giselle237: congratulations. it’s not a spouse visa tho. (for learning purposes only) It is a work partner dependent visa. Spouse visa costs way over quadruple the amount (you) paid and wont get sorted out now if biometrics was May 11. I'm happy to have learnt this. Thank you. |

Akinwalesuarez: Please I just want to ask you what the interface looks like when uploading photos, is it allowing unlimited photos or you put all the photos in one PDF file and uploaded once. Also is there like maximum size for documents or picture upload
Thank you very much I put all my photos on a single pdf file. I didn't notice any maximum. |

mcTrinity: You're right...
Go with your passport,of course. Then very importantly too, the TLScontact appointment email... Then the printout Checklist. If you paid for added value service, you'll need to print out that TLScontact receipt. Then, a copy of your passport data page (I did mine coloured).
I believe you uploaded the required documents when you were applying. Otherwise, you'll need to physically go with them and have them uploaded there ...
Thanks Thank you. Please could you list the required documents again, let me be sure that nothing is missing. |

mcTrinity: Dear Vikaosi, Finally I see someone that speaks same "language" with me..lolz
I've read some posts and I've been confused. Attached is actually my application. Cost was just $317, as the only fee, unlike the over $3,000 I've been seeing here for Spouse Visa. Really seem there are different versions of Spouse or Partner Visa. And I also remembered that when my wife and I were applying for it, we changed application 3 times. The first two links were strange and has so many questions and requirements, including the English results or degree and many other things someone has listed earlier here. But she was like, it can't be those, and later got the link we finally used from a colleague.
And decision was concluded within 3weeks. (Applied on March 29th, went for biometrics on April 5 at Abuja VAC, and got mail that Visa was ready for collection on April 27)
Collected my Visa just this afternoon, and by God's grace, it's approved.
So, it actually seems there are different versions of Spouse/partner Visa, for different reasons or benefits I believe
I also pray that those still awaiting decision would receive theirs soonest...with favourable decision. Cheers all I thought as much. With Maintenance ticked on the COS of your spouse, some of the requirements are waived. From your papers you pasted, we applied for the same type of visa. I paid $322. Please what documents were requested from you at the biometric centre Congratulations. |

Ray7878: Yes it could be different, ours is settlement/spouse visa. We ended up paying £3700 in dollars. I paid about £260 pounds. Mine is not settlement. My wife is a healthcare worker. |

Ray7878: Not sure how that happened but my spouse was asked for it. Our first appt was turned down due to this. But she doesn’t have a university degree though. Because if you have then it would not be a requirement. IELTS was not mentioned anywhere in my application process. And it is not in the checklist. Could it be that there are different types of spousal visas? |
Travel › Re: UK Spouse Visa/Appeal Process-part2 by vikaosi: 1:04pm On May 09, 2022 |
Ray7878: You only need your passport, photocopy of the database side of your passport and the tick documents letter to go with to TLS. Since you have uploaded all your supporting documents they wouldn’t need that from you at TLS.
Just make sure having the English IETLS or whatever it’s called isn’t on the list of your requirements. Thank you very much. I didn't see any test of English while applying. I guess it is not a requirement for a spouse visa. Thank you. |

Good morning. Thanks to everyone answering questions.
And hope I don't need evidence of proficiency in English because I never saw it anywhere when I was applying.
Please for my biometric capturing at TLS, do I need to come with the originals of all the documents that I uploaded? I'm applying for a spouse visa.
The photos I uploaded, do I still need to go there with them. Thank you |

royalmu: The first question is like Jamb question and besides no one is forcing you to pay it. You can choose Ikeja and still be happy. For the second question, you need marriage photos to prove the marriage actually took place. Thank you for your response. Please which will you advise, the VI centre or Ikeja. And for the photos, can I merge all of them as a pdf file instead of uploading individually. Thank you |
Travel › Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by vikaosi: 2:39pm On May 08, 2022 |
Please I have two questions:
1. Which TLSContact centre should select for my UK Visa biometrics? Is there any difference between VI and Ikeja? Why will I have to pay to use VI while Ikeja is free?
2. For proof of marriage, asides marriage certificate, which other documents should I upload. Thank you |
Travel › Re: UK Spouse Visa/Appeal Process-part2 by vikaosi: 1:12pm On Dec 31, 2021 |
Greenm5: 1. Marriage registered with any government agent - LGA, any court etc is acceptable.
2. It is highly advisable to include any further information to proof that the relationship is genuine and subsisting. Example pictures of the couple, messages, any document that shows the couple have lived together such as bills. Note that it is not a requirement that you guys must have lived together.
3. As above, LGAs are the most popular agency that conduct marriages.
4. General - once you start the online application you find out other supporting documents for the application.
5. Good luck! Thank you so much. Your responses were helpful. |

Politics › Re: Ibrahim Tumsah To Forfeit 86 Vehicles, Four Houses To FG by vikaosi: 11:15am On Dec 14, 2017 |
Hedonistically: Nigerian law enforcement agencies always rely too much on prima facie evidence and the self-indicting "explanation" or "confession" of suspects. This is laziness of the highest order, and is one of the reasons why corruption cannot be defeated at this time.
Granted, the director is clearly corrupt - as EVERY OTHER civil servant and public office holder in Nigeria is (including the so-called investigators themselves and the High Court Judge handling the case). But that is besides the point.
The investigators have not established a paper trail showing exactly how the director stole public funds and illegally acquired his assets. The charge that he could not "explain or justify" his wealth is absolute nonsense. To begin with he is not obligated by law to explain anything to you. Besides, you are not competent to arbitrarily decide whether his explanation is acceptable or not.
What you should do and must do is to investigate how he corruptly acquired the funds and how he illegally acquired his assets. Which contracts were illegally awarded or inflated? Which kickbacks were paid and how were they paid? Which documents were forged? Which government funds were unremitted? Etc. Etc. That's the hard work in criminal investigation, and you cannot shy away from such hard work! It is daft to just rush to court and say that somebody cannot explain their wealth.
Without this, I'm sorry the case before the court is watery, and the director and his brother will easily be acquitted even with an average lawyer. READ CAREFULLY: Sec. 15 of Advance Fee Fraud and other Related Offences Act provides: In a trial for an offense under this Act, the fact that a person - (a) is in possession of pecuniary resources or property for which he cannot satisfactorily account and which is disproportionate to his known sources of income; or (b) that he had at or about the time of the alleged offense obtained an accretion to his pecuniary resources or property for which he CANNOT satisfactorily account, may be proved and may be taken into consideration by the High Court as corroborating the testimony of a witness in the trial. Similar laws have this clause. |
Christianity Etc › Re: Do Money Rituals Actually Work? by vikaosi: 8:03pm On Sep 16, 2017 |
obamd: From verifiable evidence, exemplified by the "ritual killers" nabbed at ile zik in Ikeja, most People who kill and slaughter do so for organ harvesting. They then sell the organs to exporters.
This is not to completely say there's nothing called blood money or something fetish that vomits money. I'm just giving a very logical approach and scientific explanation.
It's no longer news that people need organ transplants daily and those who have direct contact with buyers mainly from India know that its a multimillion dollar business and Nigeria is a major contributor.
The last time,a bad containing kidneys/liver was labelled 25,000 naira. The tunnel had a refrigerator and other dissecting instruments in it. So it's clear the organ harvesting business is a thing.
Una wey get juju experience, come talk your own You made a nice point. But I don't think these are usually for organ transplantation. Organ transplantation needs a bit of technology. Most organs begin to deteriorate immediately they are out of the human body, that's in simple terms. A transplant will usually be done, even the organ harvesting in a medical facility and not a bush. |

Secondary school is preferable, especially if you teach maths, English, chemistry, or physics. You will get the opportunity of taking some home lessons. And if you want to take a job somewhere, having taught in a secondary sounds better, esp in your CV.
I won't even advise anyone who didn't study an educational course to teach in a primary school. |

My thoughts summarised:
1. This is victory for democracy, let he that is in power today know that one day he may not be there again. Nothing is permanent
2. Let those in Aso not get too excited, in 2019 they may join Mimiko and Aninih in retirement. People voted Aketi not necessarily party
3. You reading this, don't get too excited, unless you are the governor-elects's close relatives or in-laws. This is their victory. Ours come only with better roads, healthcare, education and security.
If you are not part of them, know that you are with us(the masses), just chill and pray for good governance.
Thanks |
