Obaaderemi2: Don't mind the idiot. Probably in his head 1979 came before 1953. They read something stupid on the internet and run with it without verifying. And it's shameful that a few of these functional illiterates trying to please the rapacious ibos by being politically correct and 'woke' are Yorubas. Or Maybe they're ibos masquerading under Yoruba names to ease their pains.
When Jakande used the term no-man's-land in 1979 was he referring to the 'present' or to Lagos State? He was talking about the time when in 1954 the British carved out Lagos island as a federal territory. A federal territory that wasn't governed by any of Nigeria's tribes.
Lagos island was under the federal government but ikeja, surulere and other parts that form Lagos State today were under the western region by 1958. So how is Lagos State a no-man's-land? And if Lagos island today is under Lagos State, then tell us how it is a no-man's-land. Lagos is a no man's land. You can go to court if you don't agree |

Politics › Re: Tinubu Drug Case On Peter Obi Petition by Vyzz: 10:22pm On Mar 21, 2023 |
akingangan: Tinubu is such a genius. He could have given countless responses when the hateful campaign of Peter Obi kept using the drug case to campaign and discredit Tinubu. He literally gave them the silent treatment such as is advised when a court case is going on to avoid self-implicating.
Defense 1. He was not convicted 2. He was not found to deal drugs, he was an accountant that was likely paid with drug money from a client 3. You cannot stand trial for the same offense in two courts in different countries. 4. Out of Jurisdiction - If a crime was committed it was not in Nigeria and no court had prosecuted him for that in Nigeria
Now Tinubu himself said he was a security doorman in Chicago while he was a student at Chicago State University. It is very likely that he had acquaintances that would have used his service. This was Chicago in the 70s and 80s!
Redemption After that, he worked as Accountant at Deloitte the number one accounting firm in the world, He has been a Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, He has been Governor of Lagos state He has been Freedom Fighter who fought the military to bring democracy to Nigeria
Tinubu's house was blown up by the military and that is the reason he does not have old pictures. He was penniless at some point and granted asylum to the UK with a Visa on a piece of paper(Not a Passport)
For Peter Obi to have added the drug case to the presidential petition is just spiteful.
Peter Obi has cases to answer about 1. The people that were killed in his state whose bodies were dumped in Ezu River while he was governor which led to Endsars (Ironically Endsars supporters were brainwashed to become his supporter as obidient movement)
2. The money he took from Anambra and invested in his private business making beer 3. The Pandora paper which shows his tax evasion as a sitting governor hiding money in Panama 😭😭😭😭😂 |

Seun: Dear Igbo People,
I sincerely apologize for allowing a toxic political banner advert which said, "Lagos can never be run from Anambra; go and vote" to run on Nairaland for several hours on Wednesday, March 15, 2023.
The mischievously worded banner advert appears to have been part of an ethnically divisive political campaign aimed at securing Lagos State for the ruling party by instilling fear in Yoruba people, making them believe that Igbo people intended to "take over" Lagos State.
Such ethnically divisive political campaigns have no place in a forward-thinking democracy, and for this reason, the ad should have been taken down instantly. No harm was intended, but my lack of forethought about the ethics of that type of advert led to a disappointing outcome.
We should have had a clear policy against accepting negative and ethnically divisive ads on Nairaland, we should have communicated it to all advertisers, and we should have taken down any advert that violated that policy instantly. This will all be in place before the next election.
We made almost N16,000 from the ad. We will double it and donate it to victims of political violence in Lagos.
Please, do NOT give up on Nigeria. The times are challenging, but TOGETHER, we will overcome.
Sincerely, Seun Osewa. Not enough... This is the problem we are having with the Nigerian government... How did the banner get there and are people going to be punished?.. |
