Farmerakinloye6: my regular fungicide is SAAF + insecticide which I spray at least once in a week, and any day it rains. Once my tomato is exactly a month on the field, I will introduce ortival top which is also fungicide, and start Alternating it with SAAF. Note Both ortival top and SAAF are fungicide, so when I use SAAF, I will not use ortival top. I heard SAAF post harvest index is around 40 days meaning it should only be used in the early stages of the crop. |

I watched the video
There is a fundamental problem that you dont challenge leaders according to islamic shariah/ teaching or sunnah which is suited to a form of goverment apart from democracy or military, this ideology is ineffective with democracy or military and has produced selfish leaders that has been left unchallenged and it has degraded their society making a lot of people uneducated, even islamic education nothern region has been known for.
Islamic/eastern education and africa form of education made their region flourished well that they dont want to be associated with southern Nigeria during pre amalgamation
My point is that even with the revenue you claim they enjoy, it only stops at their leaders desk leading to lack of proper education. It can only get worse if this ideology does not change or they refuse democracy |

I feel for people in northern Nigeria. We in the south claims they caused it themselves but lack of proper education is causing the masses to suffer. It is what the political leaders decides, for selfish reasons, they follow |

Wow! History is good but regarding Lokoja I believe it is a lost cause if you have ever been there then you will know it is out of kabba province. Nupe is a cousin to the yorubas so her occupation of jebba north is also out but yorubas are at home there, if you have ever visited there you wont know the difference between jebba north and south. The most confused ruler in Nigeria is the emir of Ilorin, he knows the town is out of his grasp apart from the title of Ilorin ruler, emir, there is no difference between oyo town and Ilorin town infact every institution in Ilorin has been 'yorubanized' with so much yoruba influence. Infact most Ilorin indigenes regard the ruler as 'oba'. Despite kwara being a multiethnic state with Ilorin her capital the lingua franca in Ilorin is yoruba.
The strategy yoruba elders used in Ilorin can be used in Nigeria, educate and make your citizens be aware of their history then can a true yoruba nation or i will rather call it yoruba region be fully achieved |

OluchiDelly: What's d a.i in greenland.? Sry for the late response Greenland is a bio nematicide. It produces beneficial fungi that consumes the nematodes. In short, it is a fungi. Find in the attached picture its a.i It can only be applied before or during planting

dutch4u: Thanks for all the tutorial and guidelines. Please can someone spray the land with worm force with sprayer before transplanting instead of putting it into hole one by one? Or mix fungicide with insecticide to spray the before transplanting to avoid nematodes? My method is that I put my nematicide into my spray tank and spray hole to hole. Putting dry nematicide into hole to hole maybe tedious but diluting with water and spraying into hole to hole will be a lot easier. Hole to hole is the best way I learnt from experience people |

DeLaRue: Picture taken today at 69 days. Compared to a neighbour's Platinum tomato variety of similar age, my variety is only about half as tall. The fruits on my tomatoes are bigger. We are going to compare total yield of both varieties at the end of the season. Platinum is a formidable variety, buy I think my variety will give it a run for its money. From experience, comparing farms should take a lot of things in cognisance 1. Are both lands fertile same way? Farm close to each other may have almost thesame fertilty 2. Did both of you follow thesame agronomic practices ? 3. Did you plant thesame time? Aside, What was the total N , P and K you used? Once I transplant am planning to use supergro with both my pesticides every week, is this ok? Seems your staking method is different, can you please share your method |
Agriculture › Re: Step By Step Improve Way Of Cultivating TOMATOES by vonxe: 5:32am On May 05, 2021 |
DeLaRue: 20-10-10 is manageable in the early stages of tomato plants life. However, once the plants start showing signs of flowering, the high-nitrogen 20-10-10 should be replaced with a fertilizer with a higher phosphorus and lower nitrogen rate. This is also the time you should be getting ready to apply Calcium Nitrate.
Dont wait until fruits are set before you start applying Calcium Nitrate otherwise blossom end rot will affect some of the tomatoes. Once a tomato fruit has BER, there's no remedy. By the way, I feel some tomato varieties are probably more susceptible than others. Something to think about in your next planting.
In order to prevent newer fruits from succumbing to BER, you need to up your Calcium Nitrate (preferable) or CalMag game.
CN applied through the roots is probably the best medium term option but it takes several days for plants fully absorb it, so not idea when urgency is a factor. A faster option would be to mix at a ratio of 1 tablespoon CN in 4 litres of water and spray on top and under the plant leaves. If you're using a 12 litre pump, that would be 3 tablespoon. Don't heap the spoons as that will take you above the recommended dose which can result in leaf burn and harm your plant.
All the best. I put grinded Limestone powder (Lime) as a basal fertilizer? Will it do what calmag or CN would do? If yes, i put 120kg of lime in half acre, is the quantity enough? |

Very important question!!! @ritzyluv @Farmerakinloye6 How much did you guys spent on staking? Am doing three plots with a total of 4500 stands, Only bamboo will cost 30k, those who will slice the bamboo 10k, those who will erect the bamboo sticks 10k.
My proposed total for staking is 50k!!! What is yours |
