This kind of statement should be made an offense punishable by life imprisonment or death. When a man stokes religious division and violence, many lives will be lost. We know religious our people are. |
A few days after OBJ visited Aso Rock, bombs and rockets starting raining on Arepo ND militants. Now, another former president from a restive region has been summoned to the vila. Is this a pointer to impending rain fall of bombs on NDAs? Lets wait and see... If my suspicion is correct, I pity NDA and their agents in advance. |
3 days after OBJ visited the president, Arepo military operation started. Jonathan visiting at this time and not in the night (as he used to) is a pointer to an impending surgical military operation in ND. Expect bombing of specific targets anytime from now. NDA in trouble... I pity them in advance |
It will take Buhari years to neutralize the terrible legacies of GEJ/PDP. |

Just few days after Ijaw Youth Council claimed that the guys attacking, looting communities in parts of Lagos and Ogun states were not from Ijaw, some revelations are beginning to play out. Militants and pipeline vandals within Arepo have indicated their commitment to surrender their arms to the Federal Government. Leader of the Ijaw militant group - Forest Soldiers and Adaka Boro Last Born - General Agbala, told The Sun in a private telephone interview that they are agitators and not criminals. The Army, Air Force and the Navy, have been giving them the heat through aerial bombardment to rid the Arepo area of criminal elements. The operation which also involve the Police, the Department of State Services (DSS) and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), has recorded substantial success. The militants leader, Agbala who spoke partly in pidgin English in the wake of the bombardment of the areas, said he has been doing his best to rid the area of criminal elements, saying that kidnapping has never been in his line. He said a visit to Ogun State would reveal that he had in the past handed over a man named Ototo to the police, Bishibishi and other boys. Agbala said, “something like kidnapping, armed robbery, I am not involved. But na some bad people dey spoil my name up and down. Na im make me dey vex.” Speaking on their interaction with the government delegation that visited their camps, Agbala said the visit took place last year and he was the one who received the officials. Agbala said they told the government delegation that they had no problem with anyone, even as he stated that they had since been waiting for the implementation of the negotiation before the ongoing crisis started. On how to end the pipeline vandalism, Agbala said the government delegation requested they stop vandalizing pipelines so that they would be given contract to secure the pipelines, some would be sent to school, while others would engage in vocational training. Asked to distinguish between vandals and militants, particularly where his group belong to, Agbala said even though they are in Ogun and Lagos states, they are of Ijaw origin. Corroborating Agbala’s submission, the General Secretary of Forest Soldiers and Adaka Boro Last Born, Honourable Omomoh, said they have always been assisting government in ridding the areas of criminal elements, saying they made some arrests in the past which the State Anti Robbery Squad (SARS) in Ogun State can testify to. “We are still waiting for them. We are always loyal to the government, but the casualties recorded are too high,” Omomoh declared. Meanwhile, the Joint Force, Operation Delta Safe (ODS), has allayed the fears of people in the Niger Delta region over any possible break of law and order. The Commander of the ODS, Rear Admiral Joseph Okojie who spoke in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State vowed that the military would not abdicate its responsibilities to protect the territorial integrity, lives and property in the region. While dismissing threats by those he stated have no social base, he assured that ODS with its multi agency composition is capable of nipping any security situation in the bud.

Jakumo:How I wish all the ijaw militants (ex and current) can be killed (with missiles from Apache Helicopters) so as to save the billions wasted on amnesty for criminals. |
mrvitalis:Your English sef... na wa ooo, Mr. Engineer. |
For those doubting Thomases, it's now confirmed that the militants terrorizing parts of Lagos state are Ijaw militants. OPC arrested 4 of them yesterday and handed them over to the police who in turn handed them over to the military commander for Ikorodu. They have since joined the list of subdued militants inside the choking cells of the military. They must declare it... If they fail to declare, we will declare it on their behalf. Nigeria armies with heavy weaponry are already in position and we can't deploy all these without any action at the end of the day. So, NDA must go ahead or we do it on their behalf. |
BermudaTriangle:Whoever marries a criminal is a criminal. In Yoruba land, we don't protect criminals - we expose them and we will not sympathize with them when the long arm of law catches up with them. |
Ijaw militants (David Clerk's children) bombardment continued yesterday. http://punchng.com/military-rains-bombs-ijaw-militants-south-west/ |
tonio2wo:Man, I dey Lagos and enjoying the weekend to the fullest. The the lazy kids of ijaws (militants) are the ones learning the hard way in Arepo creek. |

Celebrate with me as I made the front page...

eDDIY:Be specific - don't shout southerners blah blah here. The trouble makers are the lazy off-springs of ijaws and some demented ibos. They will be dealt with and nobody will talk about genocide. |
shamecurls:The ongoing onslaught is tactical and serving two purposes. - test military preparation for creek warfare. We all know the final target - carpet combing loading... - deny those who may want to run away from the real battle in ND safe haven in Arepo can't wait to see the real battle |
greenpasture:To them, it is all about resource control... thieves. They gave them 13% derivative, they can't account for it. NDDC, they can't achieve anything with it. |
Who born them? Rag-tag militants in the face of Nigeria military power. They should go and ask boko |

Lesson to avengers... |
At least 114 militants are feared killed and scores of others injured in attacks on their camps in Ogun and Lagos states.https://www.today.ng/news/national/159697/nigerian-military-kills-114-niger-delta-militants-ogun-lagos-creeks

Even with 13% derivation, NDDC, Niger Delta ministry... Niger Delta leaders are the criminals here - the militants should go after them including their governors if they are serious. By the way, every state has cities and villages. You can use a section of a state (village for example) to represent the entire state - this is wrong and can only work on people driven by crude emotion. |
No problem - military has attacked them and hundreds of the criminals have been killed. Lets wait and see which tribe will shout genocide as the clearing continues. |
Fantastic... How many criminals were killed? |
Good news... |
There was pandemonium on Thursday in the Arepo area of Ogun State and some part of Lagos State after the military bombarded the base of suspected militants in the states. The PUNCH learnt that scores of militants were reportedly killed in the joint military operation which lasted for more than one hour. A source said the military attacked Fatola, the base of the militants, adding that houses around the area were shaken by the impact of bomb explosions on the Ijaw militants. He said, “There has been a lot of commotion. The Nigerian Air Force bombarded Fatola, in Arepo, which is the base of the militants. They are shelling the place with fighter jets. Some soldiers also surrounded the area to make sure that if any of the militants should run out, they would be gunned down.” A resident said people in the area had started fleeing their homes due to the bombardment. Another resident in the Imushin area of Ogun State told our correspondent that two aircrafts were involved in the operation, adding that only one base of the militants was attacked. He said, “An aircraft had actually been surveying the creek for the past three days. But a second one joined this evening around 6pm. All we heard was a sudden bomb blast released from the second aircraft. But it appeared that some of the militants had fled into the bush. There are four major bases of the militants in the creek and they are led by two men- OC and Agbala. If the military can get these two people, then they would have succeeded in clipping the wings of the militants.” A community leader, who claimed to have spoken with one of the officers, said, “The military officer said residents should not panic because it was a military exercise. I also gathered that the casualty figure was high and that a lot of the militants had been killed.” The Director, Defence Information, Brig. Gen. Rabe Abubakar, confirmed the operation, saying it involved the army and the navy. He said, “The military only conducts its routine operation for the purpose of denying the vandals and other criminal elements from causing terror in the area. The operation, codenamed, Operation Awatse, was initiated by the defence headquarters to dominate the area with a view to flushing out all manners of criminals including militants and saboteurs. The operation involved the joint forces of the navy and army and it has been successful.” The Police Public Relations Officer, Lagos State, SP Dolapo Badmos, said the police were part of the operation. She said, “The Nigerian military and policemen from the Lagos and Ogun commands are part of the operation. We are sweeping through the waterways where we share boundaries to end the activities of the militants. It is a continuous exercise and we cannot tell the number of casualties.” The acting Police spokesperson, ASP Abimbola Oyeyemi, promised to call back our correspondent, but he had yet to do so as of press time. |
