All the taxes in Lagos state goes to his pocket with the aid of his stooge governor. And yet people hail him . How can we allow one man to suppress us ? It's an indictment on his foolish followers who give him so much power. |

Kangol99: From the general look of Christianity in Nigeria you can testify that the Yorubas are making the largest contribution than any other tribe. I think that's the reason why. This is not tribalism but an observation. Wait a minute I know that the most influential GOs in Nigeria are Yorubas. But are you saying that's it's ok to say that all the pastors should be Yorubas ? That's what the Op just claimed and you are agreeing to it. |

shinystar: The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye has expressed sadness over the gruesome murder of Deaconess Eunice Mojisola Olawale, an Assistant Pastor of the church on Sunday in Kubwa during morning evangelism.
Adeboye, who arrived the residence of the Olawales’ as early as 6am on Tuesday, said: “We are indeed in a mournful in RCCG. As sweet as heaven is, death of our youths is not what we wish for.”
He prayed there would be no more death in the family and salvation of the yet-to-be-identified killers.
According to him: “RCCG shall not cease to pray that God will end bloodshed in Nigeria and all over the world.
“The church sympathizes with the widower, and pray The Lord will restore joy to the Olawale family and intervene speedily to make the innocent safe.”
http://naijachurchnews.com/mourning-adeboye-olawales/ We will pray but we must insist on justice. |

I condemn viewing happenings from ethnic and religious lenses, however your generalisation is supra nauseating You're Igbo but I'm not. Afterall it's not my brothers or sisters that were killed and raped. And there's no where in my post did I call an entire group bigots. By the way, what could spread hate faster than killing of innocent women whose only crime is practicing their religion What could spread hate faster than acting like any those who gave you 97% of their vote deserve you attention That's what pains me. I have to restrain myself from using harsh words on certain people like call them fools and idiots. But a lot of apologists think this way. If Joe Igbokwe is sensible enough, he would have condemned the killings in Enugu state as well as the recent ones in the North. How many times has the presidency condemned the actions of these killers. Can you imagine what would have happened this happened under Gej ? Your guess is as good as mine. Mind you, Fulani herdsmen has never killed like this before. |

woodcook: I think Joe is guilty of same offence he is accussing others of. What Joe failed to do was to list all those "efforts" that the president has made and the exact actions from the people of SE that have made it difficult for PMB to actualize his dreams for Nigeria.
Secondly, Joe should state exactly what the FB post was and if what the "SEners"said were true or not. He should also consider that maybe the SEners are right about their assertions.
I wonder what that man has been smoking. Exactly !! Joe Igbokwe is not being sincere with himself. Imagine his utterances. It's full hate. 1. Can he tell us why Fulani herdsmen should kill people in the SE ? What did he say when it happened ? 2. When Buhari said 97/5 % formula for people who voted him, what did he say ? 3. Imagine him praising Tinubu. I laugh. How would he feel if someone from his side acquires all the land available in the state ? Just imagine. 4. So if Moslem fundamentalists kill an Igbo Christian, they Igbos shouldn't react ? Using Yoruba as an example and lauding their silence is an indictment on them. |

CACAWA: Her killing can never ever be justified...I agree
But talking about religious tolerance, can we do something about the use of MegaPhones from street to street...for crying out loud, it does not make sense.
Let us learn to respect each other's faith. She may have been killed by frustrated youths, or extremists, but who knows, she may have been frequent in that neighbourhood...and if it is anything like I am used to hearing...the message will be "it is not about religion, where do you wan to end up? give your life to christ, he is the only one that can save you...it is not about fasting, Jesus loves you..."
Why will you walk to the front of the mosque when Muslims have woken up to worship God, and start telling them to repent and give their lives to Jesus. In Front of the mosque In a hausa community? That is outright provocation.
So, if the local imam had said..."chase that woman away"...he was only acting by instincts. But who ever thought of stabbing her has transgressed.
Enough of this street to street evangelism via MegaPhones...it makes no sense...the JW use pamphlets and magazines...that's more reasonable
And again, her killing cannot be justified.
N.B: Some people have replied me asking why Mosques are allowed to use megaphones and yet the evangelist cannot.
Well, Mosques are allowed, just as Churches too are allowed.
But to take your own megaphone from door to door is a bit too extreme. If I had my way...all religious centres should keep their sound systems INDOORS. Did she actually use megaphone to preach as you alleged ? Did she preach in front of a mosque ? If not it is wrong to assume. People will take what you say and twist it. A few months ago after one Deeper Life woman wss killed, people were saying that a religious argument led to her death, ( and thereby indirectly blaming her) wish wasn't the case. The man in question shared the same shop as her. When he wanted to do his ablution, he left his shop and came in front of her shop to do it. She gently asked him to leave that's when trouble started. |

There are but African nations seem to be worse off. You can't blame the dude, everyday he is watching the news, Africa is projected as a poor continent with videos of malnourished and dying babies with people living in abject poverty. Everyday he reads in the papers and watch in the news how UNESCO and USAID beg people to donate funds to feed hungry and dying kids in faraway Africa. The guy is just concerned why 100m pounds will be wasted on one player while people are dying of hunger elsewhere.
Okay you guys took offense because he specifically mentioned African nations? Sorry ehn, I apologize on the guy's behalf. ugohemma: This is what happens in a country where lives of citizens are used for politics. The truth is that these people are innocent citizens that doesn't know anything concerning politics or who is in power. For North to return to power, they did everything possible, anything just to see they don't loose in 2015. Boko Haram could have been weakened like shittes in the first year during NA offensive attack against them. Instead of Northern Elders to support NA to flush out breeding Boko haram members they went to ICC to report Goodluck Jonathan for carrying out operation against the North. Today no more Jonathan, No more Iherjirika. The man that stole funds for Ammunition is from the North, the Northern elder that bragged using Boko terror as treat to government is now a President inheriting the mess he applauded.
One thing I can take away from this scenario is, 1. Don't use your body as shield when dodging bullet. 2. Don't laugh at others when they are suffering. You've said it all. It just that Nigerians have short memory. They need to be reminded so often. The Northern Elders should be ashamed of themselves because they allowed things to get this bad. They kept on supporting bh. Gej may have his faults but the Northern elder must accept responsibility. They should sincerely ask themselves "where did we go wrong?" |
