sashacoleman: This msg is for JustWise,

I work in a good company and earn a reasonable salary. I have travelled to the UAE a couple of times and to the Uk as well (i have 2 years uk visa). I applied for Schengen visa thru the French Embassy late last year and got denied, for not having enuf ties to my country (why i would want to settle in their yeye country i dont know). I want to reapply for schengen visa now, but i dnt want to go through the stress i went through the last time and then get denied again.

Please i need your advice on the best embassy to apply from and what you think my chances are. Thanks alot. i heard Switzerland is ok and spain, not sure, please i need advice from anyone that have had this experience as well.

Thanks guys.
But you have said it earlier that this message is for justwise, then why are you asking for anyone again for advice?justwise will answer you bro...no hard feelings

So book ur direct flight to Germany now.

NOTE: regardless of the schengen embassy dat issued ur visa,
You can fly directly to any schengen state now except Switzerland.

tee2faith: Hi all,
Please i have a US Visa appointment scheduled for next week and i logged on to print my confirmation page this afternoon only to see this information on my page "PLEASE NOTE THAT ONE OR MORE OF THE DS-160 NUMBERS USED TO SCHEDULE THIS APPOINTMENT CAN NOT BE VALIDATED.
INCORRECT DS-160 NUMBERS MAY LEAD TO A DELAY IN BEING PROCESSED"
Please does anyone know the meaning or what might have caused it. its really strange and this is the first time and seeing it.
Please help.

It doesnt have any negative implication on your application..I have had that experience before and I printed it that way bro..not to worry

Does a multiple-entry Schengen visa allow visiting other Schengen countries later, without going via the issuing country?
I was given a multiple entry visa in January by France embassy, I went there and came back after 5 days but I want to go to germany now in march, do I have to go through France again or should I just fly to Germany straight without getting to france?

Visit the UK-Vac website and track it with your Ref number and date of birth. Where did u submit?
It doesn't take that long for them to process tourist visa application, kindly track it on vfs website and if its not yet available, then you can contact uk embassy and state your passport and reference number

@ JT2010...Thanks for the suggestion, however, when hotel reservation is booked I understand you have 24 hrs to the proposed date to cancel,or else you may not be able to cancel any more, also if we extend my wife's n baby's return ticket by 2 weeks will it not come with additional cost.

Thank you.
Make sure you book a new hotel reservation for a week.tell the POE that you are on vacation and you will stay in that hotel for a week.. DON'T tell the POE that you hav anyone in UK Abeg..
As for your wife and child return date.make sure you present a flight itinerary that states that you guys are coming back together after a week together

Surestboyxxx: hi, can someone Advice me on this..I am planning to visit UK during Easter period.

Here is my case:

1-I am presently studying in USA, means i have my F1.
2-I have visited UK last year May.
3-My aunt that invited me as visiting to UK last year ,she has relocated to USA now.

I am thinking of applying for Tourism VISA and i will be the one sponsoring myself using my USA bank statement , is that a good idea? and also is it the 6 month or 2 years renewer am i going to apply for?

Yes you have to apply for tourism visa and don't forget to let them know that your aunt has relocated to usa, therefore you don't have any family in uk anymore..make you write that in the empty page they will give you.its really important oo my brother cos they will refer to your last visa and they might start telling you about your family you claimed then.
Since you have been to uk once then you are qualify to apply for 2 years visa as long as you can pay the visa fees...you are good to go.. Wishing you best of luck in your application

tox2k: Thanks. I still have my birth certificate. Also they still have my mother's name and mine on record in the hospital. As for fingerpints, I really hope so.
You case is solved then, since you still have your birth certificate, just go with your birth certificate and the new affidavit..the embassy knows how to trace the rest and forget to name the hospital and possibly their contact number and email so as for the embassy to contact them.wishing you all the best

tox2k: Hi Justwise! Need ur nuggets here! I was born in the UK when Citizenship by birth was automatic. Though, I'm just processing my passport now. One major challenge is that my hospital records (supporting docs) were destroyed in a fire in 2004.An affidavit was made to cover that, but the affidavit is also missing now. I got in touch with the hospital where I was born, but they told me that my documents had been destroyed in accordance with the Data Protection Law 25yrs limit. I intend to apply for Masters as a citizen next year. What line of action can I take now?
Do you have your birth certificate?if you don't have your birth certificate, then I wii,l advice you to go get another affidavit and maybe you can plead with them to backdate it, that is if it's issued in Nigeria.another thing you can use is the pictures your parents took during or after your birth in uk.. But as it stand now, you don't have any evidence to show that you were actually born in uk cos the hospital don't have your record also.ask your parents if the hospital collected your finger print after your birth then..that might help you

That, i have no idea...They might want to go deep in verifying your doc. i submitted my Passport last month and i got my tourist visa 2weeks after. i was given a collection date.. and i got my visa. i traveled couple of weeks ago and am back.

I really appreciate you bro, well I want to ask you few question and I will really appreciate if you can take your time to answer the questions.
1.. I still have a valid France visa which will expire on the 3rd of April 2013 but I want to trave to Germany on the 2nd of April and return 9th of April 2013.. I have an appointment for interview next week. I hope they wouldn't ask me to wait till my France visa expires in April before I can apply for Germany visa or you think it doesnt really matter that I still have a valid visa of another schenge state.
2.what are the likely tourist visa questions they will ask please?
3..will I know after my interview if my visa is granted or I have to wait for 2weeks before I can know the outcome of my interview?

I will really appreciate it if my questions can be answered. Sorry for taking your time once again

letsgohome: Hi Guys. I have a question.
I left the Uk in November, after finishing my master's there, in July. I didn't return to Nigeria, instead i came straight to the US on a tourist visa. i'm planning to visit the UK for a short while. what are my chances of gettin a visiting visa from here? Also, is there a specific period of time that a specific amount of money (large sum or not) should be in my account, before i print out a statement and apply?
I appreciate your responses.

Thank you

Well because you are on a tourist visa, you are not qualify to apply for any visa from usa..you need to have a residence of a country before you can apply for any visa from that country.
It's written boldly on internet bro
Travel / Re: Give Birth In Uk For Visitors, cost And Procedure by Waleabimbola(m): 7:34pm On Jan 29, 2013
richjah: My wife gave birth as a visitor in Uk at the NHS Queens Hospital in Romford/dagenham area...I will advise that if your not financially stable DONT venture into it. Because I paid a whooping amount of 3,650 pounds for normal delivery and then when my baby came out, they said she had some poop stain on her which they called Mycoten or something....then my baby was taken to the NICU where we were told to pay 500 pounds for each night she spent there, she spent 3 days and thats after which i had to complain to the doctor that I am a visitor and paying heavily for the service, so my baby was discharged and the total amount spent was 4,150 pounds. The good news is that If you pay the money, then your future application will be granted once the receipts are tendered with your application. BUT if you dont pay!...Forget ever going to the UK......I re-applied with my wife and daughter and was given 2yrs....So be hopeful!....and also I only got the Long and short Birth certificates too!.

Your answers have really helped me sir, we have been to uk 3 times already and we are both using 2 years visitor visa but my friend always tell me that if you deliver in uk they wouldn't renew for us, that was why I brought the questions to naijaland.but your response has been of great help knowing that you have passed through same process before.
Please what do you mean by long and short birth certificate?
When next we wanna reapply, we are planning to apply for 5 years visa, will they give the new baby 5 years visa too or they start with 6 months visa for him/ her?
Travel / Re: Give Birth In Uk For Visitors, cost And Procedure by Waleabimbola(m): 7:20pm On Jan 29, 2013
snowdrops: You can walk into any NHS hospital if your wife is due for delivery. Explain you are not entitled to free public health care, they should let you know the average bill upfront. If your wife is not at term, then she can register with any local GP whilst paying for ante natal care till delivery.

Really appreciate your response, it has really helped..do u know the cost of delivery alone?i mean normal delivery

Its a registered business name and she and i are the principal owners. I hope this was what u meant?

Good to know you have registered company, make sure you put the company certificate in your application and most importantly article of memorandum of the company, that where your name is written as a director.certificate alone wouldn't let them know you are a director unless you include the article of emorandum
Travel / Re: Give Birth In Uk For Visitors, cost And Procedure by Waleabimbola(m): 7:27am On Jan 28, 2013
snowdrops: In the UK, Caesarean sections have been found to cost an average of £1,701 while a va.ginal delivery costs an average £749
Women with spontaneous va.ginal deliveries spend on average 1 day in hospital after delivery, women with instrumental deliveries 1 or 2 days and CS deliveries is 3 or 4 days (Hospital Episodes Statistics; 2004)

I am unsure how this would impact on your future visa application.

Do you know Any hospital where we can use and is that information above based on your past experience or online info?hope to read from you soon bro

Travel / Re: Citizenship by Birth In Turkey? by Waleabimbola(m): 12:09am On Jan 28, 2013
dahonestboss: Turkish nationality law is based primarily on the principle of jus sanguinis. Children who are born to a Turkish mother and a Turkish father in (or outside of) Turkey are Turkish citizens from birth

If any of the parents of the child are not Turkish, then then child is not Turkish regardless of place of birth

@wip7...Thanks for your response and questions.. Well the parents wanna buy property. Immediately they get there and that ll be in February and they will deliver th baby by April.. Can that really work out for them?

thegame: This is going to be tedious but I'm going to try my best to spill it out anyway.
I already mentioned this earlier about trying to travel to uk just to visit my mom's uncle. I'm not desperate but I want to see the outside world. I don't have a daytime job as I'm currently serving and I will be done in 3weeks(pointing to someone that referred me to the "main reasons visas r denied" page) but I have a successful partnership business with my mom. Money comes in when jobs are done and I believe everyone with the knowledge of how contracts work would understand.
Now please people, what documents should I make sure my uncle send in order to secure a visa and how do I convince the visa officer that I'm not a threat whatsoever and I'm going to return. This is my first time applying for a visit visa and I need experienced nairalanders, I'm 24 years old. Thanks very much.

Do you have a registered company ?if you do, then it will really help your application
