Kukutente23: “The Supreme Court said the Federal Government should hand over the local airport to him, and that the Federal Government should pay him N132bn plus interest from 2009.
“ I told him: nobody is going to pay you that. He wrote it off. Babalakin wrote off the N132bn outright,” Keyamo said.
The same APC that was preaching obeying all court orders just yesterday is today telling someone that they will not obey a judgement of the supreme court
And zombies are hailing them I don't understand you sometimes. A messed up situation signed away by empty headed government has been cleared through good negotiations. What is wrong in that? If you win a case and the court awards charges in your favour, is there any law that says that we can't renegotiate the terms of settlement that is mutually acceptable to us? |

You were asked on live TV program of what Tinubu is doing wrong and what would you do to change it and you answered.... everything. No specifics. |

fergie001: Sam Amadi is an ex-Chairman of NERC & supporter of Peter Obi Why wouldn't he when you refuse to build your structure. You always go to him to attach yourself. What you are saying now was it not what made Wike to work against his party and enthroned APC and you began to abuse him. Why Atiku and the entire north so much hate Tinubu is because he's the only southern politician right now that has the clout to match them. They wanted a weak southern president. |

ebuk4real: The financial mess in this Lagos eh. Why in debt in this volume despite these much touted IGR?
Unserious people Debt is not the issue but what you do with the borrowed money. You can't develop at a fast pace with your cash only. Why are the banks in business? No matter what you owe what matters is the capacity to repay. In fact you will be counted as a poor financial manager if there are opportunities with positive net cashflow but you refused to take them because you want to avoid debt. Risk averse organisations don't grow fast. Risk takers do. But you must balance both of them. A board composed of mainly risk takers will fly and burst. At the same time one composed mainly of risk avoiders will be very sluggish in their movement. The true game is balance it. Nigerians make so much issue of borrowing. A state or country that has rapidly increasing population but deficit infrastructure cannot catch up with a balanced budget. It should be a deficit budget. Deficit is financed through borrowing. The rules must be: Judicious use of borrowed funds. Borrow long to finance long Borrow short to finance short Avoid borrowing-project mismatch. |

Ofunaofu: The Ibadan declaration ✌️
History remembers those who resisted Abacha; it will also remember Nigerians who stood their ground against the Tinubu regime, resisted the most wicked and draconian regime in the history of this country and brought it to a standstill So this is all that they can come up with. Every major person there is ex this and ex that. Every party is faction this and faction that Rather than get serious with election preparation they were all over the place condemning Tinubu this and APC that. Now the election is close and they are not prepared and they are accusing INEC that the timetable was targeted at them and that INEC should shift it to June. Can you see unseriousness? Once your political favourite fail at something, you guys start accruing some mysticism to it in a bid to exonerate your gods from failure. The problem of power is not beyond technical knowledge. It actually requires technical knowledge.
PBAT did not crack any fx mafia neither did he crack any subsidy mafia. If you're convinced that he did, mention the names of the members of the mafia and how many of them have been arrested or serving jail.
He simply passed the buck to you the ordinary citizens. That's why you've been paying through the nose and seen your quality of life plummeted since he assumed office If there is nothing deep about power why has the problem been with us for long? Regime upon regime? Fx mafia..... it's a sector that I know inside out. I benefited from it. Senior bankers and those with connections in CBN made fortune overnight without adding value. Business › Re: Naira Weakens To ₦1,355/$ As Reserves Drop To $48.48bn by Vision101(m): 2:44pm On Apr 24 |
GboyegaD: The challenge when all you want is power without adequate capacity to function. You don't know economics. It shows two things: 1 Nigerian fx rate is gradually being aligned to global economic dynamics. Before now people in CBN would have sat in their offices and fix rates that are not reflective. 2 Naira exchange rate volatility is under good control. If it was before the petroleum subsidy mafia would have made a kill because of the Iranian war. The rates in the open market might have increased only marginally but their subsidy claim would have emptied the foreign reserves. If the government wants to avoid this, the result would have been massive queue. |
