“We’re not rewarded for being well behaved.” History has taught us that we do not learn from experience....

When you say breaking >>> one expects to see something that is truly breaking>>> Perhaps, a 360 degree reversal of the status quo >>> And not just an affirmation of the status quo>> There's absolutely nothing breaking about these figures! |
These days, there are no random things (such as what you might decide to call love). The groom looks so young.... Whats in it for him .... HML.. |
Orikinla:Lucasbalo has tried to school you... but you just don't want to learn. What difference does it make directly or otherwise in Nigeria or to Nigerians if there are a million slum in America? You keep delving into unfamiliar waters. Someone could still come here and allege that your role models (Dangote's, Otedola's) amassed their wealth simply by courting the powers that be!? Your definition of 'slum' in Nigeria simply wont define 'slum' in America. Your definition of 'poverty' in Nigeria simply cant be used to define poverty in America. Why? cos these things are relative. Whether there are slums in America or not should be least of your worries.... The 'slums' that have been giving you the creeps in America are FUNCTIONAL in every sense of the word. Functional Power Supply. Functional Security. Functional Road Network. Functional Water Supply. Functional Educational System. Now, can you say same for most CITIES in our part of the world? |
Point a gun to his father's head... Faster this way...Just joking! Why would his father hoard such info from him? 1. He's trying to protect his child (from something very specific). 2. He's hiding something unpalatable about his (past, present or even future) relationship with the estranged mother. The father believes that the son is still a boy, not yet a man hence his response " the time to unveil things is not now". Your guy has to "EARN" his father's respect by way of some very specific actions, inaction, and / or responsibility. Until then, the father will attempt to protect his baby from the unsavory information he is requesting. Way forward? Your guy, must, in some very specific way earn his father's trust and respect. The father has already set some pointers and triggers. Until he feels in his guts that his child is absolutely READY and adequately PROTECTED, he wont bulge. |

May God grant all f them their heart desires ..Amen! |
depressedgurl:Right about time you begin to smile at your self because you re beautiful. And let no one, no opinion tell you any different. The thing I learned about life is that most people are only gona see your flaws but not your beauty. Its sad but true. You might be imperfect to most but you're always going to be perfect for the heart that God has for you. You have to understand that there is somebody somewhere at some time that is going to find something that is wrong with you. But the something wrong that they find could be the something right to the hearth that is searching for you (me). You might be too big or too small, but you re the perfect size for the heart that is searching for you. You might be too dull or too smart, but guess what, you have the perfect personality for the heart that is searching for you. The first step to being unhappy in life is trying to please everybody else. People are different and have different tastes but never let those differences make you insecure of who you are. Could you stop spending so much time and energy facing the mirror...Judging , bashing and critiquing yourself? Please? I want you to start spending the rest of your days loving and appreciating yourself. You're beautiful cos GOD said so. And that's all the confirmation that you need. There will always be something about you that's not right.... for someone who is not right for you. Your flaws are perfect for the heart that's meant to love you. Find someone who will accept you for you (that's me). Never forget that. Stay beautiful. |
He prefers slim girls. But you re chubby (and he is still seeing you. But why?). You refer to him as your boyfriend (Does he also see you as his girlfriend?). You mean he prefers slim girls and he saw that you were chubby and approached you? (Or did you just made it up cos he has only dated slim girls?) I would really appreciate if anyone could recommend something they have used that really worked?I recommend you spend more time loving and appreciating your self. Admiring your body. It works baby. JUST LOVE YOUR SELF FIRST BEFORE DEMANDING LOVE FROM OTHER PEOPLE.. Right about time you begin to smile at your self because you re beautiful. And let no one, no opinion tell you any different. |
You're probably a bad student of history ... I am not a ‘professional historian’I guess you should stick to what you know... The tragedies of the 1960s are gone.Where did they go to They're staring you in the face like everyday and you might have chosen to ignore this subtle truth, but it's there. If it wasn't there, there would be no need for this particular discussion. And that has always been our greatest undoing as a country. We tend to classically ignore history. We do not only stop at that, we also try to rewrite history. What you foolishly regard and refer to as 'tragedies' are our collective history. It ought to be taught in school by the way.One of Oguta’s most famous sons believed that he alone should be rich and others poor. He believed and would say in public: ‘How could I empower you to fight me?’ Having muscled his way into power, he did all in his power to diminish his people to ‘igirigu’ (crayfish). He supported every government’s bid to suppress Oguta peopleThat is just one man. Hitler did worse and he is still in there.... Engraved in the golden sands of eternity. Germany didn't deny Hitler after the war. He was even celebrated .....even to this very day. You made mention of contradiction, this is just an example sir. The Biafran question has its roots in the conundrums of the 1960s, arising from man’s stupidity. You should stop referring to your father's age-mate as being stupid. I believe you were taught better. Who are the men that were stupid? The Igbo's that were being slaughtered in their numbers up north? Ojukwu that couldnt stand this sight? Gowon that tried to keep the unity of the in check? The starved children? The soldiers that lost their lives on both sides of the divide? I ask again..... WHO ARE THE MEN THAT WERE STUPID? It is to me a tragedy that my people are talking of Biafra, and somebody dared to write, ‘In Biafra Africa died.’Don't tell me that you're shortsighted? A people's right to self determination was aborted. Children that were morally and socially unworthy candidates of war casualty was victimized via hunger and starvation. The world watched on while the sole essence of life was almost snuffed out of her inhabitant - Africa. Seriously, a cursory glance at Nigeria reveals stories of marginalisation from all corners. Examine the five states that constitute the heart of Biafra and say if you do not see marginalisation everywhere. In Imo State where I come from, Oguta people are totally marginalised.Fine. Because your clan is allegedly being marginalized then it is only natural that the entire Igbo nation should be marginalized as well. You claim that Oguta people are being marginalized also but you re quick to question the sacredness of the 1970's pogrom. Bro, lives were lost. Dreams were shattered. Hopes were completely dashed. I see the picture your re trying to paint. God bless your hustle sir. Nigeria as an entity has not recovered from that war. Take it or leave it. |
They are the fourth arm of government...But they could be used to unseat the First Arm, used to castrate the Second Arm. It can be used to destabilize the third arm of government. How they do this is entirely another issue. Ask PDP. |
horladtop:Will Buhari add any relevance to your observation? You're only derailing your post.... ![]() |

This is a psychological warfare against Nigerians... Very sophisticated indeed. I have never seen such brazen display of tactfulness at the central before. Things are getting clearer now. From the very beginning, I kept wondering why the recent developments in crude oil / petrol (the world over) was in reverse motion only in Nigeria. It is beginning to fall into place. #1. The price of crude oil was down internationally, but it systematically didnt reflect in Nigeria. #2. Government kept FX for oil marketers and some other big players, but somehow, these FX was not used to purchase oil. #3. Suddenly, there was scarcity of petrol (only in Nigeria). These forced people to getting used to the black market pricing. #4. All these while, they were only round-tripping and bidding their time. AM WORKING ON IT...THOUGH I MAY NOT SHARE ANYTHING.. |

They are numerous, but permit me to dwell on these few (bullet) points. Thank you. Status. Assigning an equal status to all citizens. Ever heard the saying that your right is not in the constitution? Ever noticed the preferential treatment meted out to different class of people over (legally) the same matter? Where one person is given preferential treatment even inside a prison facility in the country? Ever noticed how law enforcement agents go about their duty? They respectfully arrest politically and economically advantaged people and traumatically arrest economically disadvantaged people. In African China's voice, ''Rich man weh thief money dem no go show im face for crime fighter, but poor man weh thief maggi u go see imm face for crime fighter'' . Unprecedented Divisional Tendencies The evil forces of religion, satanical prowess of ethnicity, tyrannic adventures of selfish statism. Your guess is as good as mine. Differential Citizenship The quota system as an example. As an established rule, the differences of her citizens are exploited for the ill of the country. Even the constitution of the federal republic supported this anomaly. Individual states serves as institution of division. How can one be an indigene of say, state 'A' and authoritatively and constitutionally outclassed in state 'X'? Both states are within the political framework of ONE country! Classic Irony! |
Technically, all the four pipes are supplying 'water'....... Cos I see water dripping from all four pipes. But if you're asking about the pipe that supplied the water in the bucket........Na 'Pipe 2'. |
Hahaha.. History never lies! You want his head cos he exercised his constitutional right (He's a member of the federal executive council). He objectively pointed out reasons why he thinks his country should not borrow more money. If you think he's wrong (and have points to back it up), why not counter his opinion with your points. Fashola once stated that one of the easiest things to do (in politics) is criticism. And he advised against doing easy things then, I think his advice still holds. |
Looks like insults wrapped in compliments! Well.. the writer achieved both, I guess! |
He could be doing other stuffs than 'sleeping'. Having a job that increases your risk of being exposed to traumatic events no b beans. He could be thinking about all the lives he has ended. He could be remembering / longing for his friends and family back home. The 'senselessness' of the insurgents' struggle might be bothering him. Why wont they give up the struggle and put an end to this wanton destruction of lives and properties. Remember Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSO)? Especially combat-related PTSO's? I assure you, he's not even taking a nap... |
