BusinessRe: Why Can't A Country Just Keep Printing Money And Become Rich by wacoj(m): 3:27pm On Jun 01, 2016
Nusaf:
I have asked similar question in the past but did not get satisfactory response. Even now, all the comments I have read so far are not technically convincing. Pls Economists in the house, I need response from the economic point of view.
The ans is very simple!
Let me explain to you like a Primary 1 pupil.
I believe you must have heard about the word INFLATION.
A country is said to be experiencing INFLATION when the value of its currency is very weak.
Thereby making it so useless that a big amount of money will only get something small.

For instance Imagine you buying a loaf of bread for 20k, enter transport from Obalande to CMS 30K
Now this thing called INFLATION happens when you have too much money in circulation chasing few goods.
In order words, when you prints so much money without external earning through export you are invariably inviting INFLATION.

It is not what any country should pray for. incase you need more explanation do let me know. THANK ME LATER
BusinessRe: Why Can't A Country Just Keep Printing Money And Become Rich by wacoj(m): 3:18pm On Jun 01, 2016
Did this poster do any form of Economics at all?
I know very well that we were taught INFLATION in secondary school and its causes.
We were also taught everything about the law of demand and supply, GDP, ECONOMIC GROWTH, PRODUCTION, bilateral trade etc

Now if anyone who attended a secondary school is asking this question, I think ur school fees was a total waste.
Secondly, since you have access to the internet, why can't you make use of ''google'' to educate yourself more free of charge!

Chaiiii..

I would have continue reply and reply you. but it won't make any changes, just knew you an Igbo Boy.

I'm serving in your land.

I've known about your people.
killing your fellow men for land and cashew nut is what you know how to do best.
bunch of criminals.
I believe by mentioning serving you mean NYSC.
So you really want to tell me that you ended up graduating with B.A Yoruba? what a waste.
You can clearly see the effects of studying yoruba. You can not even make a very good sentence.
Read the nonsense you typed. If it were to be yoruba language, you would've scored A1.

The person you called a boy did his NYSC many years ago and he is advising you on d way forward only for you to be ranting!
I thought you said ''HELP, I DON'T LIKE THE COURSE I AM STUDYING'' and now u said u are serving?
You see yourself? I have been living in Lagos for more than 8 years now and I've come to understand that an average yoruba man
is a coward and noise maker!

After service, take ur certificate to Ife shrine for a job! You antelope..

*gather spits, throws it on wacoj pitiable head*

at first I wanted to overlook your mention, but in a second thought, I discover that you need help.

you have been on nairaland since year 2010, yet you don't have any meaningful contribution all you do is to move from politics section to celebrities and lastly to where your members are hiding, the crime section of nairaland. where you have your annual cocaine and Igbo smoking conference.

for having the courage to mention my generation, you and your generation has been doomed to and confined to everlasting poverty and for ever you and your generation shall suffer from the sins they know nothing about, which you brought upon them.

people like you are the reason why NIGERIA is not moving forward, never see anything in what others are doing, yet you sit your lazy ass down without doing anything. thunder fire that your finger u use typing this early morning. 'ewu'

now let me educate you.
the Yoruba language in case you don't know, is been thought in great schools in America, Brazil, Argentina, Canada, Cuba, Peru, among others.

very soon, in the core Yoruba state, syllabuses shall be treated in pure Yoruba language, this has helped countries like China, Japan, India, to grow strongly against other country because they place great value on their local language.

you, continue serving your slave masters. and you shall forever be a slave.
To start with, I don't throw punches in the air. Yoruba people are well known for their cowardice.
I didn't insult you in the first place. I only said the person that advised you to accept this punishment
called course of study doesn't like you and who ever doesn't like your well-being does not like
your generation simple! But you failed to understand the meaning.

Secondly, let me also remind you that those countries you mentioned where Yoruba is learnt
just do it as a foreign language and to study the culture of the
people purely for research purposes but in Nigeria the case is different.

Now tell me after studying Yoruba, where can you proudly present yourself to be useful in the society?
If you are asked to teach Yoruba in Ijebu Ode secondary sch, u will certainly not be happy! If you are
asked to become a native doctor u will surely be sad so tell me, where else can you be effective?

It is actually people like you that are causing more economic problems in Nigeria for having nothing
to offer the nation throughout ur life time. Just look at our GDP. We the Igbos are tired of people like you in Nigeria.

Finally May all the curses reverse and locate you in double fold for being so useless to Nigeria.
YOU WANT TO SPEND 4 SOLID YEARS TO STUDY INCANTATIONS! You need to be sorry for yourself.

Aare2050:
speaking from experience....

I initially wanted to study law...

but after writing jamb 3 times, I was offered admission in a federal college of education to study YORUBA LANGUAGE.

I felt bad, I wanted to reject, but someone told me to take up the course and write jamb the next year, I oblige and accept the admission.

after one year, I started loving the courses involved, I love it to the extent that I became the president of the department.

mind you, I hated the subject during my secondary days, but I got A1 in WAEC.

so when you plan, allow your destiny to pave way for you.
I'm now a serving B'15 corps member.

I can have my masters in education, literature and grammar.

and to think of it.
in Nigeria there are lawyers that ended up been an actor or actress.

there are doctors making a living through fish farming.

pray and allow things to work itself out.
Bros, whoever advised you to do this in Nigeria of today hates you and your generation.
My candid advice for you is this: After studying Yoruba Language, go for Masters in Agriculture
so that you can learn about herbs also.
This means while you use Yoruba for incantations, you will use Agric to know which herbs cures a particular disease
by so doing, you will make a good NATIVE DOCTOR.
InvestmentRe: How I Was Cheated By Mutual Benefits Life Assurance Ltd by wacoj(m): 8:41am On May 26, 2016
I thought I was the only one that experienced this scam! I did the same ISPP with them with a five year policy.
I contributed 20k monthly and skipped some months though. After two years I made a partial withdrawal of 200k
in accordance with the policy document.

At the end of the 5th year, I still had about 300k with them only for my agent to give me a discharge form containing 265k.
I was very mad, this simply means that apart from not giving me the interest they promised, they also deducted my savings!
No way... As a chartered accountant, i did all possible calculation but could not come to terms with them.

I sidelined my agent, wrote their office copied everyone possible, asking for full details of their calculations, threatened to go to court!
Threatened everything possible..My people a week later, I got a new Discharge letter containing the 300k COMPLETE.

I signed and they paid to my account one time without the knowledge of my so called agent. I WILL NEVER TRANSACT WITH THEM AGAIN.

What you study dosent matter anymore..... you can still get the jamb form but dont leave Fisheries just yet... i made the same mistake just not Fisheries
You are one of the biggest jokers of our time.
Are you really in the labour market?

People used this ur phrased when the banking sector was doing well, employing people without course consideration,
training them on the job BUT the truth is that the story has changed!

You better look before you leap. If you like, go and study Religion, Igbo, Yoruba, Fishery, or all these irrelevant courses. You will know ha far after NYSC!

EmpresFIDEL:
good morning friends.. I need your advice. am a 100lv student studying fisheries after searching for admission for 3yrs... but I still want to write jamb next year to study pharmacy. what do you think? I should continue with the fisheries or I should take another jamb for pharmacy which I love so much. am 21years old.
It is better you sit at home for 5 yrs and get a course that would be meaning to you at d end of d day.
Studying Fishery is just a BIG waste of resources and time.

Instead of studying Fishery, go to a nearby IT center and do some IT courses that will make your life meaningful.
Its just like a guy i know that wasted 4 years to study Yoruba, 10 years after graduation, he can't even find
a native doctor he can do incantations for at least for a little fee.
PoliticsRe: Omojuwa: The Difference Between Lagos And Ekiti In Terms Of Governance by wacoj(m): 3:40pm On May 24, 2016
This Omojuwa or whatever they call him is more clueless than mr bubu.
Ekiti state gets only average of 2.2 billion from the Federal govt monthly with little to nothing IGR.

Lagos state gets one of the highest allocation after Akwaibom state of about 8 billion every month.
Lagos state has the highest IGR in the country.

How then can you compare the two?
These bikes and cars will end up roaming the streets of V.I, Ikoyi, Ajah, Ikeja, surulere, and possibly Ogba never the local areas.

But the hunters will do the real job so shut up!

Infact, Lagos should borrow a leaf from Anambra state that is now doing Aerial surveillance for the herdsmen despite their little allocation

CareerRe: Accounting, Economics, Bus Adm. Which Is More Relevant In Contemporary Nigeria? by wacoj(m): 3:39pm On May 23, 2016
A common mistake most undergraduates do is believing that they will becoming managers
after studying business management. It is a serious fallacy. It doesn't work that way
except your father owns the company.

Ordinarily, an accounting graduates stands the chance of getting a job faster than the other two
except for banking industries that employees any graduate.

Every organization needs an Accountant but NOTE with B.Sc Accounting, you are not yet an Accountant
but stand the chance of being employed as a book keeper or graduate accountant.
but not all the Organizations need an economist or business admin graduate.

I am a chartered Accountant with a professional qualification with The Nigeria Institute of Management so I can manage any business well.
People can easily diversify nowadays... But I still maintain that ECONOMICS is the better option to start with.
CareerRe: Accounting, Economics, Bus Adm. Which Is More Relevant In Contemporary Nigeria? by wacoj(m): 9:55am On May 23, 2016
The truth is that you must step up ur game to be relevant with any of these courses.
I have a B.Sc in Accountancy and also Chartered with years of experience.

But If I am to advise you, It is better you go for Economics and do ICAN or ACCA
which will also make you a chartered accountant. The advantage of doing so is that
it will give you a wider understanding of ECONOMICS and ACCOUNTING.

Just forget Business administration. Even a dropout in Alaba market can manage his business well enough.

We dont need it cos it will do the country NO good.
The govt needs to negotiate with them peacefully!
Sending soldiers to flush them out will not yield the desired results.

How would this salary increment benefit those of us in the private sector?
The best government can do is to provide palliatives before yanking off the subsidy.

I listened to Lair Mohammed yesterday with utmost dismay when he mentioned that one of the palliatives
provided by the govt. is the setting aside of 500 billion naira for special intervention fund through which
school children would be fed.

I really laf at the empty head minister we have.

Govt. should should give us 24 hours light before removing the subsidy thats the only way to caution its effect not salary increment.

My dear since I know I can never hit my wife, I have no other option than to accept her the way she is
and keep praying to God to change her. The woman I see in her now walahi is not the girl I saw in her years back.

But I believe God can and will give her a change of heart. What I will not do is to stop being a good and caring husband to her.
The funny thing is whenever I set my eyes on my son from her, I give God glory for the marriage.
