You made a lot of sense here. This people arguing have never been hit by a truck driver. I usually pity innocent and defenseless citizens whose cars get damaged by these drivers.
If the truck drivers were law abiding this wouldn't have happened.
Personally, I have mistakenly hit a soldier's car while driving. I came down and apologize and he forgot about it.

The soldier may have overreacted but he was provoked. Try and see both sides of the story. If a trailer hits your car would you take it lightly?

and i dont really feel sorry for the driver because,except in Interstates(where i bliv speed rules) within the city or town,those truck drivers drive ruthlessly as if it's their father's land not mindful of other vehicles whatsoever,infact there are cases i'v seen smaller vehicles vacate the road completely for these trucks! Nigerian soldiers are not the cause of Boko Haram O. Who says BH are fighting against the army? They are fighting against every body. BH has not just cause for fighting. Leave them out of this.

The soldiers may have gone to the extreme and shldnt be supported. However there are always two sides of the story.
May be some of you don't know how reckless these truck drivers are. If they hit you, you would feel like cursing them. If they hit a car driven by a woman, they'll chance her.
Many of the go slow in Lagos is caused by their recklessness. They can be very careless.
Soldiers can be very civilized. Hardly do you see them (xcept some cases ) brutalizing people except provoked
