Yes I agree with you, hopefully they will do something about it. Although its not just on NL but on facebook and other social media.

Its more of an issue of internet culture and etiquette in Nigeria. Then more widely speaking, an issue of morality and respect for our humanity. Maybe because of the harsh environment we have found ourselves in, some people dont even realise that what theyre doing is wrong

But NL can still set an example since its a heavyweight and very influential
Yes, I agree. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

Hopefully NL will take the lead in setting this example.

Thank you. See the new Zealand case for example.. not one picture of the victims. Not one. Here na so so gory pictures. Not good. We need to adjust our thinking.
Exactly. Or even the recent crash that happened in Ethiopia.
I just hope that folks readjust their mindset and see a need to stop this.

The direction your criticism is pointed to is vague. You should make it clearer to put your point across. You should mention the management, or publisher, or moderators of the NL organization. They are the ones that can control and ensure that stuff like this doesn't appear on their site. Direct your admonition properly. If you are bothered about your fellow bloggers posting such images, you are wasting your time.
I was hoping you'd read between the lines that this isnt just for the Op/bloggers. However, maybe I didn't make that point clear.
My previous comment is applicable to Seun (owner of this forum), the Mods, and the Ops who posts images like this.

@Seun - please address this. It's getting really out of hand. Thanks

Thats what im wondering because im sure posting pictures like this is illegal in some countries

And things like this are what give oyibo license to see us as sub-human. We look dispensable, because we treat ourselves cheaply and badly

Even yesterday they were showing a picture of one sickly girl who fell to the ground after River State College of health was raided. She was in a state of confusion and her laps were showing. I was wondering, have they even asked for her permission? is it not embarrassing for her?

Please you people should stop it o
You've said it all! I think moderators of this platform need to discourage posting news like this on the forum.
No one is saying dont post a news, but please no need to include images like this.
It's just sad that people will still not change.

I had to look him up actually. Never heard of him as I've been away from Naija media space for a while. But I agree with you, I think people need to learn from the example you gave.
There's just so many things wrong with putting up images like this.

This is 2019 and I'm still amazed at how insensitive NL folks are.
Again, I'll save my long note for another day, but can we stop posting images like this?
How do you expect families of the victim to feel seeing images like this?
These images are engraved in the internet forever.
(Unless ofcourse the future proposed coordinated attack of bringing the entire internet down succeeds)

Take a leaf from the western world, or even some African countries, do you see them post screenshots like this in their news or media platform? You would rarely see that.

This is just too much and I hope one or 2 people on this platform can change and desist from this.

Travel › Re: Nigerians In Ireland ''Dublin'' Etc, Lets Meet Here by VickyRotex(f):
Hello Nigerians in Ireland,
I know this is a old thread cry but I have a quick question please.

[Please feel free to direct me to an active thread]

First, I never thought of going on vacation to Ireland however for the past couple of days this has been ringing in my head. So I guess, Ireland it is! cheesy

I would like to visit Dublin or some other cities in Ireland for about 2weeks this year. Since this just came up as a plan, I am estimating taking this vacation in Fall (September or so)

Now my questions are:

1. I was looking at Home Exchange website for ideas on how to plan for accommodation, can you advise if this is a viable site that's well considered in Dublin? Please suggest any other website where I can check for accommodation.

2. Ideas of places to visit for the 2 weeks time. (e.g. not necessarily going around Ireland, but maybe just some few places that I'll enjoy.) I don't like noise, so we can subtract that grin

3. Estimated cost for the 2 weeks period.

4. Ehmmmm I'll wait for answers to the above questions first.

PS: depending on the feedback I get, I can use up all my planned vacation for the year, instead of just 2 weeks.

Thank you in advance smiley

@dotcomnamename as owner of the thread, adding you incase you can assist with my query above.

Thank you!

Don't worry yourself just see her as she has moved on and stop paying attention to her issue to avoid any pain, you're lucky the relationship is still very new, go back to your normal life before you met her.it would help you.

She could be one of those lady who find love anywhere they travel to and pay attention to whom they are currently with, she may have ignored the call of others while she was with you just like what she is doing to you now.

When next is your turn she would come and beg you, but don't expect that from her for now because her antenna signal is not facing your direction now, hence you would not get her network .
Highlighted. Please I can't laugh cheesy cheesy cheesy

alright. Maybe I could say it's the neither here nor there season. But it seems to be a good time. How about autumn?
Yes It is actually a good time in Spring. It rains alot in Spring and it's not as hot as Summer.

Autumn is the same as Fall. It's like an opposite of Spring.
It's around September to November. It's when the leaves begins transformation. Leaves turn to various colours such as yellow, red, orange and they begin to fall from the trees. It's also a subtle transition to Winter as the weather begins to get colder during these time.
