Well if that's the case why don't you ask someone to explain to you?
Nothing wrong in that!
Avedonn: I don't understand why people always lay emphasis on skin colour when describing an accomplishment. A woman is a woman whether Black, Hispanic, Asian or white.
When he reacted after you Tinubu media crew stole his childhood pic and claimed it was Tinubu- you guys blasted him.
Now he is good because he supports your Messiah's plunder project.
15trn that would have been used to support manufacturers and exporters is being used to build a road that will end up as a Toll Road. While the old road from Calabar to Lagos is lying in ruins.
You opened a thread last month to boast about how the Naira appreciation was the fastest in 15yrs.
Don't you think it's time to post another thread about the reverse gear that the Naira has been on for 3 weeks now??
Or that will get you excommunicated from APC media crew?
Mtsheww
richie240: **The sin of his brother has turned his own, okwea??
**In one breath, you confess that the crime was alleged, in the same breath you say he has committed crime against humanity. In Asari Dokubo's voice, ''70 years old man!!!" In this case 73 years old man behaving like an lliterate.
If Reno dexides to sue u now, you and your brethren will throw uo the tribal card.
I love the way you avoided ACTUALLY ANSWERING the questions and went on a personal attack against Rufai himself.
Perhaps now you have gotten that out of your system.
You can now answer some if not all of the questions.
Especially as you responded as a govt mouthpiece - pls enlighten us.
Questions are requests for information. That you behave like nobody has a right to ask questions against the govt's policies tells us all we need to know about you
emkz: Rufai claims there were 57 active businesses that were impacted. Since he is now the mouthpiece of those businesses, can he list them?
As far as September 2023, talks began with HiTech on the project, where was Rufai Oseni? Why didn't he raise the alarm then, WHY NOW?
While raising the question about Landmark properties and alignment, Rufai Oseni refused to admit whether Landmark violated the right of way. He also did not state whether Landmark illegally utilized the asset in question. He also did not address the fact that only a marginal portion of Landmark was affected.
When the initial propaganda failed, they shifted to EIA and EISA. The Ministry of Environment already said they issued a waiver. But Rufai Oseni, who requested access to the audited books of someone's private enterprise, is not satisfied.
He also claims the owner of HiTech is Tinubu's personal friend. Does he want us to discuss his boss' personal friends and associates? Did they not give media protection to Emefiele, Okowa, PDP and Atiku? If they didn't, why were they hell bent on humiliating Tinubu with their boss even writing to accuse Tinubu of Noriega moment. If there was no personal or business interest for them, why did they take it so personal?
Then they accused the minister of staying in Eko Hotel and Suites; what has that got to do with anything?
On the surface, Rufai Oseni and Arise News have serious questions; but the questions are not balanced, because they have not asked Landmark questions. They have clearly taken a side and they are fighting for either personal or business interests. Yesterday, it became clear when they interviewed a former Commissioner of Police. The conversation was accusatory and not intermediatory. Answers provided by the government are never acceptable to them, but they believe everything the Landmark CEO says.
Rufai Oseni, you claim to fact check everything. Please fact-check whether Landmark rightfully owned that land and whether he was cleared to build there.
One more point to make: you claim there was no stakeholder engagement before demolition. David Umahi sat down in your studio to say that he met with the CEO of Landmark and that they adjusted their plans to spare his properties. You also asked why properties not previously marked for demolition and outside the right of way were demolished. As a journalist, you ought to be aware that notices of demolition were sent to all affected parties and they complied.
How come only Landmark is complaining?
What is Arise News/Rufai Oseni's personal/business interest here?
PS: When a former editor and a firmer executive director of PUNCH newspapers had a fight over one of them allegedly collecting millions of naira from corrupt politicians and businessmen to give them positive press coverage and kill negative stories, both of them were forced out of the media house. It became clear that some journalists used the media to promote personal and business interests. So if you see any media house seemingly pursuing or protecting someone's business interest, even at the expense of the public good, money is involved.
How come Channels TV, NTA, TVC or AIT are not fighting or protecting any interests? Why certain journalists from certain media houses?
Rufai Oseni asked to see the account statements of someone's private business. Can Rufai Oseni publish his own account statements so we are convinced he did not receive a PR contract to use his platform to demarket the coastal road project
You and everybody else in Nigeria know Bello is a thief.
The real issue is why are our law enforcement bodies so incompetent, inept and lazy that they can't use the law to get these people to go to jail.
No matter how rich you are in The West, once you steal public money- you will go to jail. It doesn't matter how many $10,000 an hour lawyers you hire.
You must visit that jail.
And that occurs because there are brilliant lawyers working for the govt who can match their brilliant counterparts working for the crooks.
In Nigeria, most govt lawyers are 4th class materials and cannot match the brain power of the SANS that defend the crooks
englishmart: We thought the leadership problem Nigeria suffers is as a result of the fact that most of our leaders are old, medieval and incapacitated. We sought to have younger people with brighter, innovative and contemporaneous ideas. Yahaya Bello was barely 40 when he took over the affairs of Kogi state, ever since then, all he did was plunder the masses of his state while he lived in opulence. Young people are wicked and have an unhealthy desperation to amass wealth even at the expense of their lives. The people of Kogi state who were heartlessly robbed are the victims. Yahaya theifllo is the devious aggressor here.
It's difficult to accept that a person who can read and write can be as ignorant as you appear to be.
How can a person with a functional brain say that rape has no negative effect on a person if they are male?
You are a disgrace to both your primary and secondary school
I don't believe you went to a university.
EreluRoz: Some nairaland boys wish they were in the young teenager's place. I've read comments like that from them.
I'm sure the boy don't even want her arrested. Men will never report rape they enjoy the sex hence the reason I don't believe in men's rape kos it has no negative effect on them.
Of course, you being his first son and knowing him better than everybody else makes your statement valid
ManirBK: President BAT, will NEVER ever allow U.S. & French Military presence in Nigeria. They're major sources of ConfIicts & instabilities in all African countries.
UncleAyo wants to pretend he did not see APC thugs beat and turn back Igbos and light skinned yorubas at last year's election.
UncleAyo wants to pretend he has not heard the open secret in Alausa about making C of O a document that Igbos only hear about and look upon but are never granted.
UncleAyo keep on pretending not to notice that Igbos that have been living in peace in Lagos since after the war have been treated like enemies by the evil party APC.
They hire a token Igbo to put in their cabinet to "prove" diversity.
Mtcheww
UncleAyo: Repeatedly saying the same thing again and again for years without proper action to back it up. Isn't that psychotic?
Shouldn't SE be developed too, and become a place where all Nigerian will want to go and start a family for her economic opportunities.
Why do you feel its a punishment when they ask you to look home?
Why do you think you're hurting us if the number of people that sell Ghala and lacassera and those that sell dvd and phone accessories (using wheelbarrow) on our streets are reduced?
When we ask you not to encourage terrorism and thuggery in your region so that your region can be viable place for business and people inflow, you called us name, you also tag your people who did not agree with your idea saboteurs and get them murdered.
Even this woman cannot travel home for the fear she can get killed.
Tayo Aina who is arguably Nigeria's biggest Tourism Youtuber doesn't know what he is talking about;on a Tourism issue but you do?
Pls what's your YouTube handle - I want to check something.
If you don't have, then furnish us with your Twitter.
Let's know who is this person that knows more than Tayo about Tourism
PS. A lot of urchnns have landed on this thread. Choii.
motymop: Tayo aina doesn't know what he talking about, those people sponsors his youtube channel, so he cant speak ill of them even though they are breaking the law.
In Europe, and America or even south africa, you can not build on a property just because you bought the land, you need to have the right permit and government approved documents.
Landmark isn't a tourist destination. Landmark is just like a small beach side resort for those who can afford it. and lets not talk about the overpriced and exploiting restaurants and cafe along that oniru beach shorelines
How many tourist visit landmark? majority of customers in landmark are Nigerians
it unfortunate that some people have spined these stuff into a tribal issue but along that shores, lot of restaurants, shops and also shanties will also be destroyed.
if we take into consideration, the effort the lagos and federal government took to reclaim most of that land from the ocean, they spent billions of naira doing that, but then how can you now claim ownership of something that has a master plan and the government have spent billions of dollars in doing.
Have you ever thought why there are no beach front house properties in Nigeria? it is because of the landuse acts and the claim that from 250M from the beach shore, the government owns it.
so why spin the news into something tribal, when you know you are breaking the land use act and also the government master plan
Repeating things that every secondary school student of economics knows is not an achievement just because you changed your font to red.
And considering the fact that you ignored the major reasons of govt corruption and incompetence shows you are either biased or ignorant.
malali: The value of the naira against the dollar will fluctuate due to several reasons.
One key factor is the balance of trade, which is the difference between the value of imports and exports. If Nigeria imports more goods and services than it exports, there will be higher demand for foreign currency (like the dollar) to pay for these imports, causing the naira to weaken against the dollar.
Factors such as inflation,
Changes in interest rates can also impact the exchange rate.
These fluctuations are part of the normal functioning of the foreign exchange market and are influenced by both domestic and global economic conditions.
An idiot with a moniker called Appletek who cannot afford any of the products of that famous company is insulting a man who became a billionaire through enterprise and not through stealing govt money- when he was still asking his mother to buy sweet for him at the mallam store.
Appletek: One idiot from Agulu is talking nonsense. When Tinubu was working on the Eko Atlantic project, that idiot called Peter Obi was busy using Awkuzu Sars to kill Igbo youths.
The idiot with no legacy project in Anambra has now become an expert on coastal road.
Ask Peter Obi and his Obidients why they didn't criticise the construction of the Second Niger bridge despite the bad roads in the South East. But because this Coastal road doesn't include Igboland, Peter has suddenly become an activist.
Written by someone who can't survive 24 without relying on Tech that was either invented in the US or modernized there.
Mtscheww
Ask the daft whether he doesn't use SM?
FB US Linkedin US Yahoo US Google and YouTube US
Let me not continue.
Reminds me of these stupid terrorists that hate US passionately but can't do without their tech as well.
Chukwuka319: The US is a curse to the world, because they thrive best in international relations when nations are embroiled in wars and interethnic conflicts. If wars cease in developing countries, there's no way the American weapons manufacturing sector would thrive. It would ultimately collapse.
And Nigerians have a lot of problems. In six months nobody will remember her face unless you see her walk past you in uniform.
sunsweet33: This is ridiculous…why are they interviewing a minor on national news about being physically assaulted??
They can’t blur her face, they can’t give her a pseudonym, obscure her voice nothing?
Is it how she will enter university and later the workplace?! As the fragile soul who was once Bullied. Are those her parents standing behind her while she makes bullying history on national news?
On Animal Farm- the animals kept bleating four legs good, two legs bad.
Nothing wrong with that but what was abnormal was they kept at it even when the pigs took over power and treated them far worse than the farmer did.
Nigeria is a parallel to that legendary book.
APC political class represents the pigs. They fought with lies and propaganda to defeat PDP alias the farmer.
Once they got power they began to deal with ALL who were not pigs.
Boxer- the horse was the strongest animal on the farm and could have led a rebellion against their tyranny but whenever he was informed of their evil acts he would say that "Napoleon knows best".
Most Christians especially the Yoruba ones are just like Boxer. The only difference is that they chant God knows best and not APC knows best.
Those that support APC at the grassroot level like yourself are also curses to the masses.
Because you are relatively poorer than you were in 2015 but you keep supporting those who are taking away everything you have.
You are the tree that is fighting hard for the Axe to remain in power.
Phuul
chopnaira: The moment Emeka said he shared same political ideology with Peter Obi was the day he became irrelevant in PDP. It's better he moves to LP (PDP lite) so that he can continue to partake in Peter Obi's APGA curse.
Peter Obi swore with the bible in front of Ojukwu that he will never leave APGA. That's the genesis of Peter's wandering in the political wilderness.
To think that immediately below his post someone posted the 1270 rate.
I was waiting for him to show us his own evidence but it's clear he is making noise without any proof.
Na dem.
leokid866: stop pasting lies....black market is below 1k.....even aboki fx wey dey lie no quote 1270......you better go and sell your dollars cause you are only lieing to yourself
These people have little understanding of how things work in the developed world.
I won't be surprised if he continues arguing with you based on his unqualified ignorance.
You can't expect someone who has sold his soul for a supply of pottage in Nigeria to have the capacity to understand governance and legal situations in the West
ivolt: You don't have to lie to defend your party.
The US is a true federal state. The president only controls foreign policy, the military and federal apparatus. Every other other thing belong to the states.
When Trump was in power, many democrat states were openly encouraging and protecting illegal immigrants and he couldn't do jack about it because he lacks the power to dictate to states.
On the issue of "destroying" Trump. Trump has no legal issue with Biden's federal government.
He is being tried by New York. The funny thing is that Trump's popularity rose sharply immediately a possible trial became public knowledge. That is definitely not a way to "destroy" Trump.
And regardless of the outcome of the trial, it won't stop Trump from being sworn in if he wins the November elections.
