Jobs/Vacancies / Re: I Now Understand What Life Means by virginboy1(m): 5:05pm On Sep 26, 2022
CaveAdullam:
1. The educational system operating in the world today is for political gains. The government is building many universities and creating many courses of study not because they want to help the masses but to create a system that can accommodate everyone, including the poor just to siphon their money.

2. That's why after graduation students are void of any knowledge or skills that are applicable in reality.

3. School ought to be the place to gain the "4 years, 5 years, 6 years experience" employers and organizations of labor ask for, however, those years are wasted learning almost nothing about their respective work fields.

These employers or organizations still train their employees for 6months or more to make them acclimatized to the workplace. So, if it takes employers to train hands for the job for about 6 months - 2 years, why do they waste their undergraduate years studying what's not necessary?

4. Some will "say school is not supposed to provide you a job, think out of the box". As true as that statement may sound, it simply shows how the educational system is so porous that one can't even come up easily with an innovative, scientific, or economic idea in a short time after leaving the university to help create a source of livelihood for themselves.

5. The essence of University education is to provide what's necessary and can be effectively used in the world. The curriculum of most courses of study is vapid, except for STEM fields, however, which still involves maneuvering your way around it.

6. The shock always comes after graduation, especially for those in the third world and developing nations. The reality sets in and like the eureka moment: you just discovered that you wasted fruitful years exchanging time for what's not profitable. In developed nations, the shock is easily absorbed and the poor curriculum of academics oblivious to the masses because the economy is prospering.

7. The system is rigged, the best is to sit down and maneuver ways to play the game too to your advantage.

8. You play the game too by learning skills that are valuable, long-term, and proficient.

It is not easy learning a new thing after you have dedicated fruitful years to learning illusions, it is painful and stressful, coupled with the uncertainties of life. But this is what playing the game involves - going back to the base, the square one, with good strategy and movement towards the goal.

9. This may seem like ridiculous advice: if you are jobless, don't look for a job, learn a valuable skill.

But how can one sustain till learning a skill? Except you don't have anyone to sustain you at all as you are learning a skill, then look for a job, but you must create a time to learn that skill because that's your only means of ascendancy except you are no longer ambitious and lose touch with your goal.

10. There is 50% free information online to kick-start you, you must put in the work and dedicate time, and you'll have a higher chance of success. Even success can't be guaranteed.

Thanks.

Number 9, very important. Thanks for always sharing...You are a great guy

My little experience in tech space has made me realise it's the big deal.

So I went out to learn Data Analysis to up my skills, I am now good in excel and Power BI. I haven't made any money from Data Analysis yet but I'm still working on getting there.

What I need now is a mentor in the field who can show me the way. In case there's anyone willing to help, I'm a fast learner and you won't regret having me.

Meanwhile, the money my classmates have made from 3D animation, I don't think I have seen any government worker earning like that. Just his PC costs him almost 2 million. He owns 2 luxury cars with his own duplex. And a young guy of 25yrs at most....
Modified: Any tech guy that works for Nigerian firm is either ignorant or plain stupid. So the issue of underpayment is out of it.
Thanks for this insightful message.

I also want to go into data analysis.
I am currently learning power BI visualisation.

But please, what are things things in excel and Power BI. One must know to an extent

We're talking about a $4 trillion industry with over 50% growth expected between 2020 and 2025. And guess what? It's not just about coding. Tech jobs are everywhere—from software development to user experience design and project management.

This means there will be plenty of opportunities for people who want to start their career in this field.

But where do you start? What steps should you take? How do you get a job in tech?

Software Engineering
- Manager level jobs including Technical Program Manager, Product Manager, Software Development ( / Engineering) Manager
- Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning
- Computer Security
- DevOps engineer
- Data Science
- Big Data / Data Warehouse
- Website Development
- Quality Assurance
- Database Administration

If your head no reach to learn any of the above, then focus on

- Digital Marketing / Sales / Communication (with expertise in systems like HubSpot, Salesforce)
- Graphics / UI UX Design
- Project Management (with PMP certification)

Others
- Teacher (must know or have a certification in an in demand subject like "English as a second language"
- Virtual Assistant (will need multiple skillsets in writing, communication and organizing tasks)

- Content Creator
A content creator is usually focused on conceiving and creating content that promotes that promotes brands and generates leads and visitors. It's more branding/marketing focused. A content creator can be employed full-time or work freelance for various organizations. The distinction between content creators and freelance writers can be a bit blurry though different.

- Freelance writer / Editor
Probably one of the easiest jobs to get online for a start. A freelance writer is knowledgeable on various subjects and writes content based on the need of the client. To differentiate this a bit from content creators, a content creator has to be involved in generating ideas for content that promotes a brand and generates leads, while for a freelancer writer, the client in most cases brings the idea of what content is to be written, and then hires the freelance writer to research and write the content. This distinction is somewhat blurry though as content creators can also be freelance writers

Thanks For this

Family / Re: Tips To Avoid Embarrassment And Unnecessary Pressure In Life by virginboy1(m): 7:35pm On Sep 20, 2022
CaveAdullam:
Good points.

In addendum:

1. Don't be overly optimistic. To avoid depression work with quality knowledge and reality.

2. Life doesn't always go as planned. You don't need to lament over this till death, it is life for you. Create options. Even your options may fail.

3. Don't live to please anybody. They will not come to your rescue when you fail.

4. Don't be ashamed to work yourself out of shame. You will be ridiculed, mocked, and henpecked, but as far as you learn something, gain something and make little progress you'll become better and even more than them.

5. Do good with no expectation of reciprocity. However, pen down the names of the ungrateful.

6. Everything that seems complex will become simple only if you dedicate time to it. So, if a task seems daunting and challenging, set a good time for it and repeat it until simple.

7. I'm not a fan of "saving". However, save from your abundance. Don't deprive yourself of good wear and food because you are saving for the future. Learn from King Pharoah and prime minister Joseph. They saved during abundance.

8. You may die tomorrow, so don't deprive yourself of any good today. Refer to 7 above.

9. Character, integrity, honor, intelligence, and wisdom are the exceptions, but they are the beauty that sets you apart.

10. You can easily judge people's character by using yourself as a yardstick, but this can only be possible if you appreciate truth, light, and knowledge. Refer to 9 above.

11. Empathy and sociopathy come from a place of experience and self-reflection. Refer to 9 and 10 above.

12. Respect people. But take note of the humble and arrogant. Refer to 5 above.

13. Women need protection and provision from both men and society, including men themselves - funny right? Even men want to be provided for and protected. But as an individual you must develop yourself to the extent you become less dependent on people. This will grant you leverage when they disappoint you.

14. Embarrassment and unnecessary pressure are because you depend more on people. Learn to depend less. Refer to 2 and 13 above.

15. Avoid hoods that are prevalent with crimes and animals. You don't need to act like James Bond to fools and criminals, because they are always in groups and will embarrass you. Better to avoid them.

16. Build strength and energy because a day will come when your strength is needed. Refer to 15 above.

17. Don't argue with the less intelligent. They will embarrass you with their dumbness and waste your precious time. Refer to 9 and 10 above.

18. Never be caught looking tattered and rejected. With the little you have, tend to look good. Humans fall for the halo effect; you don't know who you will come across as you step out.

19. Respect family. Respect elders. Respect quality friends. Among them are some of the people that may come to your rescue when situations get tough for you. Don't say " I don't need them", it is foolish to talk.

20. Live according to your resources. Avoid greed. Aim higher. Refer to 3 above.

21. Insist to work for them rather than beg them. Embarrassment is minimised when there is an exchange of value. Howebeit small, strive for mutual relationships. You don't want the roof of your head when the cloud is dark right?

It is time to break this stream of thoughts...

Thanks.

1. Lions are called the king of the jungle because Tigers (and other stronger formidable predators) do not live in the jungle. In other words, the people who look down on you do so because you haven't assumed your throne and shine in your glory. Go be a king in your domain.

2. Resurrect your inner b!tch. The world is a jungle, and being Mr nice guy will not take you far. The unrelenting you are to exhume your inner b!itch, the farther you go.

3. Formal education will make you a living, but self-education will make you a fortune. True life's education is experienced outside the classroom. know the difference between to be schooled and to be educated.

4. Being harmless and incapable of inflicting harm is not a virtue. It is a weakness. The ability to inflict an untold amount of harm, but chooses not to, is virtous.

5. If they stand behind you protect them. If they stand beside you, respect them. But if they stand against you, destroy them.

6. Be aware of your vices, and do not let it destroy your life. A typical vice for men is philandering, negative aggression, greed, alcoholism, etc. For women, it is prostitution, chaos, vindictiveness, narcissism, and dissatisfaction.

7. The antidote to suffering in life is responsibility. pursue what is worth dying for, and every other suffering you pass through shall be insignificant.

8. Never be afraid to walk alone, instead be afraid to walk mindlessly with the crowd. Your mind can be your greatest asset, and your greatest liability, depending on if you nourish it well. Be a solitary Tiger if needed, not a mindless sheep.

9. As a man, your superpower lies in being masculine, and for women, being feminine. Understand what this means and accentuate it to the best of your ability.

10. The ability to express yourself eloquently is power. The power of speech can move mountains, bring down standing armies, and give meaning to life. Be eloquent. The content of your speech speaks more about the speaker, as opposed to the subject. The sophisticatedness of your mind is expressed through the content of your words.

11. The weaker you are, the more fight you will get into. The stronger you are, the less fight you will get into either. To thrive is to be tough.

12. Anyone that loves you in the truest meaning of love is your family. Love unites people not blood, though love coming from blood relation is thicker. To understand the true meaning of love, substitute the word ''love'' with sacrifice. Love without sacrifice is not love, it is infatuation.

13. the natural mandate is that anything valuable comes from the inside. If an egg is broken by an outside force, life ends. If it is broken by an inner force, life begins. Do not let external forces suppress your inner voice.

14. Approach every human relationship and connections with a sense of mutualism, conversely, do not entangle with someone who does not understand this timeless rules. Mutualism is growth, parasitism is death. The tree provides shelter for the bird to nest, and the birds help the tree by spreading its seeds to fertile ground, to germinate.

15. The gentle walk of a tiger is not foolishness, but strategic. In life, know when to give up, preserver, and what deserves your energy and resources, to avoid falling deep into the "sunk cost effect".

16. Have boundaries. A hen is harmless, but as soon as it hatches, its mouth used for eating becomes a weapon to defend and protects it chick, regardless of the aggressor's size.

17. At the very basic, humans are animals. Our behaviors are merely a reflection of our social conditioning (religion, culture, tradition, etc). Know how to alternate between your animalistic nature and your social conditioning to advance in life. For example, understand what attracts the opposite sex from an animalistic perspective to be successful in the mating game, and know how to employ the proceeds of your social conditioning (honesty, civility, professionalism, etc) to get ahead.

18. Do not go through life, but 'grow' through life. Your daily activities should compound into something bigger. Just as a seed becomes a tree, and forest in time, your life should follow the same path. Time is the only precious thing you have. Sadly, most people learn this too late.

19. In this capitalistic world, money is your best friend. Try to make enough of it. You only live once, so live it well.

20. Your health is paramount. You are what you eat, so eat healthily. The surest way to go ahead in life is to look good. Humans are wired to treat good looking people well, and it is a sure way to pass down your gene, as the opposite sex will find you attractive. Attraction is a powerful force, and eating healthy with proper exercise can give you that, regardless of your financial status.

It happens this way simply because men are not aware of the power they possess. Women know and use theirs.
What we have these days are men who think with their balls instead of their brains.
You see a man spend his money, time, effort, energy just to sleep with a woman for just few minutes, after which he feels on top of the world. To him, he actually won!

Men should have sense. A woman talks and u support her even when she's wrong, ur fellow man displays his oratory skills and u begin to misbehave.
A woman insults a man and u foolishly defend her, obviously cos u think she's gonna give u d cookie, mumu.
A woman posts one rubbish thing online and u run to like and comment, but a guy posts a wonderful content and u can't click like.
U help a woman even when she didn't ask for help, but u can't even lend to a fellow man.

1. Women will do anything for money.

Lazarus's case and that of the rich man is even better, women will eat both the crumbs that falls from the table and allow the rich man's dog eat them too.

2. Men fear power + physical dominance. If you got one or both, your respect will heighten. And true on a large scale.

3. Children only keep shut when you stand by your decision and accompany it with a rod. Like women, they love going against boundaries assigned to them.

4. How far you will go in life is dependent on the available knowledge or information you have or able to access.

5. Nobody cares about you, but you still end up thinking about how others see you. Human evolutionary instinct wants to ensure that you're not going against the rules of the tribe.

6. Everyone desires to help and show love, but when the burden is placed upon them they run away. These are weak people, the spectators and critics that lacks good sense of judgement. They are accusers and mere talkers.

7. Born into a poor family, a poor nation and a poor background sets you up for monumental failure. Hence, religion becomes a comforter and escape mechanism because chances of success are ultra slim. So, anything you do in such situation to at least upgrade yourself should be seen as success even though it can't be categorized as the norm. You tried my friend.

8. With wealth, influence and power, you not only break the rules, you make the rules and break it as it pleases you.

9. There are no morally wealthy + powerful people. Every powerful and wealthy man plays unsuspicious immoral game behind closed doors. When caught they rationalize it to mean a virtuous act. Or, pretend nothing happened.

10. The poor desires to be rich, and when he is unable, he castigates the rich and calls wealth vanity. Refer to 7 above.

11. Nobody is coming to help you, the few that will do will only point the route to you, you must do the work for yourself, don't expect anybody to do it for you.

12. People are selfish with knowledge because they think once it goes viral they will lose their power. And this is true. It is then left for you as an individual to go down the rabbit hole and and pursue knowledge. Refer to 4 above.

13. Life is not guaranteed in the next hour, assume you'll die sooner and that may help you come up with productive ideas and walk towards it.

14. No big deal being happy or sad, life will definitely take different turns on you, just be prepared and conscious about it.

15. Family is key. Your friends cannot be compared to your genetic line. Though, some friends has proven to be brothers.

16. Respect everyone. Don't view anyone ignominously, as they might know what you don't and can help when you don't expect.

17. Be kind, but always make sure you pay everyone with their own coins. This will ensure they know that in life, nobody has the monopoly of being kind, frugal, arrogant or prideful. Only the wealthy has such opportunity. Refer to 8 above.

18. Stay focus, continue to try and progress. You may experience a breakthrough, but in the case that you didn't made a significant breakthrough, just know you tried.

19. Majority of humans has died and many will die without achieving their dreams. Take heart.

20. Use your money to take good care of yourself. But also know that being selfish is for a short time, when you die another will inherit all your possessions, and he may possibly be your enemy.

21. Do what makes you happy is an escape mechanism to please your indulgence and never makes you want to feel guilty about your reckless behaviors.

22. If there's a process follow it. If it is long be patient and follow, and same if short. The more you try to short circuit the process, the longer you stay there correcting what you ought to have done in the past.

22. Life doesn't go as planned, always ensure you have alternatives and fallback. Don't depend on mere hope, faith, wishful thinking and prayer. You are not different from other beings. So, don't think your case is special.

23. Respect is only given to the wealthy, high status and powerful because humans are myopic, they judge you by your cover. A poor wise man is an object of mockery to the masses. Refer to 1 above.

24. Suffering is part of every process, make
good use of it.

25. The majority of people that are announcing their helps are only trying to exploit you.

26. If there's something to lose or gain people will comply. Better to use incentives than appeal to emotion or force.

27. Only outliers help genuinely from their hearts. The majority will not help if they have nothing to gain from you. Refer to 26 above.

28. You are not in control, independence or democracy are words to make you feel in control. The government and the wealthy men are the people in control. Refer to 8 above.

29. The wrong side about religion is that its adherents take every allegories and metaphors as facts. Meanwhile, when lessons are extrapolated from these religious tales you will find out that man truly needs religion. Refer to 7 above.

31. Experience is the best teacher; if you are advice against an act you'll continually regret not taking action. However, some experiences comes with painful scars. Be careful.

32. Everything you say or know is true. However, truth is what has proven itself repeatedly and not void of empiricism and reality.

Good day, English Prof.

1. I have been reading your comments in regards to the matter on the ground. You made same arguments some months ago. Your consistent take on the matter is that "women are less in the tech field because of misogyny". And of course, I disagree.

2. IQ/intelligence is always a topic people shy away from or reframe as racism when they are being classified by the bell curve of intelligence. This is always the case when people believe that man is " tabula rasa...his mind is a blank slate".

3. Both genetics and environment contribute to the intelligence of every individual. According to quality research and data with consistent similar results based on the bell curve of intelligence:
A. Category of people that are dumber in a population are men and they fall on the left side of the curve.

B. Women are slightly higher than men in average intelligence.

C. Category of people that have a higher intelligence in a population are men and they fall on the right side of the curve.

4. The military is not about size per se. Strategic military planning is required for winning battles. Men have a higher IQ than women, hence, they are assigned to be generals. Size matters but intelligence matter more.

5. Not only that, men are less neurotic than women. Men are more disagreeable than women. With a constant pumping of testosterone, men are strong and aggressive on the battlefield. Women are far on these qualities and for that reason don't get involved in tough military operations.

6. You call it misogyny because women are less in the tech field. Can you also say it's misandry when most times men are forcibly conscripted? Biology matters too, not just environmental influence.

7. The same principle applies to STEM fields. Women are less in those fields because those fields require higher IQ. Women are higher in neuroticism and can't manage the boredom and stress that comes with it. It is not a result of misogyny.

8. There are STEM programs that have created enough opportunities for women to participate without passing through the essential rigorous training for admission because they want more women, yet, many still admit fewer women.

9. Many companies now have allocated slots for women. No allocated slots for men, men must prove themselves, but in these companies, you just need to be a female and you will resume work the next day. This kind of policy is in place because they think evil patriarchy and misogyny are on top of the roof. Meanwhile, it is a matter of biology.

10. Angela Yu is a senior web developer, but how many women can you count before you get to 100 men? Few.

11. Nobody is a gatekeeper in the STEM field, prove your worth and you will be liberated. Ditto for other fields.

12. Environmental influences also contribute to intelligence and the well-being of an individual. However, intelligence is like a seed, it has the inherent capability to grow(genetics/biology), but once it is placed under the soil and other environmental factors interact with it, it grows.

14. If women study hard and put much attention to whatever field just like men, they will make waves. If dumber men can do it, women on average intelligence have a greater advantage.

15. Women are less in number in STEM fields not because of misogyny but because of their nature and biology.

Thanks.

CaveAdullam:

1. Be covert or overt with your sexual dealings with women, however, as the situation demands.

2. Women are not scared to demand commitment, so don't be scared to demand sex or sexual-related acts. In the absence of sex, make sure she works for you, by all means, be on the other side gaining or make it mutual.

3. Society doesn't clamp down on commitment because sex is deemed morally wrong outside the marriage jurisdiction. The exploitation of a man's commitment is not seen as a crime but consensual sex is deemed evil.

4. I agree promiscuity and immorality ruin a society. But not until, the essence of a sexual relationship or relationship is valued, the decay will continue.

5. If women who are the gatekeeper of sex don't maintain their value men will not help them. Ditto when men don't value their commitment - they will be exploited.

6. The reason for a sexual relationship is to create a bond that will eventually forms a family that will contribute their share to civilization. If it is misconstrued for just sex, parties, and money you don't need to blame anyone...sex is not a crime if it is consensual.

7. There's nothing abnormal if you decide to remain celibate. But don't cage yourself when you know you want women.

8. You can't be moral about sex. But in cases where you're not interested in sex, there must be a value exchange. Don't waste your time, attention, and money on women who are not interested in you. Don't allow yourself to be friendzoned. Refer to 2 above.

9. Exchange sex for sex, and value for value. How you play both cards is left to you.

10. You will not fvck all women, and neither will you fvck all the women you're interested in. Don't make a mountain out of it. Deal with women that have a genuine interest in you - you'll fvck most of them.

11. Don't get yourself depressed because of women. Let every troubles and worry that come with them vanish with each sunset and passing of the day.

12. Understand women. Love women. Have fun with women.
