Do you even understand economics? Let's take what you said here. In a depreciating currency it favours the borrower more than the lender. But contrary to what you are saying here the Naira is relatively stable now.

Which refineries..... only Dangote. What happens to imported PMS? Smuggling resumes. What happens when the crude oil price goes up? How will he adjust for it? Atiku's proposition means less money to NNPC and to the FAAC. How will Dangote adjust for the crude that he imports? Atiku wants to breed further corruption in NNPC as there will be descripancies between NNPC claim of crude supplied and refineries claim of crude received. There will be no fresh investment in refinery. What happens when our crude production is low such that we will be struggling to meet committed orders talk less of local refineries?

Any time that the opposition talks on economy they prove that PBAT is miles ahead of them. Obi said that he will retain fuel subsidy and fx floatation. If you add tax reforms they make the main pillars of PBAT's reforms. What else are you coming to do. The man has done all the dirty job and you want to come and ride.

If Otti truly wants investors to come to Abia then he must first work on attitudinal change. Our people must be welcoming. Imo is fair but Abia is no no. There is no tribe that can single handedly develop their place. Every tribe needs other people to come to their place to invest. All that happens in Aba is for people to come, buy and leave. Hardly can you see people from other parts having permanent investments.

As someone that is from Imo, lived greater part of my life in the west and has been working in Aba since 2017 I have first hand knowledge of what I am saying. They even discriminate against their fellow Igbos. Nobody invests in a hostile environment.

APC had 21 governors in 2023, but Tinubu only won 9 APC-governed states. He lost all the Southeastern and Southsouthern APC states including Lagos in the Southwest. The margins will even be far less in the North come 2027.

What he wanted from APC that would make him visible wasn't given to him. He overrated himself. Suddenly his governor outsmarted him. He went to ADC and understood that he can't get any offer that will give him visibility for 2031. NDC became his last option. Obi desperately needed a notable northerner and kwankwaso needing visibility against 2031 became a ready option. He's aware of how hard it will be for Obi to win election in the north. If they lose he has lost nothing but has achieved his aim of being in the subconscious of the electorate.

He's aware that in 2031 there will be no Tinubu, Atiku and Obi but he didn't reason that Tinubu must have developed a protege that will ride on the back of Tinubu's turnaround of Nigeria.

There is a reason developed countries do not joke with inflation. It is very hard to control once it starts rising quickly.

Clearly, BAT did not think through his policies and their sequencing...and here we are now. Simultaneously removing fuel import subsidy and liberalizing exchange rates - in a 4th world country with no formal social security system or welfare architecture? How was it going to work?

Today BAT and his people are running from pillar to post trying to manage the fallout of an inflationary spiral that they have all but given up trying to control. Having relatively stable exchange rates is scant consolation in the face of a devalued currency and (more important), chronic, runaway inflation.

First of all, smuggling of PMS is still going on in Nigeria today. It is far from dead.

It is true that there isn't fuel scarcity anymore. But that doesn't resonate with Nigerians who are going through the worst cost of living crisis in an entire generation. There are more multi-dimensionally poor people in Nigeria today - than at any point in our history. Telling these people that they should be thankful for not having to queue for scarce fuel - is nothing but a provocation.

The stipend of 20,000 per month for nelfund students is free. It's not repayable. It's not part of the loan.

Give credit to whom it's due. Our monetary authorities worked wonders. It's very difficult to contain inflation when you float your currency. When you add the removal of fuel subsidy then you can understand. Presently there is reasonable price stability. The inflation rate is looking south. That's why experts have acknowledged the wonderful work done by our monetary authorities.

About hardship - for a long time our leaders have avoided taking the hard decision because they were afraid of the backlash. Once in awhile when things start looking bad they will introduce cosmetic reform that achieved nothing. We have gone through OBJ's austerity measure but nothing came out of it.

If a house has a bad foundation and the cracks start some people might cover up by doing patch patch and the occupants will think that their house is good. The cracks will still come up no matter what you do. It will require some measure of boldness and audacity for the owner to bring the entire structure down. During this period the occupants will be homeless and their old luxurious life will be withdrawn.

Upon laying a solid foundation and the structure rebuilt the occupants will have a solid house for life. In most cases when so much is being buried under the earth the public will see nothing and the builder will be accused of wasting resources but experts will understand.

If all you say is true - BAT would be coasting easily to re-election.

There would be no need for these pitched battles between BAT loyalists and ordinary Nigerians - if indeed BAT is all you say he is.

The truth is that BAT hasn't delivered what he promised. At this point all his administration has - is propaganda.

They used to quote bogus figures of national consumption of PMS. Have you been hearing it again? Smuggling of PMS was a major business. That business is dead. Scarcity of aviation fuel used to ground airlines. Have you heard such again? Have you heard of fuel scarcity?

A student on nelfund receives stipend of #20,000 every month free. For a four-year course this will be 20,000 × 48 months = 960,000 free. Was it like this before? For three years there has never been ASU strike because lecturers are paid their entitlements.

Before BAT most state government employees go to the office to sign and later head where they go to hustle because they were owed up to 30 months salary. It's now history.

Which steady growth trajectory? Towards the end of Jonathan's regime:
1. Reserves were progressively declining.
2. Excess crude account got emptied.
3. State governments started owing salaries.
4. Funding petroleum subsidy became an issue such that we were dealing with constant fuel scarcity.
5. Up NEPA was a regular slang even after privatisation and pumping 6 billion dollars into the power sector.

The finance minister was honest as a professional. She warned of the direction that Nigeria was heading to.
