Is the first time Latin teams are playing the WC ?
Look I'm only giving them their own medicine, we are made to believe that are slots are given by pity, and that European teams play better hence their number of slots, well out of the many European teams, why only 2 are in the semis ? With most reaching this stage through PK , who is fooling who ? Given the same amount of slots, I'm sure @ least 2 African teams would have reached the semi too

This world is Race driven, + African players are, paid peanuts and most of. The time denied well deserved awards

Emmysteve: I never believed the saying that an African country can never win the world cup until i witnessed the recent showing of Fifa double standard policies. Even the appointment of match officials are done in such a way that it would favor a particular country. All what is done in the field of play has already been arranged before the kickoff.

To drive in my point is the case of Super eagles midfielder Ogenyi Onazi who was intentionally kicked in the angle by french player Matuidi which automatically send him out of play from 6 to 7 months, a replay showed Matuidi going after Onazi's leg instead of the ball.
Despites calls by many football legends including Maradona that Matuidi should be sanctioned, instead FIFA claimed that nothing is wrong with the tackle.

The following week, player Neymar jr, sustained injury from zuniga knee tackle that send him out for 6 to 8 weeks... Fifa to investigate Zuniga kneel tackle.

Isn't these two actions of racism too glaring? in other words, an African leg is breakable but white man's leg is untouchable. Kai Fifa please Fear God!!!

The hand writing is clearly written on the wall by Fifa that Africa can only try but can't never win the world cup. It's time Africa unite and protest against Fifa's injustice. AFRICA MUST BOYCOTT THE NEXT FIFA WORLD CUP TO REGISTER OUR DISPLEASURE. enough is Enough
. @OP. Boycotting WC is not the issue. African teams did not play well. Concerning our match against France, the players and officials also have themselves to blame. For instance when Osaze was fouled and should be given a penalty, did he fall? Did he protest ? No, he did not and everyone went on with business. When Onaze was fouled like that, what did Steven Keshi do ? What did SE captain do? What did the players do ? Nothing. Yobo who is one of our oldest players in that team should have walked up to the referee and protested. They all needed to protest and make noise about it. Suarez bit that Italian player but the ref did not see it. If the guy had just sat down as if nothing went wrong, perhaps, Suarez would have played on or may be bitten another player again. Who knows ?

MadCow1: As a Student in school, one Sunday whilst at church, my phone rang and when I answered, it was the sweetest and most angelic voice I have ever heard in my life. Barely 30 seconds into the conversation, I realized she had called the wrong number and I was a bit reluctant to tell her but I did and she apologized and hung up.

I couldn't help myself so I called her and complimented her voice and told her how melodic her voice was and all that sweet nothing we guys say, she was a good sport and laughed but didn't take Offence nor hang up. I told her I would call her from time to time just to hear her say hi and she didn't object. I got back to the hostel and told my homies about my encounter and one of them said he also had a similar experience and that he is currently holding steady chats with his own unknown caller on the phone. After several chats, I enquired about her location and the chances of us meeting and she said 'Accra'.. shocked Accra was quite the distance from my school and the roads where horrible. 6 hours plus.

Anyways, it was on.. I was already looking forward to meeting the finest girl I would have ever met who had the sweetest voice I have ever heard. A couple of months down, I was in Accra and I called her up and set up a meeting and she agreed.

D-Day arrived and I went to the designated bus stop just near a filling station and waited for the arrival of my Swan princess. As I stood there, I caught the sight of a beautiful girl walking in my direction, my heart froze and I stood transfixed on her hip as it swayed like a pendulum ball from side to side with every step she took in my direction. The closer she got, the faster my heartbeat. She was tall, dark skinned, slim body build, too slim for the arsse she was carrying on her slender waistline, pretty face, perky boo-bs and wore a fitted jean that made all her asset stand out. I was stunned and even started panicking as I doubted I wouldn't stutter in the presence of this Pochahuntas looking goddess. Then she picked her phone up and started making a call and my EKG spiked. when she started speaking and walked past me, my heart sank.. It was not her. angry I continued waiting. Several hot Babes kept walking past that at some point I might as well have been at a runway modeling show. A few minutes passed and nothing. Just then I saw another babe walking slowly and looking confused as though she was looking for someone.

Immediately, my Spidy-Sense started tingling fast. Jesus Christ of Kumasi, this babe was Ugly as fhuck. I immediately took cover and watched her movements from behind my hiding place. The girl stopped, head looking around, she picks her phone and dials a number, I felt my phone vibrate and the voice of James Blunt came out his speakers singing 'You're beautiful'.. grin FHUCK THAT!! I slapped the phone silent and contemplated my next move. I can't be caught with this Ogre in broad daylight, my reputation would be ruined. So after a few seconds, I answered and Lo! She was the one calling me, I could see her lips moving in sync with the voice in my ears. angry immediately I sap tarted retreating and told her I had to run off as one of my mates called with an emergency that please we should reschedule our meeting. She looked disappointed but said cool and I fixed a new meeting for later that evening. After she left, I came out my hiding place and ran for my life.. That line has never been used again since that day.

That's my story..

moral Lesson: Never judge a face by its voice. grin

hensben: you mean that pass to anelka against wigan, if thats how you rate a player due to 3 games he made an impact then all players are equal in terms of quality,to think of, he was not even the best player on those games you highlighted.smh, even the worst midfielder in the world has made one or two passes that doesnt make him a good player, game consistency is what rate a player high, mikel has never been consistent in chelsea for one season since he arrived...he has been use as a squad player for chelsea, he has never been our best midfielder for one season so what are you talking about huh, clubs even dey make yanga to bid for him, a 26 years old for that matter, they cant even agree to pay his weekly salaries(65k ponds) when yaya toure 30 years old now dey receive bumper deal cos he is threatening man city that he want to leave.
When people say the obvious, they make it look as if you don't like him.
Mikel should be or is the biggest player in the SE, but what did he show for it? He was easily outshone by other less experienced players. Mikel is young ( as we all believe he is) and is also experienced. No one in SE is as "big" as he is. Osaze who is above 30 and plays for a smaller club was fantastic compared to Mikel.

If people say Mikel did well in this tournament, then it shows that they don't like him. Even, defenders can also be man of the match, so it has nothing to do with position of play.

princefunmi: Well the stats I read on Fifa's website says something different from what you are saying. Mikel made tackles. Mikel won balls, Mikel made passes. I don't understand what you mean by running. I didn't know running was a pre-requisite for a midfielder - a holding midfielder at that.

I'm sure Mikel was aware that the world was watching and so where his employers and others who may have been interested in signing him up. He wouldn't deliberately jeopardise his chances now, would he? Think about that.
Did you watch the match against France ? If you are sincere you would see that he was not influential in that match.

thegoodjoehunt: I guess you are a coach working in the top level to know that Coaches do not rely more on stats than watching.

How do you think Mikel whom many criticises always gets picked for club and country.
He's not a bad player, but in this tournament, he didn't put up a good fight as I said earlier before.
He literarily was not seen in some games especially our last match. You need to watch the match very well. Statistics will not always show you the picture. For instance one player could make 20 complete passes in a game against another who makes 10 complete passes.
But the first player 14 back passes to the goal keeper, while the 2nd player made some offensive passess
Sports › Re: Mikel Does Not Deserve Nigeria No. 10 Jersey - Etim Esin by vislabraye(m): 9:12pm On Jul 07, 2014
thegoodjoehunt: A players performance is beyond just watching. Some people on this thread said Mikel never tackles. That is based on what they watched. Yet he had a higher tackle rate than Matuidi.

So criticising base on what you watch is wrong. It does not show the true reflection of things. That is why everyone can not be coaches.
Beyond just watching you say ? Why do coaches prefer watching matches rather than just statistics ?
If you really want to know the type of tackles he made, the balls he won, then you will to watch those matches again ( if u have the time).
This is not to say Mikel is a bad player per se, but his performance was not inspiring.

You complained about Mikel's tackling, yet he had the same amount of tackles in less time with Blaise Matuidi.

princefunmi: HAAAAA!!!!!! I don catch you. Everybody Come see oooooooo!! I don dust this guy finish. See cheap shot.

Now let me school you or rather remind you.

Who was the star of the AFCON Tournament?

Who was the Anchor of the Chelsea defence in the Post Essien era?

Who does the dirty work in the Chelsea midfiled?

I dont need to contest this because the facts are clear.

You dont crucify a player and rubbish him simply because he failed to show up at a single tournament. Before now Mikel was on every-bodies lips. Prior to the start of the World cup, everybody agreed without a doubt that Mikel would make the world cup squad without even trying. Such was the depth of his capabilities. Everybody also agreed that if he did not make the squad the team will be incomplete.

Unfortunately, Mikel had a bad outing at Brazil. I will not contest the fact that Mikel is capable of more than what he did at the world cup. But what we must realise is that this things happen. It happens even to the best of players. Go an ask Iniesta. Ask Pirlo. They will tell you that sometimes things don't just fall in place for them and they have torrid times. Its normal.
What is abnormal is that people should criticise a players supposedly bad showing in such a way that it looks like he has never gotten anything right before. Mikel has always been a start performer for Nigeria. Brazil just wasn't one of his fine days. It happens. Next AFCON or even World Cup, he could well me the start of the Team.

GET THAT INTO YOUR THICK SKULLS ALL YOU MIKEL HATERS AND RETARDED CRITICS. angry angry angry angry angry
Any player can have his off day. They are also human. But what pisses off people is Mikel's attitude. Let me ask you: was Mikel injured ? No. Was he recovering from injury ? No

Why couldn't he run? Why could he tackle? That's the problem. Even if a player is not in form, he will still put up a good fight.

I used to invite him to my office to come and clean it up every morning.
Once she comes I will squeeze her big watermelons. and also tap her protruding azzzz.

one day I just couldn't help it.

when d senior workers were in a meeting with d management, I excused myself and went to her side and signaled her to come.
she did.
immediately she entered I started hugging her and brought out her big milk industry to drink, as I was doing that I forgot d door wasn't really closed and all I heard was a cough and I was startled.
behold was d manager of my own department who expected me to get a file.
I buried my head In shame.
I begged him.
he kept it secret but scolded me sternly.

He later directed me to get her d girl and they met outside the work place and he ate and cleaned mouth.

Matthewbriggs: I may not be a sports fanatic, or follow closely the exploits of the likes of messi and rolnaldo or understand the schematics of the UEFA champions league or FIFA world cup. But one thing I know is ... I am big fan of the super eagles. I try my best not miss their matches. Her encounter with France was of no exception...4days ago I sat glued to a Tv set for more that 90 minutes hoping and praying we would win that game. But alas we were beating 2-0 ... 2 freaking zero... till today those goals keep replaying in my head. *arrggghhh*. I had two option, to either feel bad for our failure or to see this as one of my numerous learning opportunities and instead focus on deriving insight and inspiration from this depressing encounter. Alas I chose the latter. Below are really key lessons I relearned from that encounter .

https://kicksocca.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/07/fra-vs-nga-2.jpg

In the first half we played strong, we shook their defense, we had more ball possession, nearly 80% of people I communicated with during the early phase of the match were positive we would win... but alas with several minute into the second half and few minutes to go, our hopes of moving to the quarter finals were dashed with 2 goals. What surprised me was not the two goals we conceded but France's strategy... It occurred to me that they had been conserving their energy for the latter part of the match, they also tricked us to underestimate them by not coming on strong. At the same time building a very strong defense, so even though we had more ball possession we couldn't score. Now with few minutes to go they started playing with more energy and vigor, their performance and speed increased.

To my surprise France started playing world class football, there passes became more sharper, at this juncture our players were already tired plus they were taken unawares by the spike in France performance level given that the French had physiologically made them to underestimate them. I believe France adopted this strategy after watching our march with Argentina paying more attention to how fast we equalized. They knew that they stood a higher chance to score a goal at the tail end of the march leaving the super eagles with no time to equalize after having noticed that we always wear out during the ending period of a match.

The strategy was simple Take them by surprise and never give them room to recover. On understanding this I smiled and gave a standing ovation for France.

The point is
To win you need a strategy not just any strategy a brilliant strategy : We all want to win in life, Win that juicy promotion, Win that scholarship opportunity, Win the heart of the love of our life. we all want to succeed in life ... but have you sat down to build a winning strategy. How you intend to get from where you are to where you want to be, have your understudied your opponents, the risks and challenges you would face on the way and have you built a contingency plan, or do you just live life by chance, moving towards any direction the wind of life pushes you to.

You want to excel, who do you need to know, what role are they going to play in your life at what time, what knowledge and insight do you require to get there, what steps are you making to reach for stars. What strategy are you building to outsmart your stumbling blocks.

As you build your strategy Stick this into your head, "Brain will always win over might" Just like France beat us using their brain over our might. So it is in life. Design a brilliant strategy that is focused on working smarter instead of harder... As a popular saying goes..." If na by muscle bricklayer for become billionaire " ... Never forget that Smart people never stay poor.

The most important battles are fought in the mind: When France gave us the first goal. I could feel how demoralized our players were, they lost their cool and their performance dwindled... It was evident the French didn't just score they damaged their psyche. It was evident our players lost hope... they didn't believe they could equalize. This was evident in the way Osaze carelessly left the ball to go offside which eventually lead to the second goal.

The point is there will be moments in life where your faith will be tested, Where you will be put through fire & brimstone. Where the light at the end of the tunnel instead of getting brighter will shut right in your face. You'll feel like there is no need to hope again. In moments like this, It is very crucial you never say never, hope again, never stop believing in miracles, never give up. Because the moment you stop believing, in that same moment you fail before even failing.

If possible reach for greatness let your set back inspire you and drive you. Let it make you better. The good thing with this approach is that even if you eventually fail ... You would've have failed with class. Something we did during our encounter with Argentina... We lost by one goal but we still applauded them because they fought to the end... the played good football throughout.

Finally it not about how you start but how you end. The end RESULTS is all that matter in life no one freaking cares about how hard you've toiled, how many attempts or shot you made to achieve success, How you started brilliantly all they care about is results, end results.

It is evident that 70% of the time we played good football, we had more possession ... we dribbled we were on point but at the end we lost and we lost woefully, we made terrible mistakes. That is all we remember.. the mistakes, Yobo's own goal, Mikels poor performance, Osaze's misjudgement, Enyema's poor judgment that lead to the goals.

The world celebrate heroes, they celebrate winners, They never give f*uk about failures... do whatever it takes that is just and within the confines of your conscience ... to freaking succeed.
In all be smart and NEVER SAY NEVER.

#Mathew Briggs
What I learnt most in the match are:

1. Make good use of the opportunity you have. We had good opportunities but didn't convert it.

2. Your enemies are also vulnerable. France were not so outstanding. If they were, they wouldn't allow us to get into their half.

3. Take care of your loopholes. If you know that you have some lapses, fix them in time.

4. You need an element of luck to succeed. Nigeria scored a good goal which was disallowed. If that goal was allowed, the whole dynamics of the game would have changed.

While you guys run away and belittle our African traditional religions, the whites embrace our African religions.

There are more whites in Ogboni (ROF) than Africans.

See how they've deceived you? They brought in missionaries to introduce Christianity, while silently stealing our true religion.

These are the little 'gods' that God has created to help us. Why do you think God doesn't "answer prayers"? He has given you other 'gods' to make it easier to communicate with him. But people have ignored the little 'gods' and think they can pray directly to God. Dream on and keep deceiving yourselves.

1st commandment: thou shall not worship any other god before me

Make sure you acknowledge The Lord before communicating with other 'gods'

I tire for Africans o.
The God that created those little gods you are talking about is the one I worship and also the one that delivered him.
