As much as I'm not in support of truce breaking, out lecturers need to behave smarter than the government. There are better ways of pressing ones demand than an industrial action.

I love your idea! ASUU and lectures are very arrogant. They always take FG for granted over the years. They failed to be realistic with the current economic condition of the country and the world at large. They should have call off the strike and continue negotiations and adopting different tactics of showing their displeasure. Personally, it will pain me if ASUU collect the full 8month salary of them not working.
However,to trail on the path of pity, I will advocate that only 4 months salary should be paid to them. This is to serve as a deterrent to them that every action has consequences.

You'd notice he was trying to emphasize the contribution and social benefits of his investment in the brewery. He was trying to highlight that the investment has grown and is now a massive employer of labour. It was against this backdrop that he dropped the statement and I quote " ...has grown to an entity that employs 60% of Anambra people".

The context would not make sense if he meant 60% of its workforce are Anambrarians because it would portray a clannish impression and again it wouldnt showcase that the brewery is making any positive social impact as he was trying to demonstrate. If the brewery has only 10 employees and 60% of them are Anambrarians, this wouldnt qualify as a bragging point and is also not in line with the point Obi was trying to make in that discourse.

I'd simply conclude he goofed.
