry in 2008 after overstaying for 6 months and i was hold by police and they collect my biometric data uk. When I arrived Nigeria in 2008 i stamped my passport that i spent two weeks in uk at the airport. But when i applied to renew my visa to uk in 2008. The ECO check my immigration history and found out that the i did not spent two weeks in uk because the police in uk had collected my biometric data after overstaying and discovered that that my arrival stamp in nigeria is false. so they hold my passport and gave me appeal letter. But i did not appeal because i knew i was guilty. But now i have been in Nigeria since then and will like to travel again. I have been admitted to University in Ireland, but i am scared may be the Ireland embassy can check my biometric immigration history with UKBA. I have also been admitted at one Holland University and i dont know if the holland embassy will also check my biometric with uk embassy. Please advise me on what to do.For Ireland, I'm 99.9% certain that your status with the UK immigration will be seen because Ireland and the UK now shares immigration information. But as for Holland, they will only know your status if they know that you have been in the UK. I hope you know that you are under a 10 years ban. |
welfare1: We are planning for easther break for just one week. Also the consent letter, should we type it on her mother letter heading paper then sign and datedExcept it is readily available and you want to use it, you don't actually need a letter-heading-paper to write such letter ,it is fine to use a hand-writing on a plain sheet: but it is very important to accompany such letter with a copy of the biodata page of the parents' passport and signed by both parents |
tayoTFC: @jt and vicHow many times do you have to post this particular question and how many times does it have to be answered? |
jt2010: Vic, I know the OP personally and apart from that, we both are issued our first time UK visa at the same time last year, while i have gone ahead to renew my to 2 years this January 2013, so advice is base on my personal knowledge of him which is similar to myself, that is why i said he should go for 2 years instead of renewing for another six month.I see. If the need for the 2 years visa is deemed necessary, then he could be given the 2 years visa. But if he is applying for the 2 years visa just because he has been issued a 6 months visa before, he may be disappointed. |
jt2010: Sir T,2 years visa is issued on necessity and not on sequences. So, unless if it is deemed necessary, it won't be appropriate for him to apply for a 2 years visa at this stage, long term visas are issued on the basis of necessity, for regular travellers who are constantly in need of visa renewal |
nezerem: justwise so please wat do I do naa.he might agree to give me like 100k or rather am expecting like 100k from ma easter jobs. Advice me on wat to do. But ma skool is a strong tie naa hv to come back n complete ma skool work. Kinda confused.but if I have like 400k n maybe someone pays for ma ticket. Watz ma chances. I really wanna use dis medium to open ma passport. Waiting for ur advice justwiseYou are not financially ready for a visa, I don't see how you're going to satisfy the visa officer that you're not desperate to migrate. |
nky19: @justwise.pls kindly advise me on this. I make abt 135k a mouth n I want to visits the uk as a general visitor,my dad is giving me 700k for d trip. My question is how do I lodge d money in my account without making d Eco feel am building my account for the trip. I presently hv abt 250 in d account n am planing to make d trip by june. Waiting for all advise plsssssss!I suppose you meant tourist visa. Well, as you are applying in June, I'll give you a valid advice. You may want to lodge the N700k into your account as soon as possible and then proceed to build up your account before the due time. Though it is expected of you to present a bank statement dating back to 6 months, but you should be fine with one dating back to 4 of 3 months (that is, if there is nothing questionable within the 3 months transactions). So, when the time comes for you to apply for the visa, you can present a post-lodgement bank statement, it won't reflect the 700k. Though, most people would not have any problem with a 4 or 3 months statements, but still, I can't guarantee that you won't be asked to provide a bank statement dating back to 6 months. |
ighojohn: Hello house,What category of visa are you applying for? By the way, you neither need a fax machine or number, tell him to send it to you as email attachment: you can print that out in internet centre |
mediaboy: Not angry, but an expression of disappointment at ur response. I was plain, and simply asked an honest question. Perhaps your motives were good, but the approach wasn't kool.My apology if i disappointed you with my expressions. I appreciate your politeness... |
Aduke02: In my own case, i moved out the money in my savings account into a fixed deposit account. Can i add my fixed deposit certificates to my account statements when applying for the visa? You may add it if you think that the fund in it is impressive enough to represent a home tie, but if you are thinking of using a fix deposit statement as a proof of financial support, i'm afraid the Visa Officer will judge that the money is not available for your use. |
oxatto: Are u a working class person? Or a student? That wants to visit canada? For most visa, you have to be a working class person, if u need more info can reach me on my cell# DELETED Or my email DELETED I will give u every information u need even assistance. You must be a joke: you failed woefully in your own visa application with ridiculous preparedness and now you want someone to contact you in private to get advice? But how did you become a person dropping your contact details in every post? You must be a broke thief |
mediaboy: Thanks. but Once again, the purpose was stated clearly. I wanted to visit a friend. My family is in Nigeria. if undergraduates that i met in the UK while studying for my Master's can be regarded as friends, then I guess I'll have to just list out all their names, in subsequent applications. Also, he never stated any issue with having a friend there or not, cos it's still consistent with my initial application that was granted in 2011.Your comment seems very angry, what have i done to make you an angry man? |
mediaboy: Thanks @justwise. The officer stated in the refusal letter that he is not satisfied that i meet all the requirements of paragraph 41 of the immigration rules.Have you now met all the requirements? mediaboy: I showed my bank statement and also another bank statement from someone stating that he was going to give me a certain amount of money. You really do think the Visa Officer is a fool to believe this crap? mediaboy: He also stated that I am yet to establish myself in terms of property, assets, career or family commitments.Exactly what any efficient Visa Officer would observe mediaboy: I have a few questions. If one is refused a tourist visa to visit a friend, (even though he has once studied in the Uk, without any immigration issues and stuff) can he apply with the same documents, a few days after he receives his passport, provided the corrections on the refusal letter have been made? You just said the right word "provided correction had been made" and in that case, you can apply (with the same documents) for the visa straight away. mediaboy: My question now is, What if i decided to get married in the Uk, to a Citizen whom i'm currently in a relationship with? Will the above refusal decision be repeated, if my circumstances remain the same? Note: I have proof that we've been together for a while (physically), email conversations, phone records, facebook chats, skype, and a few other means of communication. But, i thought you said you're applying for a "tourist visa", is marriage a part of a tourist activities? Anyway, you need to have the legal rights or privilege to remain in the country for more than 6 months before you can be eligible to marry in the UK: which means, you can not marry in the UK with a 6 months tourist visa. mediaboy: Hello, Guyz! Kudos to all who have been of help, on this platform. I was invited to the UK, by a friend. I'm not currently working. This is good to hear. mediaboy: 2. If he said NO in a previous application in the part where it says "Do you have friends or family in the Uk?" Can he say YES in the new application, explaining his initial error due to availability of the full details of the friend studying in the UK or extended family member?Nobody knows the full extent of the misinformation that you gave or how it was perceived or understood or by the visa officer, i expect you know the situation better. But i like to warn you to avoid what could make a Visa Officer judge that you are using deception because, it won't look good for you. |
Guys, I was refused a UK tourist visa in jan '13 on the grounds that (1) I have no family commitments. (2) I have a regular cash inflow but my outflow is irregular that's 1st month i spent 130k, 2nd month i spent 80k, 3rd month i spent 100k. So the VO says hes skeptical abt the way cash goes out of the account (3) I made a mistake on the hotel address stated. Though I had abt 1M in my acc statement so he refused me based on probability that I wont come back when i go to the uk and asked me to appeal (thats administrative review). I have mistakenly tampered the seal of the envelope for the review submission so i need to apply afresh bt my concern is abt my statement of account. Though I earn the amount inflow bt i could not control or maintain a regular outflow. Please guys i need suggestions how to defend this irregular outflow.
I think you misunderstood the reasons for the refusal. It will help if you present the exact contents of the letter of refusal for comprehension. By the way, what do you mean, you "tempered the seal of the envelop"? Anyway, administrative review may take too long a time, i recommend that you apply again after rectifying the reasons for previous refusal: meanwhile, it will be good if you provide your refusal letter to help you get appropriate suggestion |
