BaEnki: I humbly disagree with you on the bolded part sir, our youthfulness shouldn't erode our morality. Well, with the world becoming a global village and the influence of the western world on our culture and tradition,we shouldn't be oblivious of the fact that we would be seeing more of this. However,it still boils down to what our traditional/religious institutions are doing about instilling right morals/virtues in the young ones. The peer pressure is for real. But funny enough you would not see a Fellowship sister or a sister wearing Hijab in this stunt. Won't condemn these lads, they have the capacity to change. |

Congrats Ladokites. May the jinx be broken absolutely. What you are seeing is just youthful exuberance.Nothing more.
The inability of the Visitors to make reasonable inputs to solving the imbroglio has given the institution a bad name in a very short period of time. This is one of the effects of lacklustre leadership.
LAUTECH still remains one of the best University of Technology in the country with qualified and serious minded lecturers churning out capable products. I don't get bewildered whenever University rankings are released. Even with all the challenges, they have refused to go down. A thread recently speaks volume.

Can't figure out if it is Catholic Ch vs RCCG? Blood just dey hot There is an important point to note about the Church today. You will never find a perfect Church, until Jesus returns(2Cor3:18)-Why? Men in charge are mere mortals and not infallible. Yeah. Even in the times of Apostle Paul and Apollos-there was division(1Cor1:11-13), as many followers had their preference-Paul tried correcting that though. If we are to start exploring and appraising the doctrines/teachings/leadership obtainable in all Churches/denominations, we will be doing ourselves a disfavour as many flaws are not unexpected to be obvious. As a Christian, whichever (denomination) you fall into, let the HolySpirit lead you(Rom 8:14) to taking instructions. The crisis in Christianity today, is our inability to cling to the word of Jesus when he was about to leave this world- John 14:26 ; talks about the Comforter(HolySpirit), teaching you ALL THINGS! The influence of the HolySpirit in the life of a believer can't be overemphasized. Finally, there are foolish things that God allows to happen, just to confound the wise(1Cor1 :27). It seldom happens, but if it does,His name is to be glorified. Praise God! |

PaChukwudi44: it doesn't matter what anyone thinksThe truth will always remain the truth. The koko remains are Christians under the new covenant still required to pay tithes? According to Mat 5:17;Christ talked about not coming to abolish the law (Old Covenant) but to fulfil it-which he did on the Cross, at Calvary (New Covenant). |
Christianity Etc › Re: Daddy Freeze Replies Pastor Adeboye’s Response To His Teachings On Tithing by Walelavender(m): 11:46am On Nov 07, 2017 |
And it goes on and on.... If a teaching/doctrine (like tithe paying) works for you, why listen to the submission of the person who hasn't tried it. Now if it doesn't work for you, then, it makes no sense dwelling on such teaching/doctrine.
This wasn't the case 2-3 decades ago when Churches are Churches in real sense.Today, many self-acclaimed 'men of God' have adulterated the system so much that their personal gains are preeminent in the scheme of things in the ministry. Now, this is not to say, there are no longer Bible believing/teaching churches around.
Let me conclude with Romans 8:14 "For as many as are led by the Spirit of God are the sons of God". If as a Christian you still struggle to understand why you carry out some doctrines (with biblical proofs),then your sonship needs to be defined.
I pay my tithe to a Bible believing Church. Not even Freeze with his 'wind of doctrine' or anyone could change my mind. The prerogative remains mine! |

It is not unexpected for the bitter souls to hit back at the declaration/prayers of this revered man of God. It's either you believe it or not! But attacking the personality of this man does not make sense and will never add value to your life. How would people not channel their energy to positivity?
The greatest gift the Creator gave to man couldn't have been better than CHOICE. The fact that you don't believe in the teachings of this man does not make you better or smarter. It's a belief system. Whilst it works for others it may not be the same for you. Call them mumu or whatever name, the truth remains the truth. |
