My dear friend, i can finally observe symptoms of trepidation in your composure which is translating into geometrical proportions of an uncontrollable state of confusion. If you may recall, you chose without being coerced to disregard my first post which thereafter led to an amiable exchange of posts between you and I on this hilarious thread. Thus you started the pestering. I am glad to see smileys in your post which evidently show that you are learning.

Thanks for commending my post. It is a cheap way to convince me that you are not dumb and your brain has commenced work. Lest I forget, you need not proffer excuses for your demeaning posts on the other thread. It is also inappropriate for you to refer to your supposedly well composed posts on NL as falsehoods. Henceforth Nlanders will cease to take your posts seriously. You are definitely a man with a wobbly and unstable character. So sad. Moving forward, kindly learn to be responsible for your actions.

Take care Johnny. Do have a productive day reading your books.
You see one of the characteristics I am noted for is my brutal honesty and unwillingness to curry favor or care about people's disposition to the truth about me. So I will say it again, some of my threads on NL are outright lies. If you think it makes me less moral, too bad for you (I really don't care). If people will not take me serious, too bad for them. Besides, I am sure that over 50% of threads on NL are falsehoods. So who is deceiving who?

And the only other reason I replied to this post is that like a sick dog, you have gone back to your vomit. Your latest post is a far departure from your penultimate one, which was clear and relatively straight to the point. That is the problem: you are, I believe, trying too hard to put in "big" words that do not necessarily communicate something new or add to your position; instead, they impede clarity. Check it yourself and you will see.

I stumbled on a thread of yours while surfing through the sections of this beloved forum and I immediately identified the reason why your capacity to understand is limited. Incessant abuse of your body organs will result in continuous fatigue of the brain. I concur with your conclusions that I definitely cannot recognize what I am doing wrong and the reason is you have failed to honour my request. Barring vituperations from co-nairalanders, kindly HIGHLIGHT words for clarifications or synonyms. Until then you will only but see mistakes. A perfect example is a man with a blurred vision.

Thanks for the referenced piece of literature. I will expedite action to purchase the book.
Okay since you will not stop pestering me, I will oblige you of the little proofreading skills I have. By the way, the fact you do not agree with me should not necessitate your use of ad hominem attacks on my person. I have posted several outright falsehoods on NL so my previous posts are not a good gauge of my personality or intellectual abilities.

On a second thought, you latest post is so improved from your previous ones that I will give you the challenge to discover for yourself what you have done wrong before I offer any suggestions. Trust me, this will be more intellectually fulfilling for you.Best Regards

I swear they dont pay me nada. . lol wish they did though(cause it could be hard out here for a p.i.m.p. . . )

However i just want stability for Naija, stability in policies, reforms,Politics. .

U dont know how important stability is to economic growth. .

If GJ stays on beyond 2011. . it will signal good things to the international Investors

More importantly there will be no fear of policy summer saults

I mean this same Finance Minister will be there for maybe 3yrs and follow his programs to the logical conclusion
set up the sovereign wealth fund and so on

Besides i support the Lagos state Governor enthusiastically. . .PDP and AC dont mix
Your position is good in theory. It assumes that GEJ is unlike other politicians and has the best interest of Nigerians at heart. The problem is that GEJ has not done anything to give us a reason to give him the benefit of the doubt. It seems you are acting on faith. In terms of raw facts, GEJ is not a significant departure from OBJ or Yaradua in terms of is approach to politics and what can be inferred as his disposition to the citizenry i.e. many politicians do not see citizens as the repositories of political power. Except you know something we all do not know, I will say your optimism about GEJ is rather unfounded. Is there some insight you have that informs your disposition? Or have been consulting in the traditional way?

Universities: I would mostly privatize this, and grant autonomy to the existing public schools, of course with firm guidelines in place. Nonsense ideas like post-UME would not be allowed, but I will encourage partnerships with corporate bodies, and allow them to charge whatever fees they like. I'll also audit them regularly , and grant only provisional accreditation for certain courses. Anybody who wants to go to university in my Nigeria, should pay for it. Of course, this should be adequately supported by government scholarships, bursaries, and student loans.
Very elitist remark. You people that have not seen poverty should stop trying to makes rules for the rest of us. If your idea is implemented, at least 70% of potential university students will not go to school.
PoliticsRe: Jakumu English Nonsense. You Do Not Know How To Write English.(junk English) by VPersie: 3:02am On Jul 13, 2010
Do you understand the word REPRIMAND? That is exactly the motive of my earlier post. I sincerely believe this would not be too big a grammar for you and your cohorts to understand. Kindly define clarity? The fonts used were not maligned nor misconstrued for effective understanding as a simple piece of written english. Should you have queries or require further clarifications, please do not hesitate to highlight the affected words for due explanations where necessary.

The choice of association is absolutely free. But time will bring to the fore, the opportunity cost foregone for independent appraisal to ascertain if the right choice was made or not. Lest I forget, kindly take the warning of Ileke-Idi seriously. Do have a stress free day.
You just made the same mistakes again. Without trying to be insulting, your case is almost hopeless because you cannot even see what you are doing wrong. Please read "On Writing Well" by William Zinsser.
PoliticsRe: Fg To Audit, Strengthen Five Troubled Institutions, fmbn, Nerfund, Nexim, Others by VPersie: 2:52am On Jul 13, 2010
It not an avenue to embezzle because if these GOVT owned institutions are not well capitalized they cannot perform their functions well
and help u or me. . . .

so its to be lauded if it ever gets done

For example u cannot expect the Federal Mortgage bank of Nigeria,to give u a cheap loan/mortgage to buy a house today
If its capitalisation is very low. . .
If its recapitalized to the tune of say N25billion. . then it can originate more loans to Nigerians

same with other Institutions listed
I find your blanket support for every GEJ policy very fishy. HOw much dem dey pay you?
PoliticsRe: Jakumu English Nonsense. You Do Not Know How To Write English.(junk English) by VPersie: 4:17am On Jul 12, 2010
@ Becomrich0,
In as much as you have deliberately chosen to extinguish and disregard the artistic and eloquent writing skills of Mr. Jakumo, i will request you save your energy and channel your queries appropriately to the most affected quarters such as WAEC, JAMB, NECO etc. Why are antonyms, synonyms, lexis and structure a requisite section to pass the aforementioned statutory exams into tertiary institutions?

I am provoked by your libellous/vilifying jabs and aspersions at the person of Jakumo. If you choose to write in basic english language, so be it. Whilst we were growing up in our formative years in secondary school, i remember vividly we were encouraged to imbibe a reading culture with a nerve and alertness to identify new words and their meanings.

The quality of written english in your posts are alarming. I will suggest you download Jakumo's posts with due permission from the moderator or administrator to up your skills.

To clarify your misinformed understanding of the term communication, please note that like begets like. Visit up country settlements be it in the north, south, west or east, you will find out that many so called scholars who passed through the tiers of education in our beloved country may still not understand your proposed basic english. Without pre-empting Jakumo's response, i will assume he believes the likes of you and I will be proactive to seek understanding to words used in his posts that may seem new for insertion in our note of vocabularies.

My 2cents.
Seriously, this makes little or no sense. I do not know Jakumo, but I know he has a reputation on NL. However, the sample of Jakumo's writing that Becomerich used is a pathetic example of writing. And you are about just as bad in your defense of Jakumo. Some of the secrets to good writing are clarity and proper usage of words, something both you and Jakumo seem incapable of accomplishing.
