On the other hand childlessness can be enough reason, if one of the individuals involved was heavily banking on having a child. It may not have shown much during courtship years because he/she assumed naturally that a child must come. once into marriage and no child comes forth, frustration and little fights set in that might lead to divorce.
On the third hand, the couple might be in love but when no fruit of the love is coming forth, their minds begin to wonder. The cause, the remedy, who to blame. A bad combination of these can escalate to lead to a divorce. IMHO
