Please nairaland family help out!
I would try to make it short
My dad is a pastor but doesn't go to church or pastor any church, so last year I and our mother stopped attending a church because of their bad behavior towards us when our grandma was sick.
Now we started attending another church but I didn't want to attend the church, because I want to grow spiritually, now both I and my siblings are fed up with the present church.
My dad who we have been pleading with to attend a church has accepted to attend assemblies of god, but my mum wouldn't agree she's insisting on going back to catholic her maiden church.
Everyone has accepted the AG except my mother
I need advice on what to do to I make my mum agree with my dad so we can attend one church as a family
I don't want to make a costly mistake

So,I just came back from work this afternoon,my best friend (papa),just called me to show me what he bought in the salad market
And we have been trying to guess the name

Okay think of it this way. I dont know how old you are but think of the chickens and turkeys you have been eating at christmans, new year, easter etc. All these animals when killed, you just eat and forget.

But have you asked yourself one question. Where are their so-called spirits today? Very likely you believe they are gone and gone for good!

Then why do you think it is strange the same cannot apply to man? The fact that man is atop the food chain doesn't exactly mean we are more special than animals. In fact, animals are more special than us when you begin to consider their adaptive abilities.

All these religious books just try to make man feel above and superior to animals around us. But in the end, there's no justification. Just live and let live. I do not believe in hell but I am a good person still. You actually don't need to believe in all these things to put love first. It doesn't impact it at all.

By all means continue with your religion as much as you want... cos I still go to church once in a while. I keep my brains open; always wanting to learn more and hear from all angles. But don't be surprised at all if you find out there's no heaven or hell after you die. It seems like the right consolation for we humans -- our deeds and misdeeds -- but better bat an eyelid over it.

1. Anything can be defined as spiritual. Anything can be thrown around as spiritual.
2. The argument defeats itself. If you say the creation deserves a creator, that implies the creator deserves a second creator too... which creates an infinite loop.

Saying "it's better to live righteously believing Christ then finds out there's no hell" is also a gamble that can be flipped. What if God exists, yes, but the requisite for making heaven is a test to not believe heaven and hell exist? What if his plan is to truly test whether we truly do not believe and to rule out "eye-service" from the equation??

I just want to make two points clear to you,thou you sound nice but
1: There are spiritual components in the world we live in-the light and the darkness, darkness fights against light everyday, because it knows that whoever accept light has enternal value
2: It's foolishness per to say that one would behold creations and still say there's no Creator

—First time I scored 219, chose OAU back then but I failed Post UTME. Chai, I no fey forget.

—Second time I scored 298, passed both OAU and FUTA post UTME but had to go for FUTA because they resumed early and I choose a better course in FUTA.

He added a clause that his son can join the management of the firms and estate only when he graduates from any University with at least a pass and record less than 7police cases before he turns 28..

Even at that he can eventually take over the firm after joining management for minimum 4years...

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, on Monday, stated that pre-examination activities, including registration for the 2022 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination would start late due to forces beyond its control.

The board also defended its decision to enforce the National Identity Number requirement in the registration process.

The spokesman for the board, Dr Fabian Benjamin, made the clarifications in an interview with The PUNCH in Abuja.

“Most of the board’s pre-examination activities, including the 2022 UTME registration, are starting late owing to some circumstances beyond our control. We are, however, ready to do all that is necessary not only to meet up with the schedule, but also to make the 2022 UTME registration and examination the best so far,” he said.

The board stated in its weekly bulletin published on Monday that its decision to implement the NIN was a game-changer in the fight against impersonation.

Benjamin said, “The introduction of the NIN in UTME registration in 2021 by the board was a game-changer in the fight against impersonation and other examination infractions. It is to be noted that the decision to adopt the NIN was a very difficult one given the various challenges and opposition from many quarters to the policy.

“However, the board, seeing the many benefits associated with the deployment of the NIN, took the unpopular but beneficial decision, knowing that any departure from the norm would, more often than not, be met with initial opposition and rejection, and was, therefore, understandably undeterred in its chosen course of action.”
