Lawyer, thanks for the expose. Please what happens when a land search reveals that a land is under Agric acquisition with No commitment? I was told only Governor consent could be gotten instead of C 0f O.

What does the owner of this property do because he has already built his house on it. Infact, he resides there.

Thanks.

Politics2 Hours Shut Down Of Airport For Patience Jonathan Caused The Crash - Breaking by vicoloni(op): 6:58pm On Jun 05, 2012
Indication emerged early today that the airport was shut down for 2 hours on that fateful sunday because of the presence of Dame Patience Jonathan who was allegedly in Lagos for the baby christening of her PA at oriental hotel.

As a result of this development, the ill-fated plane and other private jets on air were forced to hover in the air. Perhaps the Dana plane would have crash landed at the airport strip if would have crashed at all.

So peeps, if this story is true, then President Jonathan's tears were afterall 'crocodile'.

Nigerians, please lets demand for proper investigation!

If i had not developed a thick skin to the numerous woeful stories emanating from every angle in Nigeria, your post would have ruined my day cos it has reinforced my belief that no one should expect anything good from Nigerian politicians either now or in the future.

PoliticsFashola Sacks Striking Doctors - Your Opinion On This Please by vicoloni(op): 6:12pm On May 07, 2012
Fashola sacks striking Lagos doctors

Lagos State Governor, Babatunde Fashola, on Monday ordered the sacking of striking doctors in its employ.
It was learnt that the doctors started receiving their letters of sacking on Monday morning.
Fashola’s action was in response to the refusal of the doctors to end their strike, which has lasted for over two weeks.
The doctors had initally embarked on a three-day warning strike last month and resumed work. But they proceeded on an indefinite strike on April 24 after they were summoned to face a disciplinary panel for participating in the three-day warning strike.
The demand of the doctors like in other states of the federation since September 2009 has always been for the Lagos State Government to fully implement the Consolidated Medical Salary Scale for all the doctors in the state.
CONMESS is the universal scale of remuneration for all doctors in Nigeria regardless of location or employer. It was put in place to curb brain drain and correct wage disparity.
However, the four-year labour battle between the state government and doctors in its employ took a new dimension on April 24 when all the doctors that participated in the three-day warning strike between April 11 and 13 faced the Personnel Management Committee constituted by the state government.
The Chairman of the Medical Guild, Dr. Olumuyiwa Odusote, alleged that the state government used police officers and armoured vehicles stationed at the Lagos General Hospital, venue of the sitting of the committee, to terrorise and demoralise doctors.
Also, the Chairman, Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria, Lagos State Chapter, Dr. Adebowale Adekoya, who spoke at the venue of the inquiry, had said it was a rude shock to discover that consultants and specialists had been summoned to face the panel with government threatening to sack any of them.
Adekoya said, “If they want to sack, then we say sack over 1,100 doctors that participated. An injury to one is an injury to all. Sack all of us. The doctors’ strike is not the first in Nigeria and none of those unions has been sacked. So we are waiting for Lagos State to make history. We are workers not slaves.
“How can consultants and even those in the emergency unit be asked to face panels when they are supposed to be attending to patients in critical conditions. All the time spent on issuing queries to all the doctors could have been spent negotiating with the guild to broker peace.
“The victimisation and terrorisation of our members who have participated in the strike must stop. We hear that some of us may be arrested at the panel but we want Lagosians to intervene with their leaders to prevent a war.”

TravelRe: A Thread For Travel Enthusiasts! by vicoloni(m): 2:06pm On Apr 11, 2012
Interesting thread. i visited 4 european countries a month ago namely paris, switzerland, amsterdam and italy. of all these places i enjoyed amsterdam most because of stuffs i could relate with. The famed sex museum at central station is a must visit. there you could learn how your ancestors did doggy and invented metal pant 'pata onirin'!
it may also interest you to know that marijuana and cannabis consumption is legal in amsterdam and the famed red light district is awesome at nights. then the locals are very hospitable and very willing to be of help.
switzerland is a very beautiful place you may wish to visit. nice place to get good immitation of expensive watches. my enjoyment of swissland was marred by too much cold.
how i enjoyed fiorenze in italy. a tourist attraction that play host to various international visitors. with its sceneric beauty, florence is a must visit for tourists who love picturesque scenes but be warned, your pockets will be bleeped!
