Unfortunately, the killings in Sankera axis of Benue state is still on going. According to a post made on Facebook by one Ngutor Yakyur and comments that accompanied the post, in the last two weeks alone over 40 people have been killed in Sankera, yet I have not heard where the Governor spoke or condemn it. Not even a sympathy message to the victims.

Even the Governor's cyber hirings, such as Prince Tyodoo Livinus, Abraham Waroh, Dan Mashin and Pila Daniel AP etc who are from the zone and directly affected by these killings have deliberately refused to raise alarm over the killings of their own people, perhaps for the fear that they would no longer be given the 50k monthly stipends or call it pocho if you like.

What a lost and perverse generation!

Being a friend of Sankera, I make bold to ask; is it because this people are not killed by herdsmen that the Governor feels d need to stay silent on the matter or it is because he can not find a link of this killings to Pres. Muhammadu Buhari, hence the needlessness to talk about it?

Sankera people are dying on daily basis and unfortunately, the Government of Benue State seems to care little about it rather, they have channeled all their energies in demonizing Fulani people and suffering the state's workers, pensioners and over 85% majority of the general population of Benue state.

I elect to say that the Governor who's reelection slogan reads; "Reelect me, I know how to defend you" should not only defend us from herdsmen alone (in his dreams) but should also take channels TV and other media organizations to Sankera to show the World the destruction and killing of Ukum, Shitile, Ikyurav people and others. This the Governor must do because Sankera people deserves to live too.

A Dying Horse Must Kick Before Its Death.

I read with disgust a sponsored media article on Daily Trust Newspaper wherein the paper alleges that Fulani herdsmen have backed Rt. Hon. Emmanuel Jime, the Benue State APC governorship candidate.

Ordinarily, one would have have ignored the cheap and fake news emanating from Governor Samuel Ortom's led administration that thrives on falsehood and propaganda to survive but, for the sake of those who might have believed the cheap narrative, I wish to state that even though there is nothing wrong with Fulani herdsmen backing Jime to emerge as Governor of the state in 2019, but the publication is purely the handiwork of the Governor's media handlers.

In their desperate attempt to link Jime with Fulani at all cost Ortom's media handlers forgot that the Governor recently in Agatu LGA of the state, said without mincing words that there are INDIGENOUS FULANI in Benue state! So going by the earlier made statement proscribing some Fulanis as indigenes of Benue state, what is wrong with the purported endorsement? Again, have the media aides forgot that Mr. Garius Gololo whom Daily Trust alleged to have granted them interview via phone was the Governor's appointee on herdsmen Affairs?

Let us also be aware that the Ortom's administration is housing over fifteen (15) appointees who are core Fulani indigenes. They include Special Advisers, Special Assistants etc. So if Fulani people have no say in Benue, why would the Governor give them appointments to be part of his administration?

Again, one would wonder what Ortom's media handlers are trying to achieve by linking Jime with Fulani origin by all means, but what would one expects from the government that relies solely on falsehood and propaganda for survival having seeing it's monumental defeat in the next year's election.

I elect to say again without fear of contradiction that even though there is nothing wrong with Fulani herdsmen backing Jime for the 2019 election. However, I make bold to say that having worked with the failed government in the capacity of media aide, these were some of the briefs we used to get from the man in charge of media department who believes that the only way to get quick money from his boss is by cooking up stories capable of triggering him to release more money for the department.

The general public should therefore disregard the media publication in its entirety bearing in mind that the Ortom Government is like a dying Horse, it must kick before it dies. As you have seen the strong signals, the Ortom led government will finally be laid to rest in the next few months. Therefore, there is tenge tenge in the camp.
