Dontblink: A Landlord in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State threw out his tenant and her belongings under a heavy downpour.
The lady in the picture was thrown out on Monday by her landlord for her inability to pay her rent of 3,5OO per month. So for 5 days since she was thrown out, she has nowhere else to move her things to.
Interestingly, this lady is a graduate from Ikot Abasi LGA of the state. According to her, she graduated from the University of Uyo in 2005, served, and returned home, and hadn't been able to secure a job since then to date. This was the saddest part of her story as she only sells groundnuts to make ends meet.
May God help each and every one of us after school.🙏 @OP Please how can we reach her. |

n3xt: I think this is something a high pressure dc pump can fix and interestingly they’re more efficient than the energy guzzling AC pumps.
I have DC pump and I’ve never had to worry about energy consumption. You're not getting it. Why do I need to have a put on my pump when my tanks are already at an elevated level? Even with a DC pump, you will still need starting current to start your pump. Which is very high in DC motors. But the solution been proposed has remove the need to constantly put on your pumps when water is needed. |

[quote author=luvablesam post=126857709]Sense or nonsense?
Can professionals please trash this? The reason for this arrangement is simply because of pressure. Installing your tanks at an elevated level makes it possible for gravitational force to act on the flow of water moving down. If it's the other way i.e down feed to up - feed ,that means you need to constantly put on your pumps using electricity which increases the cost of your household electricity.
In order countries where you have constant electricty, you don't have this arrangement. |

rotecch77: Bro Dey play. No be hell fire I Dey to need Ac like mad All Acs in my 6 bedrooms duplex is not up to 3m The cost of your units is dependent to 1.The time of purchase 2.The brand(Daikin is still the most expensive I know of in the market). The cost of all this things now is crazy because of the exchange rate, even some big importers like Emc and panaserv don't have some units right now in Nigeria. Sent a quotation to panaserv, got a reply that some capacities are not available for now. |

topsy23: VRF is what that is reigning now.. VRF is the best right now when you have client with deep pocket, the cost of vrf system is like x3 of the split systems. People needs to know that the initial cost of vrf is high but it's an investment that on the long run will yield high return i.e performance, space utilization and aesthetics. |

n3xt: For the size of the project involved (2 bedroom flat), does it really worth it? Looking at the price tag. To be candid,No it isn't. I will advise the client to go for split units where you have one indoor to one outdoor which reduces the total cost of the system. But the final decision still resides with the client. |

[quote author=Knowthis post=126580639]Hello everyone. I was wondering if anyone here is familiar with Multi-unit split system air conditioners.
I have a 2 bedroom flat that I want to install AC into, but I want a setup where there's just one outdoor unit, and three indoor units: one for parlour, and one each for the other rooms.
Is anyone here familiar with this stuff? Which AC brand sells this in Nigeria and how much is the price range??
Good morning York and Daikin are very good.
For your configuration 3 - indoors to one outdoor 1 depending on the sizes of your room will determine the capacity of the units.
A similar quote from York of 1- no 42,000btu/h(outdoor )and 2- no 12,000btu/hr(indoor unit) and 1- no 18,000btu/hr(indoor unit) is around 3m.
Just budget 3m |

Reeefe: But I have heard alot of plumbers complaining about the maintenance of this bio digester system. And I have also seen many landlords who did it scrapping it n doing the regular soakaway system . What could be the down side of this bio digester system? Maintenance: Biogas digesters require regular maintenance and monitoring to ensure they operate efficiently. If not properly maintained, they can become a source of odors and other nuisances. This maintenance can be time-consuming and may require specialized knowledge. When the required expertise is not involved,it becomes a menace. But if it's properly maintained then no issues at all. |

Born2conquer: For a 20plots? The layout, drainage system and co? 20 plots means the designs would contain how 20 people would comfortably behind their homes in a well designed estate. Let's have a discussion on those plans when you are ready. |

Born2conquer: Hello Family. I have 30 plots of land I would like to convert into an estate with proper designs like drainage systems, layout, fencing that would shield it out from the other area. Most importantly, the layouts, I want it to be way different from every other communities in the whole area.
Who do I reach out for the professional design? An architect or an estate surveyor? And how much would that cost.
NB: This is a long term goal Good afternoon sir, I'm down for the M&E consulting services I have done something like this which was even shared on this platform. The cold, waste and drainage piping will be properly taken care of. What do you think about bio- digester system for the sewage?

toluxa1: So i just installed a surface pressure pump in my house and suddenly the toilet bidets all became stiff and usable because you can't even press it. It's clearly the newly introduced pressure. What can one do? Do I have to change it to another type? Are there quality ones made to work with high pressure? Any recommended product? Some trigger spray has a certain range of pressure they work with, If they become stiff with increase in pressure, that means they have reached the peak pressure. 1.I will advice you reduce the pressure of the pump. 2.Introduce pressure reducing valve. If it doesn't work, then you can decide to change the shattaf completely. |

Badgers14: Thanks for your response.
So these things are advertised as 25 years warranty, is that 25 calendar years or just marketing ploy?
(I haven't seen this before that's why I am asking).
Also, do you know anyone that have used this system between 2-5 years? ( do they have any concerns)?
Finally, are you privy to the cost to set up the whole system?
Thanks again Actually it's a marketing ploy.there is no manufacturer that will give 25yrs warranty on their products. - have a couple of designs like this before and have never had any issue or complains from client... But if you must get one,I recommend Ariston or sweet home. Sweet home and Ariston are still the best as far as I know. For this system, you can budget 1m - 1.5m |

Badgers14: So this does eliminate the need to have a heater in the house?
Would someone be able to assess the cold water as well? Or would this heater heat up everything? For the 1st question - Yes...what you have is a central system that will be located mostly on the roof for gravity flow.what you will now have is a single discharge pipe that will connect from system and tee off to your bathrooms.. -2nd question --for the Cold water supply,a supply cold water pipe will be taken from the cold water supply and linked to the HwH to discharge hot water. It's just like- cold water in,hot water out. |
