IT'S difficult for the Germans to go anywhere without the obligatory war references. The 'Sowetan' newspaper went a bit far this week, however, by suggesting that the new, improved Bastian Schweinsteiger had the same "work attitude of Stefan Effenberg and the fearsome aura of Adolf Hitler" before the semi-final with Spain.

A bit much, certainly, and other South African newspapers have rounded on their rival, expressing moral outrage at such a statement.

Certainly, it's pretty shocking to insinuate that Effenberg's work-rate could have pushed them over the line if he'd been around in war-time.

Umaru Yar'Adua, who was described by Paul Adujie as 'uncorruptible' before he assumed the presidency, also flirted with radical politics in the form of the PRP before his late elder brother, an associate of another 'uncorruptible' military General thief, Olusegun Obasanjo, showed him the RIGHT PATHWAY TO RICHES AND GLORY without sweat. Assuming office as a government official preferably in an executive capacity.

What has this got to do with Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, our new Central Bank Governor? He too has an antecedence with flirtations with radical ideas that would make EDWIN MADUNAGU and BALARABE MUSA green with envy.

The above excerpts gives an insight into Mr Sanusi's thought process and gives some credence to his being tagged 'radical' and this is not helped by his penchant for quoting radical thinkers like Karl Marx, Chomsky, Trotsky, Bala Usman , Omafume Onoge and the Cambridge don, Noriena Hertz.

without a question of doubt this is a very anemic estimate. i am leaning more towards 90 percent. folks you have to remember that craziness is relative. you dont have to be outright crazy to be certified crazy. nigerians are a very peculiar bunch. they all have some kind of mental defect that either makes them extremely hot tempered ( our igbo brothers and hausa brothers should know about this one), extremely morally bankrupt ( fraud, embezzlement, armed robbery, police checkpoint robbery, immigration officer robbery, etc etc), extremely ostentatious (this is a mental defect too), extremely inconsiderate (this falls under sociopathic behavior and includes closing a whole street because they are havin a party), extremely arrogant (this is sociopathic behavior), easily bawled over by material goods (this is sociopathic behavior ).
my point being over 99 percent of nigerians have sociopathic tendencies. this is a mental disorde

I still do not get why Nigerians deceive themselves that there is any semblance of practiced democracy in Nigeria. Is it that the failure of our country has so hunted us that we are prepared to cling to fantasies of credible elections so we do not lose our sanity. Lets be clear: Almost no election is free or fair in Nigeria. Election in Nigeria is not a matter of party ideology or candidate capability, its a matter of which party is more able to rig than the other and which judge decides your case at the electoral tribunal. Politicians, especially those in PDP, do not necessarily need your vote to come to power. If they did, they will take the governance of this country more seriously.

Dele Momodu may be an underdog right now but time will tell. My first pick is GJ, because the power of incumbent is huge. After that is Dele Momodu. He is more appealing to every corner of Nigeria than Pat Utomi. First of all, he's from Edo, second of all he's more of Yoruba [I guarantee him 60% of Yoruba votes, he's both Christian and Muslim (he will appeal to atleast 40% of the Northerners and then the least group that will never vote for him still has 10% of theirs to vote for him because of their son [Basket-mouth]. Utomi will never win presidency in Nigeria, he will only have huge votes nowhere more than Iboland. The South-south people know that the camaraderie between them and Ibos is just an affected interplay between any prey and predator out there. It’s amazing that despite the malicious moves by some faceless people to portray heroic stunts of Dele Momodu as villain (airoju and airaye ko ni je ki gbogbo won se gbaun gbaun kiri jigba – nitori Dele, se emu pe opon ti sun ni?), he has never been alleged for any malfeasance or venal malpractices order than using his God-given adroit and cumbersome prolific instincts. Dele’s case wasn’t like those opportunists out-there, he became success; virtually by dints of much hardworking. For those out-there pointing fingers and dubbed Dele as "Idolizing Pen-Robbers," why can’t you blame FORBES MAGAZINE too? It lists Columbian, Mexican drug-barons and other people with questionable acts on its 2010 world billionaires’ pyramid. What we need to do is to eradatice discrimination and myopic judgements.

People who are not married should not be seen as losers. The whole thing is a scam. The institute of marriage is supposed to be for people who want to have something sacred. But then if you decide NOT to get married, you become the outcast!

Party invitations - Come with your spouse
Adopt a kid and the villagers society would not accept him/her
Have a kid without a husband and you'll be the slut!
Be single and hang around married men and you'll become the husband snatcher!

Jeez, what if I dont want to get married because I know I can't keep those vows? Nobody cares!

So people get married to make the society happy, and then break the vows to make themselves happy . . . It's a viscious circle I tell ya!
