nerilove: Don't be decieved by the illusion. Those eyes are not real. They are the works of a graphic artist. No where can u see a black person with a blue eyes. At most u will see brown, black, dark yellow eyes. No blue eyes anywhere talk more of from a Ghana person. Please go online and you would be amazed that such phenomenon does exist. Don't collude out rightly without a little research on your own part. |

I just woke up to this news. Death toll is now standing at 84. I just don't get it. This is the 3rd major attack on this country. They aren't the only European country to open their borders to Muslims. So why France? They pulled out of coalition military troop ages ago. Why France? At least with Charlie Hebdo attacks, we all had a reason (though warped) but it was still a reason for the attack. Last week, it was Turkey. What is happening with the world? Lord, what is happening |

The funniest thing is that you never get to win the biggest of them. So the end prize is a ballon. Interesting....The things that kids do! Lol |
Literature › Re: Dear Contemporary African Writer, We Read; We Don't Just Read You by vivaciousvivi(f): 12:35pm On Jul 07, 2016 |
I am a book lover and own an extensive hard and soft copy library. I did start with books like Pacesetters and others under the African readers library series. In secondary school, while I was "mandated" to buy and study books from authors like Elechi Amadi, Eddie iroh etc, my love for foreign authors grew. I devoured Twain, Bronte, Tolstoy, Agatha Christie, Jane Austen, oliver Goldsmith, lewis carroll and dickens. Later graduated to Kellerman, Koontz, king, Forsyth, Ludlum, Robin cook etc. All of which I get (albeit Used) hardcopies as cheap as N150 and N300 depending on the author. Or softcopies free online. Why would I now get an Adiche for the N3,500 or read an African novel whose storyline I just don't relate to? 1 Like |

leto: Skye Bank was a loooong time coming down. We could see it from afar. It was just a question of when.
At the moment, they SEEM to have over N700b in bad loans, mostly as a result of being overexposed to the oil and gas sector. That over exposure is happening with most of the other major banks as well. Its much more than that. Remember Oceanic and the underperforming loans, laundering and racketeering? I have a huge suspicion it's almost same for this. I mean dissolve the entire BOD...nah, there is more to this. |

Politics › Re: Have You Received Your National Identity Card? by vivaciousvivi(f): 8:47am On Jul 04, 2016 |
archangel1: Dear NLanders, something has got me puzzled for long. sometimes, I don't understand why our bureaucracy is not so swift and efficient especially as regard rendering services that mainly concern the masses. Reticence and tokenism have bedevilled our system of governance in this country. that's my perception For a year and some months now, the National ID that I applied for has not been given to me. But I remembered when Mr. president came on board around May last year, he was registered before the press , within two months of registration, he was given his before the cameramen; all in the name that NIMC is working. is that not tokenism? pls, has any one in this forum received his or her own. pls, when did you apply. I want to know whether am the only one left by NIMC? Thanks for your response. A year plus and you complain. At least you don't need the card on a daily basis. I paid for Driver's License in 2013. Till date (it has even expired now) I am yet to get it. Kept getting paper copies. That's the reason why I have vowed not to do this national ID card rubbish |
