I can't remember the last time that I presented my FSL, GCE "O" and "A" levels certificates in any interview. Even higher certificates at our level in most cases are for formality. Several times I have resumed senior jobs before putting up applications to just formalize the appointment.

At very high level what you have done gives you the job and not your paper quality. That's how it works in developed economies.

For his education, Atiku had his primary education at Jada Primary School and in 1960 was admitted to Adamawa Provincial Secondary School in Yola. He graduated with a Grade Three WASC/GCE Certificate in 1965.

Admitted in ABU 1967 on even scholarship for a 2 years diploma in law. Ordinary diploma in law. This is the highest that took him to deputy controller of customs and vice president of federal republic of Nigeria. This is the same person that is disturbing us about certificate.

Someone that worked for a multinational company for years to a high level until he resigned and they didn't doubt his competence. He was a governor of a state that has the fifth economy in Africa for eight years and performed creditably. Three years as president and Nigerians are still asking of primary and secondary school certificates. Are we serious.

I have stated it several times that I didn't attend formal secondary school but I'm a chartered accountant and I have other higher qualifications. This earns me respect and acceptance anywhere I go. There are some people like us. It's a mark of brilliance. Nigerians should stop majoring on minor.

Nigerians are not naive. Debate is childish and academic. Atiku was in government for eight years and in charge of running the economy what did he do with subsidy and our petroleum sector? He couldn't even ensure that PIA came to fruition.

Separated the petroleum and gas ministry. Gas is a major on its own.
Presently repositioning NNPC
NNPC remittance is on all time high.
Crude production is on the rise
The oil majors are all coming back because of the policies of the present government.

I don't know why we export crude and also import the products when we have companies that can refine and make it available for us and then all those economics English now enter to deceive us.

Where are the indigenous refineries? The only major one now is Dangote. A reasonable portion of our petroleum products are still being imported. How will Atiku's subsidy deal with this?

This is not wailing. This is policy reply based on sound technical knowledge.

Atiku didn't think these through. All his life he worked in customs collecting bribe. His educational training is one Arabic studies. He has no knowledge of the workings of the petroleum industry. Nigerians can now see that it's easy to make chochocho against a government but to provide solid workable alternative is very difficult.

These are things that the opposition without knowledge of oil gas sector wants to come and scatter. Tinubu is greatly positioning our upstream oil sector. Atiku is telling us that he will subsidize consumption but he hasn't told us his policies to increase crude production. Without upstream there will be no downstream.

Where are the refineries today? Only Dangote and few modular.

Reasonable portion of our petroleum products are still being imported. How is he going to subsidize this?

Where will he find money to fund the discount?

Is Atiku aware that our crude production before now was very low and Tinubu is trying to increase production. If production goes down again where will he find the crude to discount and supply to his imaginary refineries?

Discounted crude means lower income to the federation. How will Atiku fill the gap?

In Nigeria price fixing has always resulted to corruption. How will Atiku tackle this?

The FG is not the sole producer of crude and a lot of it is sold forward. Will Atiku cancel forward contracts so that he will have crude to discount?

Atiku handled unbundling and privatisation of the power sector. What was the result? Did he get it right? Are we not still suffering the effects?

Was Atiku not the person in charge of privatisation under OBJ? Was he not the one that scattered the old NEPA and we are still living with the effect up till today even after sinking $6 billion? When did he over time become a perfect planner that he wasn't for eight years?

FYI major policy reversal is very difficult and has wider implications. You can imagine someone that has gotten used to certain things for decades, forcing the person to change old habits that are destructive and as the person was trying to adjust and face reality, you reverse again to the old habits.

Within months the present foreign reserves will be so depleted to the Buhari era.

I'm sure that Atiku and those that are following him on wishful expedition don't know that PIA Act will need to be amended for their wish to take place. How can he push this in an expected APC dominated national Assembly? Atiku just wants to deceive the ignorant.

Let’s not forget, Atiku stated how he would re introduce subsidy.

How did he state how he would reintroduce subsidy? He said that he would subsidize crude oil sold to refineries. Where are the refineries? The only functional refinery is Dangote. A greater percentage of petroleum products that we use now is still imported. How would he subsidize this through subsidy on crude oil?

Atiku told the man on the street what he wants to hear but he knows that it's not realistic.
