Even though BlackBerry the company messed up by giving up on the OS, we know the BlackBerry 10 OS is awesome and will alwyas be awesome

I just wish BlackBerry the company will give the OS one more push to get more apps on the platform now that apple has put the seal of approval on the OS

The Skype app on BlackBerry world is android version primed for BlackBerry 10 devices...you don't need to manually install android apk...just look for it under your uninstalled apps list

Any network is better than Ntel...don't waste your time with Ntel

The screen doesn't have to be fixed really because it has not lost its functionality. Just put a case and a screen protector and anyone who buys it can use it for the next 3-4yrs if they want

Totally no..even if the swiftng box is unlocked the device might not support the LTE band of Ntel

An update has been released on BlackBerry world since June. Install the update and you should be fine till December

Also there's a guy floating a petition on change.org to ask facebook/whatsapp developers to not drop support for BlackBerry 10 users...the more people who click to sign the better.

The only con I can think of is that Google doesn't allow their latest OS on older hardware so you might end up on android version 6 at best

Other than that you should be fine. You'll stop being a BlackBerry user though

Eventually, I was able to download that apk version. I really didn't like it jare. And it was so slow to load kai.
As soon as I heard the blackberry news, I deleted it and I'm now back on my regular whatsapp.

I did one month with them on unlimited and ported back to Ntel at the end (my 100gb went in one week)

Fair usage limit is 100gb..after that your data speed gets throttled....aka your data speed slows to a crawl but you're still able to do stuff until you renew or wait out your expiry period

Glo 4G doesn't work on the B310-927, only the 3G frequency works on it. Only the huawei E5573s-606 works with Glo 4G.

I have tested a 4G glo sim in this model and it worked. I didnt even have to set anything on the modem. Just a simple plug and play

I have an unlocked unit like the one in your pictures but it keeps asking me to update to the firmware pushed by spectranet to lock down their units that were being jailbroken

As it is now, or as at the last time I checked, Android WhatsApp doesn't support that feature on bb10 anymore.

By June, the native whatsapp on BlackBerry 10 will be replaced with the android version and that means basic functionalities will be up and running. Skype on BlackBerry 10 is a prime example of that type of transition.

The native whatsapp on BlackBerry 10 will stop working and everybody knows BlackBerry 10 runs android version of most apps with no problem

Anyone using whatsapp will just need to switch to the android version which will be available on BlackBerry world anyways

Ntel have start their fair usage policy it really bad, now after 3gb speed will reduse to 50 to 70 kbps on till the next day, it really suck to open a page it a problem

They have a lame network coverage and probably less than a million users all over Nigeria. If they loose more people they will get the message that if they don't have anything better to offer over and above what already obtains in the market, they don't deserve to be in business

Anyone still paying for Ntel's crappy speed is the one fooling themself

BlackBerry did it for Skype when microsoft dropped support for the native app there's no reason for them not to do the same thing in the case of whatsapp

After June, whatsapp app made specifically for BlackBerry 10 will be disabled by whatsapp BUT just like BlackBerry did with Skype, I expect they will enable the android version to work fully with BlackBerry 10 devices by uploading it to the BlackBerry world.

All you have to do is download it from BlackBerry world and it should uninstall the disabled one and you're back in business
