So now they go say na Muhammad say make them destroy people shops and church |
Doris4ever:Hahahaha if Christians revenge then it's bye bye Nigeria and bye bye north. Our religion doesn't support violence that's why we calm but everything had its limit. Unlike Christians, Jews will definitely respond to that girl's killing, Muslim fear Jews more than Christians cause Jews don't tolerate rubbish. |
Ogbeni na even if she insult prophet self. How many times have Muslims insult Christ who has Lynch them or burn them? A girl back in school usually insult Christ cause she is a Muslim we didn't gang up and lynch her. These guys are not worshipers of God they are followers of Mohammed finish. You will know a true Muslim when you see 1 cause the once in Nigeria are different from Muslims. |
sreamsense:My problem is with Muslims not Islam there keep talking about the definition of the Trinity. From my own understanding, Jesus exalt the Father more (which means God is higher and He do exist) also Jesus said He and the Father are one (doesn't necessarily mean both are one entity) and so on. I believe in Jesus Christ and indeed He work wonders in my life, I don't need material proof to prove he existed we Christians worship him in Spirit and in Truth. |
uthlaw:I don't debate about Christ, Jesus wants we Christians to believe in him through faith and that's what we Christians do moreover Jesus was the founder of Christianity. I believe you Muslim do same for your prophet. |
Difference Between Jesus And Mohammed Jesus and Mohammed lived in two different periods. Mohammed is known to have lived 600 years after Jesus. Jesus and Mohammed had different views and also propagated different philosophies. First of all, let us look at the death of the two great souls. Jesus is known to have resurrected from His grave on the third day after the Romans crucified Him. On the other hand, Mohammed is known to have died in the arms of one of his wives. When Jesus heard God speak to Him, He went into the desert very boldly to be tempted. But when Mohammed heard God speaking to him, he was frightened and even wanted to commit suicide. Jesus has called Himself the Son of God, and Mohammed called himself as the messenger of God. When Jesus got instructions directly from God, Mohammed received instructions from an angel. Jesus had never married whereas Mohammed had wives. Jesus is known to have performed many miracles which included raising people from the dead, healing people, and calming storms. Mohammed is not known to have performed any miracles in his life. Jesus is known to have never sinned in His life. Mohammed had taught that salvation was possible by following the Five Pillars of Islam. He said that salvation depended on one’s own efforts. Jesus had taught that God created human beings for a relationship with Himself, and He adopted human beings into His abode as His beloved children. While Jesus was teaching love, grace, forgiveness, and tolerance, Mohammed is said to have gotten permission from Allah to wage war for protecting the religion and uniting the people. Summary: 1.Jesus is known to have resurrected from His grave on the third day after the Romans crucified Him. On the other hand, Mohammed is known to have died at the hands of one of his wives. 2.Jesus has called Himself the Son of God, and Mohammed called himself as the messenger of God. 3.Jesus is known to have performed many miracles, but Mohammed is not known to have performed any miracles in his life. 4.Mohammed was a mortal man who sinned like others, but Jesus is known to have never sinned in His life. 5.Jesus had never married whereas Mohammed had more than 20 wives. |
ogododo:If na so we Christians go draw our own redline way Muslims no go cross. What rubbish who received insults more Jesus or Mohammed? Or because we Christians choose peace? We go turn this nation to Israel vs Palestine just now for them. |
To be sincere such is life as a Nigerian. We all here are condemning the act but deep inside us, some people are actually happy for what happened. Muslims have told me Jesus doesn't exist, we didn't stone them neither burn them. Not all Muslims are bad I know but majority of them are violent. Even in the South - East I school there, I see them the way the Igbos interact with them (nobody ever have or has bad motives against them. I don't think this country needs to go on as one any longer let's all carry our crosses. The country needs to split so next time they kill a citizen of another country we know it's war they want and that they will get. |
AAA593:Why una no like positive news self even though no be true self? |
President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday appealed to the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) to consider the plight of students and call off the ongoing strike. Disclosing this in a statement Femi Adesina quoted Buhari as urging students in Nigeria’s public tertiary institutions to exercise patience as the government strives to address the nagging issues in the nation’s university system within the ambit of the resources available. He made the appeal at the 19th National Productivity Day and the conferment of the National Productivity Order of Merit Award (NPOM) on 48 eminent Nigerians and organisations in both the public and private sectors, for their high productivity, hardwork and excellence. President Buhari recalled that he had earlier directed the Chief of Staff, Hon. Ministers of Labour and Employment, Education, Finance, Budget and National Planning to immediately bring all parties to the negotiation table to again critically look at the grey areas in the demands of ASUU and in fact all other University based labour unions. On the theme of this year’s celebration ‘‘Achieving Higher Productivity through Improved Education System,’’ the President pledged that the Federal Government would continue to do everything possible to uplift the standard of the educational system in the country, adding that his administration recognised that the future of any nation is contingent on the standard of its educational system. ‘‘Therefore, if we desire to transform Nigeria into a competitive, strong, vibrant, productive and sustainable economy, improving our educational system should be accorded the highest priority.’’ Highlighting notable achievements in the education sector including the drastic reduction of the number of out of school children from 10.1million in 2019 to 6.9 million in 2020, automatic employment for graduates of education, review of the retirement age of teachers from 60 to 65 years, among others, the President said more still needs to be done. ‘‘Quality educational system is good not just for the national economy; it is also good for the citizens. ‘‘Ignoring the productivity dimension of education would endanger the prosperity of future generations, with widespread repercussions for poverty and social exclusion. ‘‘It will be difficult to improve our economic performance and overall productivity, without improving our educational system. ‘‘Government notes the emergency situation in our educational system with particular reference to the dearth of qualified and dedicated teachers to enhance the quality of teaching and learning at all levels of our educational system,’’ he said. To address these challenges, President Buhari said his administration has reviewed the retirement age of teachers from 60 to 65 years, while years of service have now been moved from 35 to 40 years to encourage more graduates to join the teaching profession. Similarly, the President said the government has also approved a special salary scale for teachers in Basic and Secondary schools including provisions for rural posting allowance, Science teachers allowance and peculiar allowance, while prioritising timely promotion and prompt payment of salaries. Furthermore, the President said the reintroduction of bursary award to education students in universities and Colleges of Education comes with assurance of automatic employment upon graduation as well as payment of stipends to Bachelor of Education students. Congratulating all the awardees for their various accomplishments and well deserved recognition, the President said they have been carefully selected from a multitude of competitors, saying ‘‘this award should spur you to greater heights.’’ The President commended the Chairman and members of the National Productivity Order of Merit Award Committee, including the management and staff of National Productivity Centre for a job well done, urging the recipients of the merit award and Nigerians to make productivity their watchword. In his remarks, the Minister of Labour and Employment, Senator Chris Ngige said since the inception of the award in 1991, 382 individuals and 97 organisations have been honoured with the NPOM. Dr Stella Adadevoh and Mr Babatunde Lawal, received posthumous awards at the 2019/2020 edition of the National Productivity Day. Dr Adadevoh, who died on August 19, 2014, was recognised for her outstanding performance in the fight against the spread of the Ebola virus in the country while Lawal, who until his death on November 6, 2020 served as Permanent Secretary in the Cabinet Affairs Office. Babatunde, an economist by training with bias in fiscal policy analysis, management and strategic planning, was commended for his ‘‘thoroughness and paying keen attention to every detail’’ during his tenure as permanent secretary in the Federal Civil Service. Other recipients include the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Abdullahi Adamu; the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha; immediate past Director-General of the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), Dr Chike Ihekweazu; Lagos State Commissioner for Health, Prof Akin Abayomi; Chairman and Founder, BUA Group, Abdusamad Rabiu; Chairman of Globacom, Mike Adenuga Jnr; Professor Stanley Okolo, Director General of the West African Health Organization (WAHO) and Allen Onyema, Chairman/Chief Executive Officer of Air Peace, among others. https://www.vanguardngr.com/2022/05/buhari-to-ASUU-call-off-strike/amp/

Good day Nairalanders, Please involving this ASUU strike, is just so crazy and stupid for the government to turn deaf ears to education. Buhari aside, Ngige and Adamu is not worthy of a minister at all. ASUU has been on strike for long and this man didn't even call them to a meeting to discuss the issue is that not wickedness, that apart the person I will blame most Osinbajo he of all people should know the importance of education, he is the Vice president they is no action from him at all I believe he would have made a step to organize a meeting with ASUU to level the ground and ease their dispute with FG for students sake, we all know Buhari is not capable to discuss such issues and I feel that's why Osinbajo was made vice and also that's why he has ministers. These men are not suppose to talk about presidency cause they failed the country massively. I also feel NANS should be in there with them on the negotiation table because we students are also stakeholders in the Universities and they will help facilitate the process. For me that's my own opinion, what's yours? |
benqo01:Funny enough the courses I got carry overs I ended up making A or B not even C so is not the end of the World just do your best and the rest we follow up. |
Lordofalmajiri:You are too correct |
LibertyRep:You said achieving ASUU will surely achieve for their selves and not for the students you think the government don't know? If it was for the students FG for release but na for ASUU own interests. FG greedy, ASUU greedy too the best option is to strike indefinitely then when your demands are meet you resume but no they first go for one, two now three months it's as of there are catching cruise with the students eventually after this three months they will go four months. I don't blame them it's we the students I blame we allowed all this. |
icuminpiss:Endsars or Endasuustrike |
ASUU no get sense just declare indefinite strike when Government meet your demands you call it off why giving students false hopes when we know after that 3 months you will extend it, just go indefinitely. ASUU no like work FG no like pay it's as simple as that. |
See I go clear una the truth FG no get time for education same as ASUU non of them get time for education at all, guy 3 months for what atleast just say indefinite cause 3 months sounds heartless oo. |
Without overhauling that squad like changing up to 6 players I don't see any relevant changes for next season. |
Brace yourself lads the hour has come for us to know if ASUU are going to end or drop that indefinite strike nuke (which they are 98% likely to drop). |
Thanks guys , it tastes similar to honey |
Please what's the name of this fruit or whatever it is, it tastes good though.
|
Brace yourself people we are about to be hit by ASUU again. I no go lie comrade no day see front again even with the fence way I climb, let's call the elders.
|
LordJoffrey:Revitalization is one of the reasons ASUU are on strike so it's a welcome development. But still FG na failure. |
No matter how long it lives, the Greatest Lion will eventually die miserably. That's the world. At their Peak, they rule, chase other animals, catch, devour, gulp and leave their crumbs for hyenas. But age comes fast. The old Lion can't hunt, can't kill or defend itself. It roams and roars until it runs out of luck. It will be cornered by the hyenas, nibbled at and eaten alive by them. They won't even let it die before it is dismembered. Life is short. Power is ephemeral. Physical beauty is short-lived, I have seen it in lions. I have seen it in old people. Everyone who lives long enough will become weak and very vulnerable at some point. Therefore, let us be humble. Help the sick, the weak, the vulnerable and most importantly never forget that we will leave the stage one day.

Channels Television The President of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), Sunday Asefon on Thursday suggested that the union is prepared to hit the streets to protest the strike embarked by the Academic Staff Union of Universities. Mr Asefon made the comment while speaking on Channels Television’s Sunrise Daily. According to Mr Asefon, the government appears not to be interested in ending the strike as focus shifts to elections in 2023. He referenced the protests in Benin-city embarked by some university students. “We are talking about education, we are talking about life,” he said. “Our life is no longer being discussed by the leaders, these leaders that we elected; but rather, their focus now is about election. This election that we are talking about is because of their parochial and selfish interest. “We are battle ready, the highest they can do is to shoot us,” he said. “If they shoot, they will ask their police to shoot us, if we die, the generation coming will know we died because of fighting for them. They would also know that they shot us because they are preparing for election. But we need to take action” President of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), Sunday Asefon, appeared on Channels Television's Sunrise Daily on May 5, 2022. President of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), Sunday Asefon, appeared on Channels Television’s Sunrise Daily on May 5, 2022. Mr Asefon noted that the government should stop playing politics with the ASUU issue. “If you have an opportunity to meet the ASUU and federal government, federal government will tell you they inherited the problem from PDP, the ASUU will tell you this negotiation has been on since when Jonathan was there but what we believe as students is that government is continuous; they should be able to fine tune and find a solution to this matter,” he said. “We should not be at the receiving end every time and as such, they should stop using us to play politics.” On March 14, the union extended the industrial action by another two months to allow the government meet all of its demands. The academics are seeking improved welfare, revitalisation of public universities and academic autonomy among other demands. One bone of contention for the academics is the non-payment of university revitalisation funds, which amounts to about N1.1 trillion. But the Federal Government has said it doesn’t have the money to pay such an amount, citing low oil prices during the Muhammadu Buhari administration. The agreement was reportedly struck in 2009. Another is the issue of the Integrated Payroll and Personnel Information System (IPPIS). The academics have proposed an alternative payroll system, the University Transparency and Accountability Solution (UTAS). THE NATION ASUU strike: Negotiation panel report ready ASUU strike: Negotiation panel report ready By Frank Ikpefan, Abuja on May 4, 2022 The committee set up by the Federal Government to re-negotiate the 2009 agreements with the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) and other university-based unions have submitted its interim report to the Ministry of Education. Labour and Employment Minister Chris Ngige, who disclosed this yesterday, said the Education Ministry has already commenced work on the report. However, hours after, public university workers under the aegis of the National Association of Academic Technologists (NAAT), said that their ongoing warning strike is now indefinite. The union said they had adopted a “No Pay, No work” stance in response to government’s “No work, No pay policy.” The re-negotiation of the agreements is one of the demands of the four university-based unions….ASUU, Senior Staff Association of Nigeria Universities (SSANU), Non-Academic Staff Union of Educational and Associated Institutions (NASU) and NAAT. Other demands are non-deployment of the University Transparency and Accountability Solution, non-release of revitalisation funds for universities, non-payment of earned allowances for university teachers and shortfall of payment as a result of the Integrated Personnel and Payroll Information System (IPPIS). The seven-member renegotiation committee is headed by Prof. Emeritus Nimi Briggs, the pro-chancellor, of Alex Ekwueme Federal University, Ndufu-Alike Ikwo, Ebonyi State. ASUU was however absent when the committee was inaugurated on March 7, 2022. It had insisted that government should commence implementation of the existing pact instead of wasting time through the committee. When contacted yesterday evening, ASUU President Emmanuel Osodeke said the union was not aware the Briggs-led committee had submitted its report. But Ngige, who said that discussions were ongoing to end strikes by the unions, added that he would meet with either SSANU or NASU leadership tomorrow. He did not say if he also contacted ASUU or not. The minister said: “Discussions are ongoing, not only with ASUU but with all the other education unions. On Thursday I will meet either SSANU or NASU. “I am still waiting for the Education Ministry to give me the final report they have from the ad -hoc committee we put in place on the condition of service for the 2009 agreements. “The report is for every education union. The chairman told me that they have put in an interim report. The education ministry is working on the interim report. “I will make contact with the ministry to know where they are because they have subjected whatever they are doing to an inter-agency committee work which is the right thing to do.” But ASUU President Osodeke said the report would be of no value to university teachers if did not expressly state that the government should sign the agreement renegotiated in May last year. His words: ”Except the report is saying that they (government) should sign the agreement then fine. But if they (panel) have submitted another thing, then they don’t want this issue (strike) to be resolved because they have not discussed anything meaningful with us. “Anything that has to do with the agreement (2021 renegotiated agreement) they have not told us. ”They (panel) called us for a meeting and they told us that they went around a number of ministries, National Salaries, Incomes and Wages Commission and had a discussion with them and got their opinion. ”We told them that that was not the issue. We have our agreement with a team set up by the government. That is what we will listen to. “The President asked the Minister of Labour and Employment to organise a committee and if you are calling for what you have from ministries that is not part of our negotiations. :” So, if they submitted anything that is different from what we negotiated without informing us then it has no value.” Also yesterday, NAAT said that laboratories, workshops, farms and others in the universities would remain shut till the government pays its members’ salaries. NAAT President Ibeji Nwokoma advised members of the union to remain undaunted, and not allow the government’s “divide and rule” tactics to dampen their morale. Nwokoma said: “Today (yesterday), our Union and ASUU have been singled out for the implementation of the policy of “No work, No Pay” policy. “Comrades, your President and indeed the National Leadership stand with you in this trying moment. Our strike action is legitimate and follows every due process. “We, therefore, stand on “No pay, No work”. This divide and rule policy of Government shall not work. Be rest assured that we shall come out better, stronger with every dime paid before or on resumption of work.” Source: https://thenationonlineng.net/ASUU-strike-negotiation-panel-report-ready/ |
Some Nigerians I don't just understand them, the money is with him as long has bank has said it is successful it's with him, even from his reply the guy na crook. At least I expected something like "Oh I will check once I receive alert I will resend it back to you or lemme check my balance and send it back to you" Why are some people just wicked. |
Kriss216:So let's make it violence for violence then. |
Jashub:You are correct, I don't see this country progressing anytime soon, imagine ASUU on strike and these guys are busy with election for next year no one even cares. |
Good day Nairalanders!! Please my question goes like this. We all know the problems going on in this country, commodities getting more expensive as each day passes, I remember back in 2019 a bread we usually buy #300- #350 is now #900 I don't want to go into details more cause we all know the situation of things here. Now the Government as we know hasn't been the worst (they are more than worst), they keep furstrating the masses with their wicked and evil schemes. So now who are we to blame more, The Government or We the Masses (that always complain and accept whatever they throw at us cause I believe if we are seriously pissed all these useless behaviors of the so-called politicians would have ended long ago). So what's your opinion? |
BOOKWORMLUX:I swear only one day of serious protest FG head go straight but those NANS are politicians themselves. |
citizens here wish him a injury free season. Omo city still need good defenders Sha, especially that Walker wing
