Lagos is not facing the same crime rate as the rest of Nigeria. In fact Lagos is one of the safest. Lagos state government has a state security trust fund where funds are contributed by the government and private sector to fund the Nigerian police. The police in Lagos is the best funded and best equipped. The crime rate is relatively low that's why major elites keep their families in Lagos. Lagos has neighbourhood watch. What Lagos needs is full state police.

Now he educates us on debt, economy and leadership. He has never managed the budget of an enterprise that operates from a kiosk but he is educating us on national budget. For Nigerian politics it's all about visibility and noise. That's why one of them that likes trending on social media thinks that he's the best presidential material in Nigeria.

There is reward for patience, trust, humility and loyalty in politics. Tinubu passed this test and that's why he has many loyalists. Atiku and Obi have all failed this test woefully. Shettima has demonstrated all these since 2023. PBAT in his usual braveness has destroyed the same faith myth in Nigerian politics. A winning team is not supposed to be changed.

We have seen the rehearsal of the rigging method in APC primaries. Where they count 99 and jump straight to 10,000.

I want to ask you: sample the opinion of every state governor even in opposition and ask them if they will prefer Tinubu or any other. Their resounding response will be Tinubu. He made governance easy for them. Oti's signature bank is awash with Abia money.

It's easier for PBAT to win now than 2023. He doesn't need rigging. He is audacious and bold. He is ambitious. He likes taking up big challenges. We expect him to drive his reforms for another four years and thereafter pick a disciple from the north to run it for another eight years. After this Nigeria's head will be so raised up.

Enough of patch patch and cosmetic approach to governance in Nigeria. We don't want those that will think small just to look good in the eyes of the public meanwhile bleak future awaits us.

In the HoR if you win, you can stay for 4 years. FEC minister, you can be fired at any time. If by chance you become a Select Committee chairman/woman, as Ibori's daughter became in her first term in the HoR, you will make money.

Also, during this current government, most ministries didn't even get 25% of their budget/allocations. It was in the news recently, before the former Minister of Finance left. In fact, the revelation by the former finance minister was one of the unpalatable things Tinubu was unhappy about.

This one na for career and politics forever politicians. Technocrats in the government have no time and interest in politics. Once they leave, they head back to their profession.

It is not. If you stay in Abuja and enjoy yourself even if you do well in your assignment the locals will not regard you. Politics is local and not online or always appearing in the news.
