Business / Re: Thread For Bakery Owners And Intending Owners In Nigeria by Visenya(f): 1:19am On Jan 16, 2019
Awwwn... Trust me, you wouldn't want to be here with me. I'm based in Michika,Adamawa State and would be relocating to Borno State anytime soon. I'm a Medical Lab Scientist too, so whenever duty calls, I must answer plus like I stated earlier, I'm still a starter. Employment will be a later development.

Good afternoon.. Please can I come work for you? In your bakery please. [/quote]
Business / Re: Thread For Bakery Owners And Intending Owners In Nigeria by Visenya(f): 11:20am On Jan 15, 2019
Hello dear, like I said, I run a home bakery. So basically what I did was change my previous gas cooker which was just 2 burners to a twin oven with 4 burners and one hot plate in the middle of the burners. It's quite a small oven, just like family size but it gets the work done.
I'm planning on getting a bigger one by the end of this month but this one here is exactly what I've been using as a starter.

Hello, please, what kind of oven did you get for 80k?

Kindly reply. Thanks

First of all, what type of bakery do you intend on opening. Is it just bread, small chops, cakes etc. I suggest you start small. I run a home bakery here in the North and for now, I only make cakes because I'm very good at it. Took me 50k to get all my starter baking equipment from Yola. I got an oven of 80k and Generator of 90k. To be honest when I entered cake house in Jimeta Market, I was confused. I had so much to buy with so little money, I almost cried. But I had to prioritize.
I went for hand mixer 8k instead of the smallest standing mixer there 19k. I got 4 pans, nozzle set, fondant equipment and much more. To be very honest with you I make nothing less than 70k on a very good week and 30 - 45k on a very bad week. I have a lot of customers and I deliver my best.

Now, you have way much capital than me when I started, you can do better. Work with what you have, work within your budget. Anyone telling you, you need mixer or oven of 500k to 1m is not good at giving advice. You can start at home, share flyers along your street and beyond. You will definitely get customers and as time goes on and you expand because you definitely will, you can now start buying sophisticated equipment one at a time.
God bless your hustle

Celebrities / Re: Kemi Olunloyo: 'Linda Ikeji Has No Womb, Can't Have Kids, Was Never Pregnant" by Visenya(f): 7:47am On Sep 19, 2018
Now the common rule in calling people out for their supposed shit is also including facts.
You said Linda have no womb and as such cannot carry a child. Ok we haff hia.
Please also try and include reasons why because to the best of my knowledge all females are born with one.

So is it that she use her own for juju
Or it is a genetic defect
Abi she did full hysterectomy
Or the thing kuku just disappear

We want to know. Don't just stop at "Linda does not have a womb" We want the full details so we can relate it to your accusations.

And please stop carrying false rumour in relation to Solange carrying Beyoncé's pregnancy for Blue Ivy because that is a big fat smelling like. Beyoncé carried all her pregnancies.

How do I know this ?
Unlike you, I source my information correctly from a very trusted and reliable source.
Stop being a hater for no reason. Rejoice with people in their good news and remember state facts and reasons next time.
Food / Re: “yorubas Cook Jollof Rice Better Than Igbos” - Nigerian Man Says by Visenya(f): 2:58pm On Aug 05, 2018
Straight up Igbo girl and I agree 3000%. Not just their Jollof rice but their stews too. Choi! Yoruba pepper stew. But when it comes to soup delicacies, leave it for Igbos.

All i see is a bitter microbiologist traning to become a medical doctor by all means due to the fact that Medical Scientist did not create enough space for him to rub shoulders with. Mind you, salary issue affects everybody not just doctors. Stating that doctors in Nigeria are not paid as well as doctors overseas is very funny because other health workers are not also paid as much as their fellow colleagues abroad.

From your epistle, it is very clear you feel this special kind of bitterness towards Medical Scientist. If not, i wonder why you would compare a microbiologist knowlegde base to that of a Medical Scientist. A microbiologist doesn't know shit about other sectors of Medical Laboratory Science ( Chempath, Hisopath, Haemat, Immunology, BGS) he or she just focused on just a sector of Medical laboratory Science (microbiology & parasitology) which is like one fifth of what a licensed Medical Scientist studies but you claim the knowledge base is equal. Please channel your anger elsewhere so you can get the Bleep out of this cesspit of a country and practise abroad because this country does not have you in mind.

So lets just say you consider my advice. Go for Australia or Canada. US and UK don cast.
