When we stepped into this project few months ago, we were engaged to fabricate a modern gate and nothing more.

I decided to visit the project because the client has always engaged me right from the beginning of the project but we never had the opportunity to meet.

On getting to the site, I felt very bad seeing the quality of work done by different tradespeople (nairaland artisans and others from outside) engaged on the project and I told the client “We need to do something urgently to put things back on track.”

A lot of times projects hit the brick due to bad advices clients get from the professionals we engage as consultants on our projects.

I told the client “We are not firing any of the guys but I’d work with them to help them tidy up lose ends on the project.”
Though fraught with lots of issues, disappointments and avoidable errors, this single project has won me Ilé Ode 2, Oshodi Church Makeover project, upcoming 30 rooms hotel, and lots of other projects within the estate.

Special thanks once again to our esteemed client for the opportunity to be of service to you and for entrusting us with your project completely despite the dramas that go on here.

It's still the same thing.Under Building services we have Mechanical and Electrical Engineering.popularly called M&E.
For the Mechanical we have two major category which is the Air conditioning and Plumbing system (Water supply).
I just like to separate it into sub categories.

I don't understand what you mean by structural Building.
Is it that you have a structural Drawing already and you want to submit it for approval?
Meanwhile you will need more than that before building permit can be given.
You will need your
1.Architectural Plan.
2.Structural drawings
3.Mechanical drawing
4.Electrical drawing
5.Plumbing drawing.
Pls clarify.

There's a report now on the front page that the lifeless body of the owner of the collapsed Ikoyi building has been recovered.

Buildings don't just collapse it's impossible except it's a supernatural occurrence such as earthquake.This building would have been showing signs,the Engineers,masons and others on site would have noticed it.but what did they do.They ignored the red flags.
My condolences goes to those that might have lost their lives.
Pls let's do things right in this country.

It's not an Earthquake ooooh.i work close to that area and if it's an earthquake,Everyone in the office will feel the impact.
The structural engineer is in big Trouble.....
For a multi storey building like this,you don't cut corner and always build to standard.

Please help review this house plan and land size, your input will be appreciated.

The toilets are way too small. The average toilet should be around 2.4m x 1.5m.
Also the Visitor's toilet is too close to the master bedroom.You will need to move the master's bedroom away from where it is. (It's just at the Entrance).
Generally, you will need to rearrange The General lounge, Visitor's toilet and master's bedroom
