Nigeria Police Force in Kano intercepts truck containing 17 sacks of thumb printed ballot papers in favour of the ruling APC.

With hours left to the presidential and National Assembly general election, the Kano police command on Thursday, February 14, said it has impounded 17 sacks containing thumb-printed ballot papers in Sabon Gari area of Kano.

The ballot papers, according to report by Daily Nigerian, have already been thumb-printed on the ruling All Progressives Congress box.

Barbed wires don't deter thieves because they are never turned on. A Friend of mine has a customised drone armed with 2 pistols and a taser. His house has several motion sensors that are also solar powered, once motion is detected, the drone hovers around the house and it's on-board artificial intelligence chip from NVIDIA is smart enough to differentiate an animal from an object and a person. Once an unauthorized person is detected via facial recognition technology, it warns you to leave the premises, afterwards, my friend gets a live feed and has the option of shooting the intruder with a pistol or paralys them with a taser. Pretty cool stuff.

"A young chap went to a soothsayer to inquire about the hope of his future.

Right before his eyes, the soothsayer drew two circles. One in white and the other in black.

He then put a millipede in between the circles, saying "if the millipede crawls into the white circle, your future will be bright and very great, but if it crawls into the black circle, then you are finished and doomed! No future at all!".

As soon as the insect was dropped in between the circles, it began crawling towards the white circle.

This chap was super-excited.

But suddenly, as it got to the edge of the circle, it turned back and began crawling away from the white circle towards the black one.

The boy watched as the insect progressively moved farther away from his desire to his doom.

Then, just when the insect got to the edge of the black circle, this chap stretched his hands, picked it up and quickly but carefully dropped it in the white circle.

The soothsayer was in shock, never seen anyone intervenes in his own matter, watching all the while, asked the chap what he did and why he did what he did.

The boy smiled and simply replied by saying "I cannot sit and watch my destiny go down the gloom doom! While I can still do something about it and to change its course. My destiny is in my hands".

Citing the possibility of violence in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, US president Donald Trump has deployed 80 troops with “appropriate equipment” and aircraft to the nearby Gabon, he informed Congress in a letter.
The first members of this US contingent arrived in Libreville, Gabon on January 2, Trump said in a letter sent to Congress on Friday. They are supposed to be “in position to support the security of United States citizens, personnel, and diplomatic facilities in Kinshasa.”

“Additional forces may deploy to Gabon, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, or the Republic of the Congo, if necessary for these purposes,” added the letter, which Trump said was in line with his obligations under the War Powers Resolution (Public Law 93-148).

The troops will remain in the region until the security in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) “becomes such that their presence is no longer needed.”

Elections in the DRC took place on December 30, but the outcome has not yet been announced. The government of President Joseph Kabila, which is backing Emmanuel Ramazani Shadary to succeed him, says the elections were free and fair.
