euchaaria from one girl to another, don't go anywhere and do not try any nonsense covert ops. We all can't be Lara croft! Don't mind these NL guys. They would never advise their sisters to try such. Leave the man for God. He will surely try this with someone else who will blow the lid of his eroti.c scheme. This shows the job is not meant for you and God has something higher in store.

Lies.... its more than 50%.... our personal well being cannot drop by less than 1% and we would be lamenting... it has droped far below that.. thats why we have passed lamenting stage.. youths are now taking up slangs such as "eat or be eaten"..."all die na die"... "any which way".... "no man can cross alive"..
Well I don't know about 50% but I do agree with you. Its far more than that abysmal percentage. Except the survey was conducted on the upper class and upper middle class segments, I really don't know how these analysts calculate these percentages. So much suffering everywhere.

You have to work with me here. I am apprehensive about using too many words with you. It would just fly over your head or possible give you migraine. Small dull minds require small words. "fly over your head" in this context means you will not understand it. Just in case you start googling the meaning.
Hahahahaha. Honestly, you are truly the most childish and immature person I have had a chance to chat with here. Its "migraine" u should have described though cheesy.
Thank goodness for few matured minds like LordofNairaland etc who can actually carry and sustain an interesting conversation. With people like that, I realise there is still some hope in the world. The world is not fully populated with children in d guise of "men" who constantly exhibit infantile behaviour.
So my sweet little boy child, this would be my last response to you. Thank you for entertaining me this few days. Oh and should u bother to respond (which I know u childishly would - don't disappoint me now! cheesy), be sure that I won't bother to read it. My attention span with kids can only go so far....my 5 year old nephew knows this!
It's been rad kid.

Edgar Allan Poe lived a very depressed life. It was evident in most of his short stories—death is always a recurring theme.

I will get myself some Sheldon then. I will get the very one you recommended.
Depressed. That's an apt word. It wasn't the most feel-good movie...but hey, I love Cusack.
Yes, do get it. You won't be disappointed.
Enjoy your afternoon. Cheers

LordofNairaland:
Damn, I love you.

HG Wells, the science fiction guy. I have read about him but I haven't, any of his works. I have begun looking into collecting Stephen Kings for months now. I have movies inspired by his works—Carrie, Thinning and The Fog. Have you heard about Edgar Allan Poe? He wrote horrors too. I used to have a big collection of horror stories that includes some of his stories but termites destroyed it at a cousin's place.

I have heard so much about Sidney Sheldon but I am not sure if I have read any of his books.

I will check out John Saul.

I forgot to include George Orwell as one of my favorite authors. His book 1984 still stays with me.
King's The Fog is a fantastic film! It potrayed the fraility of human beings on one side and their true sadistic nature on the other side when survival mode kicks in.
Of course I know Edgar Allan Poe! Read his bio on Wikipedia some time back after I saw film The Raven (it starred John Cusack). It was supposedly about his life. But my wiki research saw in inconsistencies. Either way, Poe was slightly crazy!
Gorge Orwell! I have his softcopy books in a file somewhere
How can u be into books and not have any Sheldon works?? Let me be the one to pop your Sheldon cherry! Get and read his Windmils of the gods first!
As for King, I have hard and softcopy versions of almost all his works. Pls read his Duma Key!
U know,i always felt that if the world was coming to an end, I did choose to save my laptop and External HD Drives...housing all my Ebooks! grin

Over 200?

Wow, my type of woman. My very type of woman.

My favorite authors are, in no particular order, Wole Soyinka, Ernest Hemingway (this man was a genius), Chinua Achebe, William Golding, Edgar Mittelholzer. I just fell in love with Adichie after reading Purple Hibiscus. Now, I have all her novels (the three of them) though I have my reservations about Americanah but I am proud to keep it.

I intend to begin collecting Stephen King's books. I love horror stories.

It is hard to pick my favourite book. But I love "Ake" by Wole Soyinka. It is still the best book I have ever read. That book was instrumental in helping Soyinka win the 1986 Nobel Prize in Literature.

Now, it is your turn? Your favorite authors and your favorite book.
Noooo waaaay!
You love horror too? I thought I was literally the only Nigerian into that genre. I love horror - almost have the complete works of Stephen King. Then there is John Saul etc.
Alas, I don't do African authors. Did those in my early teens.
Fave authors are Robert Ludlum (my genius), King, Frederick Forsyth, Sidney Sheldon, Agatha Christie and Belva Plain.
My best novel - btw the Bounre Series and Belva Plain's "Evergreen".
I also collect James Patterson, Jonathan Kellerman, Thomas Harris and Dean koontz.
My latest acquisition...the complete works of HG Wells...in hardcover no doubt! A classicccccc!!!

Quote anywhere i said people don't make mistakes. Now you are just reaching. It is not about being a man. It is about being who and what i am. A fighter. I am trained to fight and destroy. Especially dull idiotic people. It's second nature. We don't take anything lying down. Especially from idiotic people. I already told you that i was sorry although i still considered you dull. Which i believe whole heartedly.
So fight and destroy sitting pretty behind your computer. I have spoken my mind. Do not curse me. Your assertion of me means diddly-squat! I also still consider you extremely immature for a dude. Finish!

Lol. I agree about the question mark. It was a typo which is why when i re read it, i made the adjustment. See the difference between a smart mind and a dull one. We own up. I also like that you consider yourself second class to men. Good. You already know and acknowledge you are weak and a potential slave to whoever has the misfortune to ask the big question. That is if it is ever asked. I doubt it though.
Oh a Typo was it. I thought smart 12yr old don't make mistakes hun. What happened in your case? Second class to men? If you use the word "men", women should be submissive.
Now "boys" and "children"...which are words that qualify u so to speak, now that a far different matter.
And may the God I serve punish you abundantly for cursing my future. It will NEVER be well with you or your generation.

Let's get this straight. I made a comment that had nothing to do with u. U read it wrongly and proceeded to insult me. I spoke up and u apologised and still insulted me in the same comment. All that I can and will take. But do not curse me dude. Do not try it! There is banter and there is a curse. I will not accept the latter from you.
Got that?
