bastien:
you don't need signing to progress, last summer Arsenal didn't sign anybody and Manchester United did, but what happened at the end? Arsenal 2nd,Manchester United 5th.

Manchester United might have sign Zlatan, but what if he plays like Sanogo next season?

Flop is allowed!
Understood, but doesnt it just hurt when other clubs are busy in the transfer window and yours is not? Flop or not, new signings motivate the team, the fans etc.

if lil kesh decided to listen to all of you peoples' advices, maybe the guy sef for no blow. everybody just dey drop their opinion like say na their formula be the icing on the cake...SMH!!!
Oh really? So you are saying an Artist should not understand what the fans want? Ok na, you think say if to say Mode9 listen to advice he for dey where he dey?

Truth is the fans make the artist. A stubborn non flexible artist that can't adjust to what the industry demands will never get anywhere. You no see say Phyno (best Igbo rapper ever) don dey sing song?
CelebritiesRe: Lil Kesh, This Is Why You Don’t Have An Endorsement Deal - Opinion by wagazala: 7:56am On May 15, 2016
Lil Kesh is talented no doubt but not well packaged. He also needs to increase his English content. Before Olamide became a Mega Superstar he had reasonable English content. Now he even sings cos he understands what the industry demands.
Lil Kesh should also drop the skiboroboskibo slogan....e too razz grin
BusinessRe: Banning Forex Trading And Sports Betting Promotion by wagazala: 4:36pm On May 03, 2016
Seun:
Dear Nairalanders,

We are thinking of completely banning the promotion of forex trading and sports betting on Nairaland.

Forex day-trading and sports betting are fundamentally fraudulent because they're promoted as a quick way of making money whereas due to mathematical facts, the only people who make money are the middlemen and marketers. The "investors" almost always lose their money.

In our experience, it's not enough to warn Nairaland members about the dangers of forex day-trading and sports betting. The promise of quick profit is just too much for thousands of vulnerable Nairaland members to resist. The only way to protect them is complete censorship.

We believe that the complete ban of such content will make Nairaland a better platform for discussing legitimate entrepreneurship and finance.

What do you think? Please click 'like' if you like the idea; thanks.
These are your views entirely which musnt be forced down on Nairalanders. I cannot speak on Forex but i can on Sports Betting.

Adverts on Sports Betting were initially refused by Google and Facebook (to mention a few). With time, only Operators who were confirmed Licensed were allowed to advertise on these platforms. You see, the business is entirely Legal and have not been frowned upon by the Laws of Nigeria. The betting business is also one of the highly regulated in Nigeria which generates a good IGR for Government .
About the punters, yes some loose money and some win money but I believe the targeted market are above 18 and can make decisions for themselves. Do we Ban MTN, FCMB, Guiness promotions because people dont win? Do we tag them as Fraudulent?
Nairaland should insist on accepting publicity for only Licensed operators and not ban sports betting outrightly.

This is the problem am facing now. My gear oil went low and I didn't notice that. Last night the gear stick went soft and free, no friction. Worse still, the gears were not selecting.

Moreover when it happened last night my neighbour helped me with brake transmission fluid into the gear oil tank. He said it does the same function. Unfortunately, it didn't save the situation. Please how true is this?

I have asked my mechanic to come with gear oil to service it. I pray nothing else would be affected.
Brake oil into gear?? shocked That your neighbor sef.. lipsrsealed

You can attempt to flush the gear and hope it works. Do not attempt to repair it if flushing fails, just change the gear box.

Who asked you where you come from? You are not Yoruba for sure.
Fulani herdsmen kill your brothers and your first reaction is run to the Governor and shout ''warn them o'', when two or three herdsmen should have fallen. Isn't that action typical of the Yoruba people? Too much bark no bite.
As regarding if I am truly yoruba, doest it really matter? MO ko n so ooto oro ni.

If it was another man that impregnated Toke while married to Maje, would you advice the husband to also get over it and keep his lady. undecided

The way we apply double standards to ladies is appalling.
Not double standards, but she's going to eventually settle down with a man right? What's the guarantee that he won't also cheat on her? None. These things happen is what I am saying, learn to forgive. If it were the other way round too, why not, if they can forgive each other, let them stay together. The grass isn't always greener on the other side.

I just wonder if one rich arab prince offer Toke $500k for one night while married, I'm %100 sure she won't think twice before grabbing the offer, so I'm still of the opinion that she did not manage the situation well cos she's just as desperate as her husband.
$500k for one night? shocked. I'd do it for half.

Seriously though, Toke and her hubby have come a long way. Since the days of few dough, plenty swag. Now they got caught up in the whole celebrity mess thing and they are letting it get to them. Regular people also have flings and children 'outside'. Get over it Toke and keep your man.

most lagosians dont know how to drive.. Afterall na autogear most learn with so the basic principles of drivn dynamics, they have no idea. Plus ive always wondered y ppl drive so close even on speed. Imagyn my colleagues yapping me one day, tht i was too far from the car infront. I was dumbfounded. These guys plan to drive to the east on easter.
I sometimes wonder why people move closely especially on top speed. A lot of people learned to drive without really understanding traffic laws and maneuvering techniques. I remember a good friend of mine bought a car without knowing how to drive. A week later he was doing 120km/h on the dash, I queried him that what would he do if something suddenly appeared in front of him, he shrugged me off. About a month afterwards, his car was totaled. Dude was speeding at night and lost control when the oncoming car beamed it's full lights at him.
