This is what some people don't want. Each time a northerner is given an appointment, they scream nepotism. When the "Usophia goes to London" (GEJ) was busy appointing cow-boy hat wearing gangsters and Igbos here and there, it wasn't nepotism. |
Good news... The thieves can now be dragged to court.
|
Stupid man that can't pay back bank debt is advising another person... |
So, when the Mambilla electricity project is completed, IPOB members and their families back in their various villages will not benefit from nation-wide improvement in power supply? Or is social intervention of government limited to North, SW and SS? How do these people think? |
All these people that follow Obas here and there, what is their work and how are they feeding their families? Do they all depend on tax payers money for survival? Collecting money from local, state and federal governments doing nothing other than wearing agbada? No wonder when you travel from Lagos to Abuja by road, you don't see any plantation on the road. Everybody waiting for someone else to the work. |
bulakos25:The issue is, how many people really think properly in Nigeria again? Especially among the so called educated and the elites. Our sense and understanding of leadership is so warped that they can't comprehend why someone will turn down an appointment. To many of them, a political appointment is a short-cut to money and the reason our corrupt journalists would call some positions "juicy". You will not see them talk about the enormity of the work involved in the role - all focus is on the money the appointee can steal/loot from the position. Our people have been so misruled that they don't believe people can be appointed based on their credentials without any prior notification or lobby or whatever. It looks so strange that they begin to read different negative meanings to this instead of thanking God that all a person needs to do to get anything is hard-work and integrity. |
The 28% you see are the miscreants from those minority groups - IPOB, Tripod, IYC, etc. They are the same wailers that make noise on every social media platform. From this poll, if the mumu GEJ and his wife are arrested and locked up even without trail, nothing will happen. And if anybody tries to cause chaos in ND or SE, soldiers are there already to teach them a lesson they will never forget. For us, business continues and every joint glows in the evening as light shines on beer bottles ![]() |
He wont die until he pays back all the money he looted... After refunding the money, he can commit suicide if he likes or slump in his cell. |
saintmark88:Let those miscreants continue to rant in Anambra. His state government is investing in locally grown rice and will soon begin massive production. Instead of the lazy mumu to join and work hard to earn a living, he prefers to just sit down lazily for other countries to do the work for him while he looks for ways to loot or collect bribe. |
TheFreeOne:Peaceful protest and chaos are not the same. This is one of the benefits of democracy. When BBOG crusaders were protesting, did anybody complain? Shut up if you don't have anything sensible to say |
When will DSS break into this guy's house and pick him up like those corrupt judges? A matter that is in court, this ignorant man is saying publicly that the accused is not guilty. For this alone, the mumu can be arrested and locked up for as long as its required, This man doesn't need freedom - he should be kept somewhere and fed one meal a day. |
Government is not lucrative again... |
All the hoodlums (cum thieves) arrested should be locked up somewhere in kuje till 2023 when trial will begin |
richidinho:You must be drunk... You think SW is Igbo-land or Biafra? We don't celebrate thugs/criminals here and therefore, he can only lead Ekiti. |
Obanikoro defected... His sentence will be light for doing that but you... I really pity you (Fayose) |
Why will any sane human being believe FKK and his wife? These are people whose job that we know has been looting and looting. Yorubas will say "a thief will definitely lie". |
Yeye... Saraki and anti-corruption in the same sentence? |
Do you expect a thief to confess without torture? Even in the face of damning evidence, criminals will still plead not guilty to an offense. |
Any militant arrested should be shot in situ... No need to arraign them and waste our precious time and resources again on criminals. |

Shameless people... Where is the rice plantation? Or is he into rice importation business? If yes, them it is even a crime for a civil servant to engage in any thing other than farming. Anyway, it is a proceed of crime and he will go in for it. |
MadamExcellency:Is any law broken if a suspected criminal (be it a Judge or lawmaker) is arrested midnight? Ignorant. |
The good news here is, the account has been frozen... Wailers can continue to wail. All stolen money must be forfeited to FG. What work did she do to own an account that her husband didn't even know it existed? They have accounts in all banks and in different names - stashing our money there.
|
engineerboat:So you prefer a president that is controlled by his wife like the mumu we used to have as president? And what's wrong in DSS raiding the houses of corrupt judges/crime suspects? More have been arrested (at least 2) and lot more will be picked up by the time EFCC comes in |
OXYZ:Me, I will advise that you learn to say the truth. Even if you lie (what you call diplomacy), it doesn't change the truth. No religious book talks against speaking the truth even if it hurts. We are where we are today because all values have been lost. We are now in a world where lying is seeing as being wise. Where criminals are worshiped so long they can talk their way out. |
OXYZ:Say it straight - he should be schooled in the art of lying - period. This is what you want. |
Redoil:Now, CBN is giving the money to Travelex to sell to Nigerians who are traveling. BCD can also buy from Travelex. Go to MM1 today, you will see travelers queuing to buy from Travelex at 370/$. This is why the abo.ki market has been stagnant for a while. Travelex, a foreign company is selling at the rate agreed with the CBN without shortchanging the system. If CBN gives the money to BDC as they have done in the past, our BDC (being Nigerians) will take the money to abo.ki to sell at 500/$ and make huge margin at the expense of the masses. The same thing banks (also being Nigerians) are doing. We are our own problem. DSS needs to wage in and where necessary use gun-butt on erring bank MDs and BDC owners. |
A lot of Nigerians like deceit. They just want someone who will deceive them and go behind them to do something else. The man is telling you his wife have no business in politics. She has never been a politician and she can't become one just because the husband is the president. She should focus on her role as wife of president. What concerns her about political appointments - who is appointed who is not. She can only advise and if the president says NO, it is NO. |
This is the kind of news Nigerians should be debating - this is what affects all of us, not the fight over appointments by APC members. How do we hold our banks accountable? How can FG bring sanity into this key sector of the economy? Do we need to give these people the kind of treatment given to judges by DSS? This is something that affects all of us. Bank officers are making money at the expense of ordinary Nigerians who need forex for their business, education, health, etc. Instead of the banks selling forex to BDC as instructed by CBN, they were selling to abo.ki on the streets and making a fast one. In the end, we all (including the fraudulent bankers) wail that economy is in comatose, naira is depreciating and that FG is not doing enough. This is just one of the many corruption cases involving bankers. What can we do about these people? CBN suspends 19 banks from forex sale to BDCs By Babajide Komolafe LAGOS—The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has suspended all the banks, with the exception of First Bank, from selling dollar proceeds of International Money Transfer Services, IMTS, to Bureaux De Change, BDCs. Two months ago, the CBN had directed banks to sell proceeds of their international money transfer services to BDCs. This was in a bid to address the steady and sharp depreciation of the naira in the parallel market. Vanguard investigation, however, revealed that most of the banks were not complying with this directive, preferring to do brisk business with the proceeds. This generated several complaints from the BDCs, with the Association of Bureaux De change Operators of Nigeria, ABCON, calling for a review of the policy measure. Vanguard reliably gathered that the CBN decided to sanction the banks, following investigation, which revealed that most of them were either not complying or circumventing the directive. A top CBN official confirmed this development to Vanguard yesterday. Speaking on condition of anonymity, the source said: “We discovered that all the banks were not selling to the BDCs, while a few that did so occasionally short-changed them by selling at higher margin. “The only exception was First Bank, which had 500 BDCs and sold to them on regular basis. So we decided that since the bank was selling the dollars as directed, we would allow it to continue to do so. It looks like the next stop for DSS is oil marketers and bankers. This is becoming interesting... I really want FG to deal with rogue bankers once and for all. Bankers are contributing to the forex problems we have today - another corruption by the banks. Those guys (bankers) are killing the economy. Banks need to be sanitized urgently. |
Bsideboi:Why? |
cyberdurable:Things were not better. You were only busy destroying the future of the country through unbridled corruption while deceiving yourself that everything was ok. Everything was ok but Nigeria became 100% import dependent nation. Everything was ok but people were killed like "Shalla ram" in north east by boko haram and boko boys almost took over Abuja Everything was ok but kidnapping became a profession and rampant in the country Everything was ok but Nigeria roads were all death traps killing people everyday. We know the number of people that died on Lagos-ibadan road |
