bangin: @everyone: Am 27yrs,Single,applied for family visa april last year to go visit my mom and sister (permanent residents) but was refused due to unemployment bla bla bla. As God will have it I was able to get a job around july with a good salary of abt 180k.You should be fine even if you can't provide the full account regarding your previous visa refusal, you just have to admit that you were refused previously... The embassy keeps records of it all. You should also be fine with your account balance provided the visa officer is satisfied with your employment circumstance and the inflow of your wages/salaries. |
econome: Flying was less deadly in 2012 than in any year since 1945, but that does not mean all airlines are equally safe.Just because an Airline company had suffered a crash or two, that does not make it a "world most dangerous airline" otherwise, Airfrance should be among the very worst: Just like some casanova having unprotected sex and not contracting the dreaded HIV virus, some airlines are dangerously violating Air Traffic safety rules and never get crashed while some good airlines like Airfrance are just being unfortunate with many crash records around their neck. Also, consider tge United Airline and American Airlines, these too have crashed recorded against them. |
Proudlygemini: Mr vicjustice thanks for the reply and the visa link. I have done some research and realize that if I apply for a spouse visa it means I should be ready to live in the uk for 2years and would be allowed 90days to travel out of the uk each year. Would it be better i apply as a family visitor instead? Pls what documents are required for that? This thing is beginning to give me serious headache lol, thanks for your help sirFamily Visitors are people who are visiting their family members in the UK... Like I explained before, you can apply as a spouse/family member of a UK/EU citizen even if you're only visiting. It's free of charge |

successfulman: Good day everyone.*You can always do your marriage registry even after a hundred years as long as there is no impediment against either of you. *The method of which you receive your salary is not acceptable for visa application. *You are not supposed to be judged by the standard of your brother's bank account unless (of course) you are depending on him for maintenance, and in that case, the £1.400 in his account is way too little: and besides, you can't be his dependant. *Taking your circumstances into consideration, i don't think you're prepared enough to apply for a visa. |

DRIZ: @ Justwise, Vicjustice et al. I cant find my international passport which is due 2 xpire in sept. 2013. I av only used it to apply for UK study permit visa in 2009 but was refused. Although am not ready to apply 4 any visa now should I go and get a new passport or wait 4 it to expire in sept? What are my chances if I apply for UK visa in 2014 but cant provide d loss passport with d new passport. The only evidence i have nw is dat i have d scanned bio data page & uk refusal stamp cos i was given appeal & also forwarded d pages 2 my uncle email. It is not a big issue, you can either apply for a replacement now or in the future. Know that whether you applied for it now or later, you will be issued a full term passport for 5 years, so, it doesn't matter what time you applied for it. It is also not a big deal if you can't provide the lost passport in your future visa application, what is important is your honesty (to state that you have been refused a visa before since the embassy will detect that themselves). The police report can not "support that your passport is stolen" since the Police does not have evidence of that, their report is only a formality that you reported your claim to the authority. |
in your inner mind its fun to make jest of what bother a Human like you, as I once said, Your information is so good when you give, but I still wonder why you haven't been the Moderator of the this Section but no I can see why you can't be a leader on this thread, he asked Question, if you don't understand it just asked in normal not a mockery way please.

@ VicJustice please go and learn more on how to approach Question and answer, see how a person like you asked question in a proper manner
Why are you bothered about my own manners, and how does my response to the poster's question become your own problem, or is there something we don't know about you? And by the way, is it hard to understand that if every meaningful contributor in this section is expected to be made a moderator, there would be (at least) 99 moderators here. Is that what the forum needs? |
Hoddion: Does embassy grant Visa even after the school one applied to have resumed like a week...i.e if one miss like a week or two after resumption of the schoolIt depends on circumstances, the visa officer has the power to make decision based on his assessment on the effect or impact that your late attendance would have on your studies, and to see whether you can catch up with the school activities or not: and ultimately, if your claims to want to study in their contry is considered genuine |
Benin city is a capital city and it has all the advantages in administrative aspect. It is at least 4 times bigger than Warri and has various districts and environs of choices. I'm very well connected to the city and I recommend it. |
She will definitely die if returned to Nigeria, she needs a miracle to stay alive. I pray she gets asylum on health ground. Sad |
though you have Good Information and I respect that, but what I hate you about is that you lack manners of Approach
Please, don't bore me to death, allow me to have fun: I'm entitled to humour without anyone dictating my manners. The poster asked a very broad and general question without specification of the kind of degree nor the country intended to use it in. There are different kinds of degree and some are more regarded in individual European country than others, and some are allowed to be "upgraded" and converted while others are not. And there are also various EU countries with different educational, institutional and qualification policies: besides, not all European countries are in the EU. Stop being a "HATER". |
saheedbadmus: Greeting my co nairalanders..please your help is highly needed here ..i applied for a tourist visa last december and just some days back i went for collection when i discovered i was denied visa due to some reasons likeYou applied for a tourist visa.., therefore, "this application does not attract the full rights of appeal". You are required to have the full rights of appeal to be eligible for appeal |
vislabraye: If she comes back after breaking up with you, the interest won't be as strong as before.Sometimes, "love" gets stronger (than it used to be) after passing through all that |
vislabraye: I have found out severally that it is very impossible for a man to win a girlfriend who has broken up with him. I've noticed that when her interest is down, you just have to leave. You can't really generalise it, these things are circumstantial |
OCTAVO: This is the ordeal of my friend. She brought home her fiance and her ‘Christian parents‘ resorted to consulting a Babalawo (Native Doctor) behind her back.Witch doctors do not see anything good in anyone, so, whoever solicits them is to blame |
Idowuogbo: Gush! Too many... At least 20.So, you mean you've dated that many? Na waoh |

queenataba: FELLOW NAIRALANDERS IN DUBAI PLS.GET IN TOUCH. AM NEW IN TOWN AND WANT TO MEET WORKING NIGERIANS WHO CAN BE OF HELP, IN TERMS OF JOB I MEAN.Does your visa permit you to work, if not, why bother about it expiring? That would be useless, it is only good for returning to Nigeria. I wish you best of luck though |
kclub83: is it possible for me to get a job in any european country with my nigerian degree? You mean a "degree" in Native Doctor or traditional pharmacy? |
oshiokeh: thanks for ur respond.... I will let u knw if they grant it or not....Any time, please. |
lovesavvi: @justwise, pls am planning to visit my brother during d easter as a family visit. I want send in my application by first week in march, hope is nt late against easter time? ThanksThough, it often takes less time, but It is wise to give them 6 weeks to process your application. |
oshiokeh: plz .... I apply for a uk visa and i just track my application nw and they told me is has been processed and ready for collection..... But wat baffle me most is my invitee told me they did not call her. I want to knw if the uk embassy can grant visa without calling inviteeYes, they can, especially if they have no reason to |
ralph2: i friend intends to apply for UK visa soon,he had earlier applied for visa in 2003 but did not turn up for second interview base on improper documentation.A false age was used then, now he has another passport with his real age, should he claim he has not appeared before since this is about ten years ago?Tell your "friend" to ask the question himself, he should know the story better |
Okontami: Vic my man, na u dey talk like this?? Haba. Remember that when your office sends you on an assignment, you can not reject. I have had cause to go to Sudan, my brother is currently in Iraq but he has been in Iran before, he was in Kazakhstan too. Imagine all these places. It depends on where you work most times. But, I no blame you sha, cos we Naija self no dey try. We fit go any where in the name of traveling abroad. You're absolutely right in the sense that assignment job can take you anywhere. But i was of the opinion that the poster was asking after the Nigerians "living" and working in Afghanistan, that is weird. |
Soon, someone would create a topic with Nigerians In Hell-Fire, Let's Meet Here. |
Proudlygemini: @vicjustice thanks so much for the break down. Which would you think is best choice for me, I know someday I'd like to settle in the uk but for now visit are fine. But wouldn't d fact that my hubby doesn't own a home in the uk be a prob? Pls can you also help me with links for the spouse tourist visa and settlement visa, thank you sir.Owning a personal house is not a requirement for a UK visa, what is required is to have accommodation available for you. There is no special link for your visa category, all you have to do is to select your category from the general link... Click here: http://www.visa4uk.fco.gov.uk |
Proudlygemini: Please nairalanders I need your advice on getting a spouse visa.If you're to select the category that best applies to you, you would have to choose Spouse/Family-member of an EU/EEA/Swits citizen: so, by default, you will be applying for spouse visa. I know your concerns, but understand that Spouse visa does not represent a Leave To Remain, you are a spouse and therefore, you should apply for your visa as one: remember that you'd have priority and you're not charged a visa fee. You are, eligible to either apply for a settlement visa or for a tourist visa under Spouse category |
