sammysmiles:
Wow,,,, am enjoying this....
Now,,, the definition of science is the intellectual and practical activity encompassing the systematic study of the structure and behavior of the physical and natural world through OBSERVATION and EXPERIMENT....
Now I want you to notice those two words in capital letter....
If you say man and apes have the same ancestor,,,, who observed and experimented it?
The fact that it is called THEORY of evolution shows that it was never and has never been proven that's why it's still called a theory....
OBSERVATION:
from fossil records as well as archeological findings, evolutionary biologist were able to create an evolutionary time-frame including migratory patterns of man.
From observing these fossils, they were at least 9 species of humans. Modern humans (homo sapiens) survived this long die to our incredibly enlarged and complex brains while other species such as Homo erectus and the Neanderthals which relied on brute strength died off from environmental factors and/or were wiped out by Homo sapiens (which is still carried out by modern humans in the form of genocide).

also, observe your appendix and coccyx (tailbone). what are their functions? next to nothing! why? cause they're vestigial organs that are no longer needed. our ancestors ate a lot of uncooked plant based meals, the appendix was used to break down cellulose. but over time we started cooking food and consuming more meat (more protein lead to bigger brains, you see how everything is connected?) and as such the appendix lost its primary use.

skin colour is a result of evolution also, over time the human body adjusted to it's environment. Africans were constantly bombarded with UV rays hence we developed skins with enough melanin to protect us. Caucasians didn't really need this so they have less melanin.

They're lots of observable examples, you just have to open your eyes and see smiley

EXPERIMENT:
if I start with this one ehnnnn, na me go tire grin. kindly look up Darwin's experiments on the Galapagos Islands.

it's true that it's a theory. but due to the massive amount of time between these events (evolution no be one week something) it's sometimes hard to fill in these gaps. All the same science isn't stagnant and as such people are always going to try and fill up those grey areas with new findings.

it's just human nature.

You think I don't know the whole stuff....
I would love some nice conversation....
You guys fall under the big bang theory... That I know..... If you say man evolved according the big bang theory,,,,then where does the big bang theory come from? But before any further discussion,,,, do you believe man evolved from apes and monkeys?
The Big Bang Theory is one of the most famous theory of the origin of the universe (although, they are others; Time's Arrow, The Immense Bulk, Steady States, etc).

The Big Bang Theory in its simplest explanation basically assumes that the universe was in a really dense and hot state before it started rapidly expanding in all directions (the suggested reasons for this are wayyy to complex to simplify abeg grin).

this theory seems to hold water due to observable changes between different galaxies (which points to the expanding nature of the universe) and also, the observable slowing down of this expansion (due to the effects of gravity).

there's still loads of things I skipped in this (extremely summarised) narration of the Big Bang Theory.

concerning the second question, "the whole man descended from apes" is a misinterpretation of the evolutionary process.

a more apt statement is "man as well as apes are descended from the same ancestor".

to answer your question, yes; it's clear as day that man shares some similarities with apes, but you should be aware that the biological branch of apes and humans are still far apart on the evolutionary tree.
the modern human is the last of his species; the Homo. (not homosexual o abeg grin)

I could keep on typing but I'll never be able to break it down into easier parts. it's a very complicated topic. trust me I know.

if you really want to know more you could read up on the subject. you don't necessarily have to believe it or anything.
it's just nice to have a working knowledge of the subject.

it'll be easier for you to discredit it thoroughly when you know more about it. grin
have fun

You are correct and This was where I wanted you to drive at..... You want to use scientific knowledge to explain right? Explain to me now using scientific knowledge how the first man came about.... Am all ears
grin

sorry bro, i'm not falling for this grin

you definitely know I'm going to give you a rundown on the whole evolutionary process and whatnot grin

but the truth is you're a staunch believer of Creationism (the whole 7 days stuff abi?) and as such no matter how I try and simplify man's evolutionary journey to you, you are still going to criticize some points.

you stick to your Creationism.
I'll stick to my evolution.

just stop oversimplifying how Man came to be.

You are not even intelligent.... So if I stay home throughout the day under my AC with my windows closed ,,,, and I see dirt on my skin,,,, where did the dirt come from?
did you pay attention in biology class my nigga?

skin cells die all the time and are left on the skin surface, the skin also secretes sebum (skin oil, incase you aren't familiar with the term).

over time (let's say a day) this mixture of dead cells and sebum builds up on the skin. if you use a white handkerchief or paper towel to clean it off it'll appear like dirt (normally it comprises of dirt, but due to your scenario of being inside all day I removed that from the mix).

it's easy to think this is dirt as in loamy soil grin but in reality it's not.

Most of the people here commenting and insult Pst Chris didn't even read to understand what he was trying to communicate. What you say about yourself affects you whether you believe it or not. It's one of the reasons why Africans of color seem to be retrogressive in their thinking. At the end, fools will still disagree(A fool is someone who ignores knowledge)
so going by his logic, if we change the way we refer to ourselves (i.e., as black people) to a more appropriate term (people of colour, coloured people, etc.) we would witness a drastic change in our developmental pattern?

now answer this like a living thing;
is that a logical train of thought?

God will look at your piercings and tattoo.

Don't question or mock God or the Bible. It's beyond your logic. Just pray to God to make you understand it and the Holy Spirit to reveal it to you.

A victim of rape , raped to death , will not enter heaven and will be burnt in hell even if she lived a good life, saved children and gave to the poor but did not accept Jesus but her rapist will enter heaven if he repents , believes in Jesus, asks for forgiveness the night before his execution after living a life which caused sorrow and misery to many .

Accept Jesus today or tomorrow may be too late please .

Depends on how you view it

Humans are different species from Ape but both are classified under "Primates"
Octopus, Squid, and Cuttlefish are classified under the class "Cephalopoda"

So if I say apes are a different species from humans but are in the same class as primates. Due to shared resemblance in our evolution.
Look at the Squid, The cuttlefish and see the resemblance in their evolution.
i'm aware they belong to same class.

i only had an issue with you inferring that cuttlefishes are a type of octopus.

be cautious of the terminologies you use to present your research; one wrong term can invalidate your whole theory.

Happy Researching smiley

Yes, not all species of octopus posses this ability. There are more other abilities being research ed up till now. There has also being a lot of medical breakthrough with research of octopus.
The black ink liquid secreted by a specie of octopus called cuttlefish has been found to cure cancer cells

a cuttlefish is entirely different from an octopus.

a cuttlefish is not a type of octopus.

the man in the second and third post is Paul Karson.

his blue skin was as a result of Argyria which is a condition caused by excessive exposure to chemical compounds of the element silver, or to silver dust.

Colloidal silver was a major part of his lifestyle due to it's unverified "medical properties".

hence his blue skin.

they mostly deal with music publishing so technically he's independent in the songwriting process... so i kinda get your point.
